You should be still in warranty, right? Why not contact customer service and replace a new one.

Did anyone find the cause. It started happening to mine after 22 months. My main issue is the gap is causing the Wireless charging antenna inside to disconnect, so my phone will no longer charge when placed on the orb unless I squeeze the phone on the left side.
i remember some guy on imgur noticed the samething. turned out his battery was defect, because he used an aftermarket charger and it started to slowly puff up, like a ballon. this made the screen lift a little bit. he replaced the battery and everything was fine since then i believe

So I have noticed a fairly large grouping of dust has collected under my screen on the top left corner. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this and how did you get it taken care of?

Happens to a lot of people including myself. I just deal with it since I can only see it during the day in the sun. You can take it to the spring store and they might fix it for you.

I have recently noticed the same thing in the same upper left corner. I switched from my oversized battery and cover back to the original battery and cover to see if that helps prevent it from getting worse.

I've been using a different back as well, for the powermat charger. I wonder if that is what caused it. Well, off to the sprint store I guess. We'll see what they say.

I have the same problem in the upper-left hand corner. I didn't have an extended battery until today. Completely stock, even got the dust while I had my screen protector on. I do notice that my phone has what I think is called "screen separation". Sometimes when I press down on the screen, it feels strange like it is separated. Hasn't affected the operation of the phone, but it's not too big of a deal for me to take back to Sprint yet. I only notice the dust when the screen is completely black and in direct light, too.

I actually noticed the dust under my screen about two weeks ago and have not made it to the sprint store yet. Should I even bother going there or are they not going to do anything for me? I have the Total Equipment Protection as well.
I've noticed dust under my screen as well. What sucks is the dust is right on top of the front facing camera ....maybe this weekend I will take it to the sprint store and see what they say.
Yeah I have it too, also have a blown speaker for the 2nd time -______-. I took it in to get fixed and they gave me a new screen (awesome) but forgot to put a earpiece back in. Looks like im just ignoring the 2nd time i got dust under the screen and gonna fix the rear speaker myself, or try to at least.
If they have any displays in stock, they'll replace it on the spot. Just make sure you tell them you want a brand new component. The store I took it too put a display that was all scratched up and nicked on the edges on my phone as if I wouldn't mind. How insulting!
Hi
I got my HTC one just under a week ago on three and I'm in love with it. But there are some things I'm worried about. One thing is that when I play games or plug the phone in charge the cool aluminum back becomes rather uncomfortably hot and makes me have to switch hands, it doesn't burn but it does irritate...
Secondly I've seen some posts about gaps at the top and I have those but I was wondering if anyone else has a very fine bulge of the plastic above where the usb port is? I don't know if this is a fault of my phone or it is a general thing so I don't know whether to ask for an exchange or not... If anyone wants pictures of the gap just say!

I know it's only slight but it bothers me when i catch it in the corner of my eye
i dont see anything
The tiny white bit in the right side, look across the phone and you'll see it better because you can't see the white bit anywhere else... I do have really sharp eyes though so If you can't see it I'm sorry

I can see it, i have excactly the same on my One, im just living with it though as everything else is soo perfect!
The only thing im worried about, is were that is, were the charger plugs in, the 2 little 'Catches' on the charger that hold it in rub on the white bit, in other words the hole seems to small, only slightly, i may contact HTC about this as im a little worried it will cause future problems like a Broken Charger or Charge Point etc. . .
Yeah that's exactly what I was worried about with the charger thing, if you do contact HTC let me know how it goes

ahhh thanks. i suppose that is the overhang issue. the speaker grille is badly glued.
htc is supposedly working on a solution right now, and it will be resolved in april batches. i think

I don't think it is because I can't push it in at all so I'm guessing the size of something in that area is wrong :/

Mine gets very hot too, I'm guessing that is a metal thing though, the gaps don't bother me or any slight overhang.
For me the issues are...
Blinkfeed
Heat
slow charging
home button is so hard to hit because it's small and in the corner
no battery percentage
no file search on the phone

Try a launcher or put blink feed to the side and disable all sources? The file search apps on the market do me fine but normally they put something on the battery so there is less heat transfer to one spot I n the metal but I don't think they've done that in the first batch :/ and mine charges pretty fine as well

I too have the overhang on the charging port. I have had two handsets (first one replaced due to gaps at top which moved when pressed) and its been on them both.
Second one has a slight dent/scratch in the white band, so ill wait another week (still in 28 days) and try and get another swap out. I do love the phone, battery life is immense, I'm getting about 2.5 days out of it at mo.
I have owned so many HTC phones it boggles the mind. In that time I have had to have 3 go in for repair. On stopped charging (one S) another had the wifi GPS glitch (one X international) and one just plain died one day to never turn on again (ATT one x+). All of these were taken care of by HTC. Can't say without issue, the international one X they scratched the case and took a little while to get a new one but in the end all my issues were taken care of. I would really say wait until HTC has resolved these issues and then they will take care of you 100%. You will need to be able to send the phone in for repair but they are fairly quick about 10 days total turn around time. They also didn't have any issue at all repairing a international phone at the USA HTC repair center something that is not true with Samsung.
Are you in the UK or America? Cus if you're in the UK I think I can get an exchange as well

I recently been having problems with my battery the phone basically doesn't even work without being plugged in, so I want to call up Google to get the phone repaired. I've been wondering will Google accept a phone with scratches on the chrome bezel? What if the phone was opened to fix the red led of death? Or if the screen was replaced not by LG? Does Google actually open the phones and check them? What if the chrome bezel was cracked (one of my friends chrome bezel cracked right above the sim card tray on one side due to it being very weak)? I myself don't have all these problems but thought this would help a lot of people who are in doubt. Thanks for everyone who replys

If they find out any of those issues about it being opened and not being the original lcd Im sure they will charge for the new phone and send back your old one. I mean thats why they put an Auth on your card incase they find out more was wrong with the phone than described or if it is something not caused by manufacture issues.
Hey everybody,
I bought this phone last week and installed a skinomi screen protector. I removed it after about 12 hours to try and remove some dust from underneath the screen. I set it aside to do it later and I powered the phone on without the screen protector, I was really surprised when I got a screen that said that the lcd appeared damaged.
Knock-on does not work at all, if I apply pressure to the right side of the screen it simulates a weird half touch to the right. Any ideas? I'll probably just add the phone insurance and get a new one unless someone has a fix.
Thanks

Why not just take it back. You are still in the 14 day window.

Are the Skinomi wet application? Maybe you used too much water or something and it damaged your screen.

maybe, but I've done alot of them and I've never had a problem before...
That screen pops up if you hold a certain button combination too. I can't remember how I found it but I was looking in the system files via nova, and noticed it. May not even,be damaged.

well i i know the digitizer worked. so im going to try putting my old cracked screen on. this is getting annoying...
Going to sound really weird. When you reassembled the phone your white antenna cable near the bottom of the phone crosses over a connection right before it plugs in. Is that connection covered with a non conductive material or no? Reason I ask is that I have recently performed this repair myself and ran into an issue similar to this. Believe it or not but shielding that connection from the antenna cable with a piece of electrical tape fixed the crazy acting screen I had.
Here's a link to the thread I had with a video how to I found.
