I noticed the text size is uneven on forums while I am using chrome on nexus 4. The AOSP browser doesn't have the same problem, nor does chrome on my nexus 7.2.
Chrome is downloaded from google play.
Does anyone know what causes it or how I can fix it?
I noticed this as well, I've searched online but haven't been able to find a solution. Hopefully Google fixes it one day cause it's been a problem for a long time now.

It's pretty much been an issue since Chrome came out for Android (and yes, I've seen it mostly on phones).
Annoys the heck out of me, and I did submit feedback about it but heard nothing

I guess this is a feature, not a bug It's supposed to zoom only the main content part of a page to save you from zooming in manually. Obviously it's not always accurate.

I was browsing the forum last night using my Xoom and TapaTalk Pro. I noticed that long posts (like this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11635160&postcount=1) cause the Xoom display to become unreadable -- I don't quite know how to describe it -- all the pixels jumble up to the point you can't read the post.
It's particularly noticeable during a fast scroll. Sometimes it recovers and sometimes is stays messed-up.
I tried a reboot to see if that fixes the problem, but no joy. I haven't seen the problem anywhere else so I attribute it to a problem with TapaTalk. Has anyone else noticed this problem (in TapaTalk or anywhere else)?
It's been happening with me too. Any fixes? Probably an update would fix that.

Same here ! Happens alot when its a long post with links for me! It even happens when you put it in portrait

It looks like all the lines of text are pushed on top of each other, as if the processor isn't fast enough. I had that problem too.
I have seen this myself. Usually just touching the screen makes it stop for me. Then when I scroll again it does it again.

I have seen the same thing since day one but I am chalking it up to something that will be a adressed with a Tablet version of the app. I have not seen this in any other app., email, text, or web session.
Tapping the screen once fixes any blurriness for me.

I've noticed that when making a slow even scroll through any app the movement is kind of jittery/stuttery - kind of like a very rapid screen flicker (but different to the screen issues posted elsewhere as the brightness setting is not a factor). It doesn't happen on any of my other devices. Don't think it's a processor issue as games/videos are flawless. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?
On a side note, white backgrounds seem very yellow (see attachment) - especially compared to my OG transformer. It's not a massive issue and i appreciate this is a budget tablet - just wondering whether this is normal or if it's a fault.
thanks.
I'm seeing some stuttering on Google+ that I really notice.

I notice this stutter in chrome all the time. Very frustrating.
I get stutter swiping from image to image in QuickPic, some microstuttering in Google+ in the What's Hot section.
Maybe some apps aren't GPU accelerated and the CPU is a bit on the poor side to handle it?

Have you also noticed that the yellow background is easier on the eyes? It was done on purpose, because this was built primarily as a kindle fire competitor..
As far as the scroll stutter, its Chrome. Try Opera or Dolphin and check back with us. It does the same on mine. Dolphin, Boat, and Opera are better browsers. Try them all out, I think you'll find happiness with one of those!

I also notice it less in the Dolphin HD or Dolphin Mini browser.

Go into developer options and check disable hw overlays

I have a lot of stutter in google play store, chrome and some time in games as well. It happened in dead trigger. plus when am not running any apps in the background and i go to settings, battery i see lot of stuff there like google play, chrome, dolphin browser, picspeed wallpapers and many other stuff as well. and the cracking sound that it makes on my right side of the screen. I opened the back and tightened the screw still no luck still makes noise. i can only think that the back case is making the cracking sound. Plus my jelly bean is not butter smooth like most video i have seen. I was thinking of exchanging it but am thinking if i do that i might get a even worse one. Google really need to give another update soon that fixes some of these problems

Yeah, you might have a point there.

As i said, it's not specific to any particular app, it happens whether in maps, browser, menus etc. unfortunately.
Tried hw overlays; no joy i'm afraid.
This happens everywhere during any slow touchscreen movement because of a crappy touchscreen controller and crappy filtering algorithms. The app is just scrolling to wherever the touchscreen tells it to (which is to random points around your finger tip several times a second) and this makes it look like it's jumping up and down or microstuttering.
I'm fairly new the Nexus Player. In fact I just got mine today. So far I'm really liking it. However I recently updated to Android Lollipop 5.1.1 and have noticed scrolling issues. Seems like every time I scroll through the Google Play store or Google Movies and TV app about every five or so tiles it'll skip back three. It's very irritating. Not sure if it's a bug or not. Anybody else notice this and if so how did you go about fixing it ?
Edit: NVM after further reading of posts on this topic this seem to indeed be a weird glitch/bug reportedly for anyone using android lollipop 5.0 and above that hasn't been fixed by Google as of yet

When using Chrome to view a page with white text on a black background, white lines appear under the scroll bar on the right of the screen. They track with the text as I scroll up and down. I also notice them on white background/black text, but it is harder to see.
Is this normal from Chrome/AMOLED screens or is there a hardware issue with my phone?
I'm unable to post a screenshot due to low post count.
I think it's Chrome. My Nexus 6 did it too. I see it only with Chrome.
It's a chrome issue.. I see it as well on my nexus 5x. However it does not do it on the chrome beta version

Glad to hear it. Thanks!
The Chrome for Android team at Google is lazy as hell. How they didn't notice this bug before releasing the app to a billion phones I have no idea. I don't really like a lot of the things Apple does, but they would never let something so amateur happen.
I noticed this issue as well. I also had it on my Nexus 6. The thread at Android Central has some pretty good pictures of it happening: http://forums.androidcentral.com/nexus-6p/602151-nexus-6p-chrome-glitched-pixels-right-side-screen.html
So question is, what browser are you using?
And what browsers is out there for least battery and ram usage?
Over the years i got used to chrome so much that i just cant make myself try other browsers, even if its not necessary the best one
I had problems playing video within other browsers, including Firefox a long time ago. I've been on Chrome for the past couple years, now.

Exactly this. I've tried so many other browsers... But I just can't pull myself away from chrome. Chrome I think just works better for what I do/need.
Chrome Beta or Dev. Gives a good glimpse of experimental/upcoming features.
Used to use dolphin and only reason i didn't move away was i had lastpass, now i use keepass i've moved to chrome and i much prefer it.
I've been using Chrome for long time and I don't plan to change that anytime soon.

Chrome got a stranglehold on me on both phone and desktop. I can't get jiggy with any other browsers.
Chrome. Mostly for the syncing. It's so good. It's not the fastest by any means. Aosp browser blows everything it if the water for speed, but not worth giving up syncing for me.

CM browser is fast..dolphin browser for flash player..:good:
Like Dolphin as my daily driver....
Chrome Dev. Regular Chrome crashes webpages way too often on Android N.
Forever on Chrome as well.
Opera is the best BY FAR! Like not even any close seconds.
It's pretty quick, smooth (mostly)....but the main thing..REFLOWS TEXT!!!
Google got rid of reflow text so you would be forced to see their ads. Chrome sucks because who wants to keep scrolling constantly to read!
Makes a huge difference.
Also can set to use Desktop sites. Highly recommended.

I'm pretty sure chrome, Firefox and most browsers can be set to use desktop version of the website you're visiting.

I switched to opera a year ago and have not looked back. Beside the aforementioned items, the quick buttons to scroll completely to the top or bottom of a page is something I cannot be without anymore.

That's not the selling point. Reflow text is. Try it out.
It makes it SOOOOO much better than Chrome.
Why do some people got for chrome beta instead of just chrome? Are there different features?
