If you are outside your return period, I don't think they will do anything. May be they will give you a coupon code for accessories if you call.

I just bought mine today . I already had to cancel the order and then re-order it the next day because Motorola screwed something up . They gave me a free case and $50 off to make up for it.
If I have to cancel and order this phone for a third efffing time just to save the other $50 I'm going to be super pissed.

For the "limited time" Cyber Monday and Wednesday offer, Moto was NOT refunding the difference if you purchased your X "recently", even if it was during the return period.
There was a thread here on XDA where multiple users posted that when they contacted Moto about a price adjustment due to having recently purchased the X, they were instructed they would have to do a return/repurchase type thing... (Or just purchase one at the "limited promo price" and return the originally purchased one due to how long the RMA and credit process takes).
Since Motorola Mobility also replied in the comments to that post "It will be promo codes like the holiday sale. You will need to register on Motorola.com and the code will be emailed to you." I expect this will be the same.
$350 for a developer edition is very tempting.
Damn, Motorola isn't playing nicely. Just shows how they jacked up the release price. The $599 phone can be had for $299 now. Shameless Motorola, no respect for early adopters.

So I'm gonna be in the market for a new phone in a few weeks. I'm gonna miss this price drop. But would you say the moto x is still a viable option. I'm torn between this and the n5. But I like this phones feature better and I do lots of driving and I don't want always have to touch my phone while driving. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Ordered mine Tuesday night.. Called last night. They first offered me a $100 google play card. Then a $100 accessories.. A supervisor was checking on other options and will call me back. If I don't hear by when I get home tonight, I'm going to call and take them up on the accessories deal.

Same situation. I don't want the accessory coupon so I'll re-order at the new price and return the first device when the second one arrives. Just need to call to verify that there's no restocking fee.

I wasn't too excited about it myself but then again, having the device for a week and actually purchasing it 10/29, I'm just glad I got something. She even made sure to tell me that I can't use the credit towards any accessory that is specifically for the Dev edition. No clue what can be purchased specifically for the Dev edition but the only thing I actually want is the car dock so that's better then nothing.

Yeah that makes sense. If it was less of a difference I'd take the credit (which iirc only lasts 30 days). I'll probably buy the car dock from Amazon or something. Only thing that sucks is that I'll have to pay for the return shipping ($10 for FedEx ground).
Edit: You can ask for a free shipping label but you have to wait 24 hours. With the shipping label, the savings are $107 for me (tax).
I bought the T-Mobile version on 11-5-13 for $600 and it is now $500. I called and asked for a refund on the difference and they offered me a $100 credit for accessories. After refusing they offered me a $100 visa gift card, which is what I took. It takes 4-6 weeks to arrive however.

When I ordered, I got hit with a 689.65 and 689.09 charge... My Credit Card company's fraud department called me about it. the bill was supposed to be $688.99. Its still being worked on. I haven't seen any other charges pop up.

Its kind of hard to contact them when their chat and email is offline. Finally got email to work and then had a new window for chat pop up and that one works. Talking to a csr now. And the email is on its way to me. Says to reply before midnight tonight, and it takes up to 2 days for you to get the code to unlock a one time in-store credit that's good till December 31st. And all the accessories I want are out of stock?

The email says the coupon code will arrive about 2 days after they receive the reply back from you with the information they asked for. Since they extended the sale the code would have to get here before the sale ends to use it and the earliest I see getting the code is Thursday.
Is the deal on Wednesday and next Monday only for motomaker or are they going to open it up for Dev editions as well?

From my understanding its only for moto maker phones as the dev editions sold out. Doesn't hurt to check the site Wednesday and Monday just to be sure.

There were other ways to get into chat yesterday besides the main support page. I got in by sending an email to customer support which then popped up a chat window which was working. The email I received said you could only apply for the in-store credit until midnight last night, it was only good on full priced, unbranded phones (not a carrier phone) purchased from the Motorola website after November 18th.

I asked the CSR during my session and she told me the coupon is good for any purchase on Motorola.com, including phones. The reason I was okay with getting a coupon is because I had planned to buy a Moto G as a gift, so I made sure to ask her.

The ebony back looks amazing, but I don't think I can justify selling my used phone just to buy a replacement (wood-backed) phone
For $25 I would've bought the bamboo back. Instead, I didn't see paying $100 for the back, and I ended up buying just a white. With all these price adjustments i don't know if I were better off just buying the Nexus 5 and waiting until the next $150 off coupon...

What do you mean.. It's a permanent price drop. I think the unlocked price will stay at this until the next version of moto x. Don't know about the useless carrier versions , since they keep running crappy promotions which locks people into 2 years and people fall for it.

If it's permanent, that's great to hear. I'm just a bit cautious in that it may be a promotional price to encourage the purchase of the new wood backs. The bamboo backing is what I have my eye on and I'll be sure to start saving especially now that I can save $75.

This ticks me off. I ordered mine the 20th dec and got between the campaigns (skip, chromecast, 100usd pricedrop) and now they lowered the wooden backs by 75usd which I payed a 100 for?!
If I bought the phone in the "right moment" I could have it for 175 less.

Well you will not get a refund email .. Everyone who had bought bamboo back Moto x got an email with $75 coupon for buying accessories.
If you want refund or didn't get the coupon code email then you need to call them.

Sorry if there was a misunderstanding on my part, but this is after trading in a working smartphone. This is the order I was told I should do it:
1. Preorder(get's you a $50 giftcard as well) the Note 4 within the specific time range(9/19/14-10/16/14)
2. On release day, bring in your trade-in and go through the process of getting the gift card for it.
3. Use both giftcards to buy the Note 4(of course you pay the difference if there's anything left over which there should be)

Since mine was ordered at Verizon, I had to spend $50 on a droid razr on Swappa, which is worth $15 trade in, so I will net $150, not ideal, but gets me half off.

Yeah at BB, they are giving the full $200 for ANY WORKING(no cracked screens, no water damage, etc) smartphone.

They had a sale last year but from what I remember, the site wasn't working and some people got to the check out page and the discounts didn't work. I'm also waiting for a deal because it was $150 off but that won't do you any good if they have technical issues with the site.
The 2013 also wasn't selling like the 2014. Less incentive for a big sale ...

WIth the 2013 version it was pretty easy to get a discount if you were within your return policy when the phone went on sale. It was a nightmare for me with the 2014 version (over an hour on the phone with multiple departments, etc), but it can be done without having to actually ship back your phone, which is what they tried to insist on.

I received my Moto X last Friday and hence I'm within the 14 day return window. I've just got off the phone to see if I could get the £100 discount and all they offered me way a £100 credit against products on the website. In the UK this is really only the Moto 360 which I don't want. They said they couldn't just refund me £100 so I asked for a return label.
£100 can't be ignored so back it goes. Madness.
