Hello everybody
I'm having a bit of a problem here! The integrated SIP client of my i9505 is not working!
I have put the correct username, password and server address but when I try to make a call it is just cancelled!
When I enter the same data in CSipSimple everything works normally! (using CSipSimple's Basic configuration)
I just don't want to use additional software. where is the problem?
MGA Stock firmware
the only mod is that it is rooted.

I have jasjar with latest rom from imate.
I have two major problem with my operator: TIM
1. follwing all the instructions about MMS on the TIM website I still get an error, receiving and sending MMS
2. changing the pin, I get "unknown sim error". I tried with two different sim, an old 32kB and a new one 128kB.
Any other italian reader with kaskar and TIM?
thanks
Rosario
Hi, I'm Italian and I get it working.
You need to:
1) set a new connection (I put it in My Work Connection): name timMMS,select a modem:Cellular Line (GPRS,3G),Access Point name: mms.tim.it
2) go to mms configuration (it's in the menu in the messaging centre), and you put the data you can find here: www.i.tim.it/file/0,,774,00.pdf
So server name TIM_mms (or whatsoever), gateway 213.230.130.89, port number 9201, server address http://mms.tim.it/servlets/mms
connect via Work, and IMPORTANT: choose Wap version WAP 1.2, not 2.0 or it doesn't work
Ciao
I configured it in this way too. But no luck, I still get an error after 30 secs sending messages, or retriving it.
Very strange, same sim, same parameters but different phone and everything works great.
I don't understand why in some jasjar they work and in others they don't.
Do you get an error when you try to change the pin code to you sim?
thanks
ciao
anyone of you got the MobileTV working ... which are the RTSP addresses ?
rpingar, I disabled the pin code.
Maybe you should try this (I haven't a clue, but...)
Please pay attention to put it in WAP mode 1.2
I have successfully connected with the Qtek 9100 AKU2 ROM (the latest stable ROM for HTC Wizard) to Cingular via Bluetooth and Mac OS X 10.4.6. Instructions:
1. Pair OSX and the phone. You might need to check the "any device" checkbox on OSX's pairing utility.
2. Verify to OSX that you do want to use that device as a modem (if you don't get that dialog, then you will need to create the Bluetooth connection yourself -- message me or leave a comment if you need instructions and I will reply to you).
3. RENAME the attached iPAQ-GSM.txt to plain iPAQ-GSM (remove the .txt extention using the Finder 'Get Info' dialog). Copy the file "iPaq-GSM" to your /Library/Modem Scripts/ folder. I modified the original script that was floating on the internet for a year now in order to work with Cingular (the original script wouldn't get a carrier signal with my phone -- it needed some small initialization changes).
4. Go to your System Preferences/Network/Bluetooth/. There enter the following:
Service Provider: Cingular
Account Name: [email protected] (case sensitive)
Password: CINGULAR1 (case sensitive)
Tel number: *99# (the *99***1# number that does work with other phones doesn't work with the HTC Wizard)
On PPP options uncheck "tcp header compression".
On the Modem tab uncheck both "enable error correction" and "wait for dial tone". From the modem drop-down menu select the iPaq-GSM modem script.
Then, click Apply and then open the "Internet Connect" application and select Bluetooth from there. Click "Connect" and you should now be connected on the net via Cingular GPRS/EDGE.
Alternatively, you can create a new networking bluetooth connection instead of using the generic bluetooth networking pref panel, but that involves a bit more work -- although I personally prefer it as I have over 8 phones and I need different networking connection names and settings for each, instead of using the default "Bluetooth" one. If you are on the same boat, IM me or leave a comment for more instructions.
Thanks
dude you just made my day. It works perfectly. Thank God for people smarter then me.
Unfortunately, in my AKU2 QTek ROM, the PPP server dies right after I disconnect from the Mac. I have to reboot the PocketPC before I can reconnect my Mac to GPRS.
If anyone knows more, please download the script above and tell us if there is a way to fix this.

Hello people,
I have installed sip voip tools in my htc touch, but is not working. The problem is the configuration, I have a sip account of an argentinian provider which uses username, password, and auth id ( or pin), the problem is that the sip tools has only 2 textbox one for the user and the other for the password, and I need to put de "auth ID" which is different of the username, How can I fix this?
Thank you for your help and sorry for my english.
I have successfully installed an Android ROM to flash using these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948 along with this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893620.
Everything worked great. I did have to manually enter the APNs which are given in the FAQ to establish my 3G connection but that was not an issue.
I was able to sign in to my google account on the phone without an issue.
The problem I am having is when I try to create my exchange account. I enter all the data in including username, pw, server, domain, and check the box for SSL. It Verifies the account info and than comes to the page for the sync settings where you select what you want to sync. When I click Finish Setup it attempts to process for a minute than comes up with:
Error Failed to create the account. Please try again later.
My exchange server is up and running as I am still getting emails in Outlook and my Other Android phone and it was working on this phone before flashing the ROM.
Is there a problem with this ROM that does not allow for exchange sync or am I just missing something. I have been searching the forums but have not found anyone posting this issue. This is an exchange server 2010 as well. Thanks for the help.

I'm using tytung's Nexus-HD2 Gingerbread V2.2 with Exchange Sync and it works!
With WLAN and 3G.
I've read and searched and Googled but I can't find an answer
I recently flashed my first Android NAND ROM: "CMYLXGOroms.Stock.Desire.HD.v1.1.4.1n.NAND.RMNET.NO-SQUASH-RAFPIGNA.1.7OC_CWM.zip".
Everything went smoothly and it all looks good except I cannot complete the Exchange ActiveSync account.
DETAILS:
1. I'm hosting my own Exchange server -2003
2. My SSL cert is self-generated from my own MS Cert Authority
3. I can view my OWA account via the native web browser w/o issue
4. My settings "appear" to be fine as I can reach the very end of the setup wizard. (If I change any of the ActiveSync account settings to an invalid option - say add an extra character to the server address - I receive an error when I click on "Next")
ISSUE:
1. On the last step of the setup wizard, when I click on "Finish setup" I receive the error:
"Failed to created the account. Please try again later."
QUESTIONS/THOUGHTS:
1. How to you import a SSL Cert in Android?
2. I've read about "Accept All SSL Certificates" dialog box you can check but I don't see one during the setup wizard - only the "This server requires an encrypted SSL connection". Is this a legacy setting or something that is hidden by HTC's SenseHD or? Is there anyway to access this option?
3. I've tried both checking and un-checking the "This server requires an encrypted SSL connection" - both give me the same failed result.
OTHER TROUBLESHOOTING:
1. I know this works as I've been successfully using Activesync with WinMo 6.1 & 6.5 on my wife's TouchPro2 and this works fine w/ the stock WinMo 6.5. So it's not a bad config on the back-end.
2. I tried installing Touchdown to see if that would work and I cannot get that to work either.
I'm getting really frustrated - any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
thnx
UPDATE:
I spent all day:
1. Creating a new DNS A record to point directly to my OWA server
2. Upgrading my SSL cert to an offical third-part cert from startssl.com (great service for free BTW)
3. Figuring out how to export/import/modify that cert to be installed on Android
I now have a nice DNS record that points to my OWA server (vs. the old DynDNS pointer) and I appreciate the SSL cert for free find, but I'm still ready to loose it over the lack of ActiveSync support.
Anybody have any idea if this is potentially a ROM issue and I should try another? Or is this a Froyo issue and I should try Gingerbread?
TIA
