[Q] Galaxy Y: Reverting to stock ROM - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

Hi everyone esp. XDA devs....
I had already a custom rom installed in my galaxy Y, to be specific it is JellyblastV3, and I want to replace it with a new custom rom for my Galaxy Y i.e. Hyperion (from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2330297).
The problem is, the thread says, I must revert first my Galaxy Y to stock rom by using Odin and I'd read Guide to Flashing ROMS and Kernel.
I don't want to use Odin to revert my Galaxy Y to stock firmware simply because I don't have a cable connector.
The main question is, can I use Boot.img_flasher_V2.0_faqbly_2.zip, it is a Kernel Flasher from Recovery Mode, to flash the STOCK FIRMWARE PACKAGE? Is it possible?
the follow up questions are:
where can I find the boot.img in my Galaxy Y on order to place it in root of sdcard? I mean what is the source file location of boot.img?
according to your opinion, which is better STOCK FIRMWARE PACKEGE to install?
a) S5360_DXLJ1_OLBLG1_DXLI1_wipe_by_SplitFUS2.zip?
or
b) S5360_DXLL1_OLBLL1_DXLL1_wipe_by_SplitFUS2.zip?
The current Baseband version of my galaxy Y is S5360DXLL1.
any Help is SO MUCH APPRECIATED. :good:
PLEASE help me guys. :crying:
Thank you so MUCH in advanced for those who helped and will help.
:angel:GOD Bless you ALL guys...

CREED V4

Hello everyone. I like CREED V4 and tried installing final build but every time I end up with bootloops. Is this rom fail, or I am doing something wrong?
I followed this tutorial:
1. Flash stock DDLK2 rom as Xicor Yagami said in his thread
2. Boot into CWM recovery
3. Wipe data
4. Wipe cache
5. Wipe dalvik cache (just in case)
6. Wipe battery stats (just in case)
7. Flash CREED V4 rom
8. Reboot
If I am doing something wrong, tell me the right tutorial for installing
After flashing stock DDLK2,follow the steps:
1.Boot into CWM.
2.Under mounts and storage,format system,data and cache.
3.Go back and wipe data and cache.
4.Again go to mounts and storage and mount all the partitions (All should show unmount)
5.Install zip from zip sd card and choose Creed V4 rom file.
6.When the installation is completed,go back and wipe data, cache and dalvik cache.
7.Once done with above steps, reboot the phone!
This tutorial works for every rom.

[Q] Kit Kat flashing and external sd

Hi everyone
Right now I'm using a MK9 custom rom on my GT-i9500 with perseus kernel alpha16 and 4.2.2 bootloader (without any of KNOX s**t).
Actually I'm just about to flash Omega's NB3 build (or maybe wanam's one) and I'm really confused
I read several times that I should completely format every corner of my phone but what about my External SD? Will it be wiped when installing the ROM? Should I get it out before beginning the install and put it back after?
Also, if I have to format internal SD and remove the external one, where do I just put the installation zip?
And last question, is last Philz recovery (based on CWM 6.0.4.7) okay for all this?
Thanks for your help

No need to wipe external sd
Download custom kitkat and moved to external
Wipe data - cache - system - flash using CWM 6.0.4.6/ twrp
Absolutely correct

Ok here's the step by step guide:
1. Download this recovery, partition and rom place it in your root of your external sdcard.
2. Go to recovery then choose the recovery zip from your sdcard and flash it.
3. In the recovery itself go to advanced->reboot recovery.
4. When the recovery is rebooted make a factory reset, wipe partition cache, wipe dalvik cache.
In the recovery go to mounts and storage and wipe system, data and cache.
NOTE: While installing from sdcard in new recovery it will show you like /sdcard0=(external memory card) and /sdcard1=(internal storage).
5. Flash the partition from your sdcard. (Most probably the sdcard0.)
6. Reboot recovery.
7. Flash the ROM.
Happy Flashing......:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Basically you should always flash a custom ROM on a stock one,
so flash a stock samsung ROM (make sure there is no secured bootloader etc...)
then wipe and install, i always do that :good:

if you followed your instructions the rom wont boot
you need to mount system data cache after you have wiped system data cache so it should be the following
wipe data
wipe system
wipe cache
mount data
mount system
mount cache
install zip from sd
select rom zip
restart

you still need to mount system data cache after you have formatted it
you also need to be on a stock based kernel
9 time out of 10 if its not booting its due to user error
The only other thing that would stop it booting is an incompatible baseband but I assume you are on a recent one and therefore should have no problems

invalid argument . cant mount help pls

cm kernels working fine but
stock and stock based kernels giving this error .
how can i solve this problem? ?

1st download the below file & put it in /sdcard/firmware/ (u ve to make a folder in the root of sdcard & name it as "firmware" .
then go to recovery, install zip from sdcard, then choose CWM, then in CWM install zip from sdcard & install the zip u ve downloaded in the /sdcard/firmware/ .Then install any rom.

1)Easy way without pc to solve the issue download multiformatter.zip (search forum) flash this zip in cwm it will open aroma installer follow the instructions and format the partitions to rfs. Close aroma mount everything and flash any rom.
