Hi guys
I installed JPM around two weeks ago and now my Home key doesn't work most of the times. I have to press it around 4 or 5 times to turn on the screen and sometimes it works properly. What might be the problem? Anyone else having the same issues?
But before taking it to the service center, flash the ROM that had come preloaded in the device/the ROM available for your country, or they'll say that the warranty is void as u flashed a different ROM.
ok guys will try it thanks for the reply
check your kernel!
It works for me!
i only have the stock kernel installed.
my phone is i5801 so might the prob be because i installed 5800 firmware?
Happened with me
Wiped data and cache from recovery and solved
Do try!
Dear all,
I bought my wife a Galaxy y from t-mobile. I noticed when I locked the device via the button on the right and put the device in standby, I cannot wake up the phone by pressing the home button and get the screen to unlock the device by wiping. Only when I press the home button fot long time and sometimes twice for a long time, I manage to get the unlock screen. Very annoying. And when I do this, the sd card has to be remounted every time. Does anyone have had similar issues? Phone is on GB2.3.5 with LA2 rom if i'm correct. LH2 is the new release.
There's a software update available via Kies, but is not installed yet. Could it solve the issue? I hope someone can help. Thanks
Update the device, maybe the problem is due to update............
Did you check your lockscreen settings? Check there, you may put long press option there. Btw are you on stock rom or custom rom?

You've got quite a strange problem man! Maybe some glitch with your framework-res.apk. Do a full wipe (data & cache), and see if it resolves the problem. If it dosen't then flash the latest stock firmware.
Thanks for all responses. I was on Kernel LC1 and now after the update on LH1. But more important is that the issue is solved. Now home button works fine and no strange messages about memory card anymore. So I'm happy now...or better my wife
Hi all I am newbie so please go easy on me
My S4 (9505) is on an EE 4G contract UK
I updated my phone to ME2 using Kies and of-course lost root.
I then used CF-AUTO ROOT and got the Wifi issues where it wont come on and it asks you to re-boot your phone.
So i then tried the rom from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250824
and used the stock ME2 one.
All seems ok Wifi working / 4g / but no NFC. I can enable NFC but i no longer get the NFC icon at the top of the phone. I touched it on my co-workers Note2 and nothing happens...his phone makes that NFC noise, but mine does nothing.
Anyhelp would be great.

Just flash the newest MEA ROM. Its very good, samsung fixed many things in this update.
Don't forget to clear cache and reset factory setting from recovery before and after you flash the new ROM.

2. which MEA Rom I should use.

In the stock recovery or any other custom recovery you have you can clear cache and reset factory.
With phone switched off press volume up button + home button + power button all in same time till is turning on.
This is the ROM >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314010
NFC should be working on unbranded ROM like the one you flashed, the reason the NFC icon is missing is because certain networks add the icon, in your case EE added the NFC icon on there own firmware.
Am on EE and that the first thing i thought as you.
hope it helps

removed all stuffs related to knox.. still no hope..:crying:
Look for a kernel compatible with 4.4.2 and your device model and flash it , be careful this case sensitive you may end up breaking your device if flashing the wrong kernel , use custom recovery to install .zip or Odin for .tar
