I'm hearing Costco will sell them $100 lower than Best Buy. What about the official Verizon stores?
The costco thing isn't garunteed its just assumed. I asked a costco phone guys and that's what he expected the price to be since they sell the galaxy tab for $100 less than everyone else.
Today I have confirmed costco will have it for 699 and it will requirea one month activation.

True, but as i said i actually read the first email myself. It said "as soon as the 22 they would have a live demo, as soon as the 24 they would have the sell units." I think the key is AS SOON AS. This means depending on previous sells and the area the costco is in, it may be different. It may be they are holding out info too. Let me see if i can get the item number real quick. <Not in the system yet> Also make sure you are asking for the phone kiosk, not the main store.

You do realize that the group of numbers right below the Val number is the transaction number? Which means any best buy employee can go print a duplicate receipt and claim it as their own? Just an FYI.

EDIT: OK, I found the thread on Android Forums where some guy claims he had supposed phone conversations with 3 different BB employees at 3 different BB stores and that they all said $600. I'm sorry, I just don't believe it! Even if it is true (which I doubt) I can easily cash in my $50 BB gift card and walk 100 yards to the Sprint store to buy it for $450.

OK, I take it back. I was just made aware of the fact that Best Buy is charging $599 for unsubsidized Heros.
Sprint only only charges $429.
I also just noticed (in the fine print) that the $50 Best Buy gift card is NOT redeemable for cash.

I made the stupid mistake of creating $300 in gift cards to help budget for this. If I get stuck having to pay another 300 there will be problems. They're going to adjust my price or refund my money.
As I understand it, you can use the gift card towards the price of the phone. Just pre-ordered mine today too.

I went in and they instantly gave me cash (paid with debit). I'm sure that you'd be fine getting a refund all the way until June. Just tell them that you don't want a marked up phone, and they hadn't released the price when you paid.

on the yellow bestbuy mobile receipt at the bottom right box where it says "best number and time to contact you" the sales rep wrote down "when phone release june 5th".very weird.

Plus they list the shipping date as July 31st, and I can barely wait for it as it is. What's your guys opinion on the better choice? I wanna order it soon, I'm really excited for it!

The general consensus is that it won't include the 25 gift card if ordered from gamestop this hasn't been confirmed but is likely

When I spoke to the guy at my GS he said hat they have a ''soft date'' of 7/31 but in the ''training'' they received to push these tablets they were told mid july. When they have a hard date it'll be listed as a ''street'' date.

If you have anything to trade, go with Gamestop. I traded in my 64gb iPod Touch 4th Generation that I never use anymore. It was in "Like New" condition, so the trade-in value was $203. With the extra 30% I got around $265 for it. With the original cost and tax of the tablet ($266.05), I owed $0.85. So I basically got the tablet for less than a dollar. I had saved up enough money to buy it, but now I'm pocketing the $270 that would have been spent on it which is a pretty damn good feeling.

Anyone know if the Note II will be on sale at best buy tomorrow? I plan on buying the phone outright on my best buy card and getting the 13 month no interest and making payments.
I've already ordered the micro sim activation kit from the tmo website for .99 cents. $35 activation fee is waived if you do it online.
I tried calling best buy but of course the rep said she didn't know and to check back tomorrow. People on here are always more informed that people working at brick and mortar stores so I thought I'd ask. I've been looking online every day since they announced that it will be coming to tmobile.

As some friendly advice, have a backup plan just in case. When I worked there, sometimes we didn't get phones for a few weeks. Happened frequently with Verizon. They want exclusivity for a week or two.

I'm in the same boat, but make sure you do BestBuy's price match thing because for example the Galaxy S3 from Verizon retail store is $599 while Bestbuy's price is $699. Also at some point closer to the holiday season BestBuy is suppose to match Amazon and other online retailers instead of just local retailers. Good luck

I just bought mine today . I already had to cancel the order and then re-order it the next day because Motorola screwed something up . They gave me a free case and $50 off to make up for it.

For the "limited time" Cyber Monday and Wednesday offer, Moto was NOT refunding the difference if you purchased your X "recently", even if it was during the return period.
There was a thread here on XDA where multiple users posted that when they contacted Moto about a price adjustment due to having recently purchased the X, they were instructed they would have to do a return/repurchase type thing... (Or just purchase one at the "limited promo price" and return the originally purchased one due to how long the RMA and credit process takes).
Since Motorola Mobility also replied in the comments to that post "It will be promo codes like the holiday sale. You will need to register on Motorola.com and the code will be emailed to you." I expect this will be the same.
$350 for a developer edition is very tempting.
Damn, Motorola isn't playing nicely. Just shows how they jacked up the release price. The $599 phone can be had for $299 now. Shameless Motorola, no respect for early adopters.

So I'm gonna be in the market for a new phone in a few weeks. I'm gonna miss this price drop. But would you say the moto x is still a viable option. I'm torn between this and the n5. Sorry if there was a misunderstanding on my part, but this is after trading in a working smartphone. This is the order I was told I should do it:
1. Preorder(get's you a $50 giftcard as well) the Note 4 within the specific time range(9/19/14-10/16/14)
2. On release day, bring in your trade-in and go through the process of getting the gift card for it.
3. Use both giftcards to buy the Note 4(of course you pay the difference if there's anything left over which there should be)

Sorry if there was a misunderstanding on my part, but this is after trading in a working smartphone. This is the order I was told I should do it:
1. Preorder(get's you a $50 giftcard as well) the Note 4 within the specific time range(9/19/14-10/16/14)
2. On release day, bring in your trade-in and go through the process of getting the gift card for it.
3. Use both giftcards to buy the Note 4(of course you pay the difference if there's anything left over which there should be)

Try grabbing you an old, cheap smartphone from Swappa or Ebay. I've seen a few in the $35 price range:good:

Since mine was ordered at Verizon, I had to spend $50 on a droid razr on Swappa, which is worth $15 trade in, so I will net $150, not ideal, but gets me half off.

Yeah at BB, they are giving the full $200 for ANY WORKING(no cracked screens, no water damage, etc) smartphone.

I preordered mine on Monday from Verizon and they said I should have it by the 23rd.
