EVO 2.3.3 hdmi out

I'm curious what the steps are to unlock the current bootloader that is on an EVO White I just received from insurance. My previous EVO had the charger port unattach, which I hear is pretty common, had it for only four months, but I was able to mirrior netflix and hbogo via a program I paid 5 dollars for on the market. The program is called hdmi out and is no longer on the market. Please help!!

If you had spent more than 30 seconds, you would have found over 80 threads asking about root for 2.3. You cannot root it yet. End of conversation. Next time, search.

A simple question, a simple answer, 5 seconds.. End Of Thread!!

Looking at the top 10 topics in this forum 3 of them are about 2.2.3 root not counting yours.
It is hard to be helpful when you clearly didn't take the time to find the answer on your own. Sorry for being harsh. A new day another question about 2.2.3 root........

To be fair to the newcomers, I don't see why this forum can't add a sticky post that says 2.3 OTA can't be unrooted. Would make it a lot easier for newcomers and make it completely inexcusable to start a new thread asking for 2.3.

Wow.. 3 posts and not one helpful word in the slightest.. Honestly.. what do you gain out of being a total prick?? It's just to hard to pass a topic up regardless if your any help or not vs upping your post count eh?? Cuz that's all your doing.. posting nonsense that has no meaning to anyone but yourself since it gives you a stiffy to be able to let someone know you feel superior to them by knowing pointless information..
2.3.3 has no root yet.. even the white version.. Sorry, but join the many of us waiting patiently for this to happen. I feel your pain though as I had root before and also received a replacement. Hopefully soon we'll be back to our flashing ways..

Dedicated guide/how to section?

Mods, I propose that we have a new section in this (and I suppose in other forums too) especially dedicated for guides and how-to's. This way we can organize a one-stop-shop for all the great tutorials out there!

I know, but recently, some of them, including my lengthy guide about AT&T functionality, have been bumped off. If they're all put in their own section, it makes it a lot easier to find than to go fishing through the masses.

Last time I looked at the Wiki, it was more like a link farm to posts and threads. I was going to have a go my self, but it looks like that is what a contributor has to do (make a thread or post, put a link on the wiki). Its not very cohesive, hence my not making any input, couldn't see the point.

Lots of drilling required. Mods more interested in giving some guys a tap on the wrist rather than actually looking at why some folk make mistakes, or reflecting on some of the ridicules statements they sometimes make.

xda is not well organised? mods are inefficient?
Well, what you guys have done to make it better? Time spent on complaining, might have been better used on something constructive, even if it was guiding some lost soul through the maze of useless threads...

No worries at all. Its something about the ppl on 'Note forums that makes it sooooo much fun and lively. Anarchists, rebels, go-getters, guys who go around with the middle finger permanently extended. I love it, you should too.

How This Is Gonna Work

If you want to confess that you've done something which you really shouldn't have done which was bad, then go ahead and post it.
This is also an advice thread because at times, some of the confessions could be someone who really doesn't know what to do for the best. As we're a community, please help them out if you feel you can.

Loving this phone!

Hey guys, recently moved to this phone from the HOX+. As I've researched before, the only negative I can see is the burnt out pixel that is very very tiny in the left hand corner of my screen. It doesn't bother me. I had to go through 3 devices to finally get one that didn't bug me so much, but hey, what are you gonna do, right? I'm an assistant manager here at RadioShack in town and I've seen on the two I've sold that they both had the same problem. Oh well, I say it's still an awesome phone. I have no rooted or unlocked the phone because I feel there is no need yet. The stock ROM is already fantastic and battery power is amazing, too. Just wanted to post this and ask what kind of apps you all are running and get some suggestions on how to make this device EVEN better. Thanks!

Welcome, had mine for a couple days. It is perfect. By far the best phone I have ever had. Even my iphone loving manager said that she is considering moving to this phone. She said it is beautiful. Re the apps, I think I saw a post in the themes section that had a list of the best apps. Give it a look.

People who always think they know everything and refer every thread he posts to "use the search button" & "google knows it" would kill xda itself due to reducing the pageviews/lesser income in ads.

I know right? I see one guy ask a simple question and 20 guys jump on his thread trying to explain (in very lengthy replies) how its a waste of bandwidth to ask the same questions over and over again and to learn to use the search button..
So we get a thread with 22 people , the OP, 20 idiots raging and 1 guy answering the OP's question.

Well anyways, I just simply wanted to ask about some cool stuff for the One. Seriously, amazing phone. So can anyone give me some tips or anything that works good with the phone? Anything in general? Instead of arguing with so called geniuses (when in all reality, it's just a phone) all day who wanna close the forum because it somehow doesn't meet their "standards". Thanks guys!
