so I did a search but found nothing so here goes......I turned on my device an hour ago and the nav bar was unresponsive unless I have it on phablet mode. I even tried clean flashing new roms with no avail. After that I reflashed stock and it still doesn't work??? Has anyone ever had this problem??
Use any 'multitouch test' application and check the nav bar area if its respond to touch, if not its digitizer problem, else it could be some mess with DPI values.

I've had my Nexus 4 since it launched in Oct/Nov 2012 (Don't remember the month), and I've had no problems until recently.
I've searched touch screen and digitizer issues and didn't see anything specifically like I'm having. I've been running my Nexus 4 stock and unrooted since I got it, and recently the navigation bar goes crazy. And by crazy, I mean it thinks I'm pushing back/home/recent apps over and over again. Sometimes it goes away for an hour or so, and then it will come back.
I've installed LiquidSmooth and am using the PIE navigation for now, but does anyone know what is causing this? I figured it would be software, but its still doing it after I installed a custom ROM, so now I'm thinking its a hardware issue.
Anyone else have this? Any ideas on what could fix it?
Thanks!
might be hardware, digitizer issue, i would fastboot back to stock and factory reset and see if it persists. backup first though.
so with pie does it still goes crazy where the navibar should be?, go in developers menu and select show pointer location when it does
Hi,
So my Nexus 4 did work well, only I found a problem in the begin.
First with the navbar, it's was unresponsive, until I change the screen/rotation, but normale mode i didn't responde, not after any clear and reset, or another custom kernel/rom.
2 weeks after, my screen a little bit above the navbar, was unresposive.
So I can't open Apps in the home menu.
And now above the Apps's icon is the another row above also unresponive!
What is this?
I have reseted my phone 5 times now.
I fixed the screen by smashind hard to the ground, only the navbar doens't respond yet.
Hi, im having a trouble with my Zuk, somehow when I try to pull down the notification bar I can't, I pull it normally but it doesn't work at all.
I'll try to reset trebuchet, I'll check if there are any update and can't figure out what's happening.
As a example the notification bar pull out if you put the phone in landscape mode, working it well, but when I go back to vertical it don't respond anymore.
Anyone know or experience any problem similar? Can someone help me whit this?
Thanks for the help
Sorry for my English
Try a custom launcher, I hab this problem when I tested rescuration Remix(or so) I think its a simple software bug. If you are a bit experienced you can reflash cos12.1
I am having the same issue in my Lenevo Zuk Z1 phone. The notification bar is working perfect when phone is locked. But its not get to work in home screen.
Just got a Moto X Pure (Style XT15752) (Dual SIM India variant) a few weeks ago to replace a OnePlus that refused to charge.
Running on TruePureX MM ROM at the moment with Frankenclark kernel.
Had a few issues with ghost touches on the navigation bar early on but I always assumed it was due to moisture on the screen or something because it would always disappear in a few seconds (and in the meantime I'd give the screen a wipe with a cloth or such)
But now the nav bar completely refuses to accept touch input. When I enable show touches (in developer options), touches on the navigation bar area are not registered whatsoever.
Saw a couple threads with similar if not exactly the same issue but no solution as such.
The weird thing is that this part of the screen works perfectly in TWRP suggesting a software issue.
Tried wiping system and reflashing the ROM already with no success.
Any suggestions guys? Trying to fix this without going to service as that will take a while and I don't have a spare phone to use in the meantime. (My work seems to revolve around being connected 24/7)
P.S. Also using Button Savior to use the phone at the moment. Only the Home button works, not back and multitasking.

Just updated my phone today to PIE and my home button will not work at all. I've been mashing it to get out of apps (which isn't working) or open multitasking and I have to swipe up at least 50 times to get to apps. However, the back button is working. I am going to try and flash a couple more times, but I have already tried that 3 times. Anyone got an idea on how to fix or have similar problems?
Edit: Notification slide won't work either.
Update: Got upset and now my phone is wiped. Buttons work though.
