Alright, so who will sell the cheapest Xooms on release day?

I'm hearing Costco will sell them $100 lower than Best Buy. What about the official Verizon stores?

The costco thing isn't garunteed its just assumed. I asked a costco phone guys and that's what he expected the price to be since they sell the galaxy tab for $100 less than everyone else.

Today I have confirmed costco will have it for 699 and it will requirea one month activation.

Costco doesn't do preorders.

I just talked to my costco guy again and he said they expected $600-$700 so yea I would expect $699.

Imagine if it was $599 at Costco. Lol.

I just called my Costco and they had nothing in their inventory about the Motorola Xoom, strange. It's stuff like this that makes me iffy that EVERY Costco will have it on release day, especially if it's not even on their website.

True, but as i said i actually read the first email myself. It said "as soon as the 22 they would have a live demo, as soon as the 24 they would have the sell units." I think the key is AS SOON AS. This means depending on previous sells and the area the costco is in, it may be different. It may be they are holding out info too. Let me see if i can get the item number real quick. <Not in the system yet> Also make sure you are asking for the phone kiosk, not the main store.

Doubt it. If they were we would have heard something by now.

I keep checking amazon, praying... but I think I'll actually have to go to a store for this one.

I want to preorder it at best buy, but Sprint said I get an upgrade this year, plus that $100 rebate i didnt get back instantly last year and had to wait a year cause my credit was crap lol

What does your sprint upgrade eligibility have to do with preordering at BB?

Best Buy?

Anyone know if the Note II will be on sale at best buy tomorrow? I plan on buying the phone outright on my best buy card and getting the 13 month no interest and making payments.
I've already ordered the micro sim activation kit from the tmo website for .99 cents. $35 activation fee is waived if you do it online.
I tried calling best buy but of course the rep said she didn't know and to check back tomorrow. People on here are always more informed that people working at brick and mortar stores so I thought I'd ask. I've been looking online every day since they announced that it will be coming to tmobile.
Can't wait to get my hands on this device. I've been waiting what seems like years!

I work at bestbuy mobile an we usually don't carry any tmobile phones in store. You have to order it to be shipped to your house.

Sprint has announced that theirs would be available for purchase on the 25th, a few weeks ago? (or was it only 1 week... it's been so long waiting!)

My local Best Buy in Mountain View said that they will carry Sprint's Note 2 on launch day, but it's first come first serve basis.

As some friendly advice, have a backup plan just in case. When I worked there, sometimes we didn't get phones for a few weeks. Happened frequently with Verizon. They want exclusivity for a week or two.

I'm in the same boat, but make sure you do BestBuy's price match thing because for example the Galaxy S3 from Verizon retail store is $599 while Bestbuy's price is $699. Also at some point closer to the holiday season BestBuy is suppose to match Amazon and other online retailers instead of just local retailers. Good luck

Well, the note 2 is at least listed on the best buy website but it looks like they are already sold out. Gonna call best buy when they open to see if they them in stock on a whim.

If you are outside your return period, I don't think they will do anything. May be they will give you a coupon code for accessories if you call.

How long is return period? One month or three? When I buy things at Target, it's three months.

I just bought mine today . I already had to cancel the order and then re-order it the next day because Motorola screwed something up . They gave me a free case and $50 off to make up for it.
If I have to cancel and order this phone for a third efffing time just to save the other $50 I'm going to be super pissed.

Nice! Its on my birthday and I been debating on nexus 5 or motox and since the motox is now cheaper this is my own birthday present! Not sure if it would also work on that 50 off discount someone posted awhile ago hmmm...

For the "limited time" Cyber Monday and Wednesday offer, Moto was NOT refunding the difference if you purchased your X "recently", even if it was during the return period.
There was a thread here on XDA where multiple users posted that when they contacted Moto about a price adjustment due to having recently purchased the X, they were instructed they would have to do a return/repurchase type thing... (Or just purchase one at the "limited promo price" and return the originally purchased one due to how long the RMA and credit process takes).
Since Motorola Mobility also replied in the comments to that post "It will be promo codes like the holiday sale. You will need to register on Motorola.com and the code will be emailed to you." I expect this will be the same.

$350 for a developer edition is very tempting.

Damn, Motorola isn't playing nicely. Just shows how they jacked up the release price. The $599 phone can be had for $299 now. Shameless Motorola, no respect for early adopters.

So I'm gonna be in the market for a new phone in a few weeks. I'm gonna miss this price drop. But would you say the moto x is still a viable option. I'm torn between this and the n5. But I like this phones feature better and I do lots of driving and I don't want always have to touch my phone while driving. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

If the in store date is the 23d that seems reasonable.

Best Buy is going to have it on the 17th and you get the $200 instant gift card when you pick it up. Win-win. Get it before Verizon store and get the $200 right then without waiting on check from Samsung.

Mine also said the 23rd. But I can't see BB releasing on the 17 th and verizon not doing the same thing.
We all know Big V would rather ship early then change the date and end up being late.

Sorry if there was a misunderstanding on my part, but this is after trading in a working smartphone. This is the order I was told I should do it:
1. Preorder(get's you a $50 giftcard as well) the Note 4 within the specific time range(9/19/14-10/16/14)
2. On release day, bring in your trade-in and go through the process of getting the gift card for it.
3. Use both giftcards to buy the Note 4(of course you pay the difference if there's anything left over which there should be)

Since mine was ordered at Verizon, I had to spend $50 on a droid razr on Swappa, which is worth $15 trade in, so I will net $150, not ideal, but gets me half off.

Yeah at BB, they are giving the full $200 for ANY WORKING(no cracked screens, no water damage, etc) smartphone.
