So how many of you out there have had fun with the IR.
Thanks to onetrta making it so easy and so many models and codes on tap I have been to **** smith electronics and turned off all but 3 of their demo TVs and my mate and I laughed so much. One staff guy came over and asked if we need anything and where like nah were all good now and walked out. Hehe.
Iv also turned of the roof mounted wiiU demo 4 TVs in a Kmart with my Mrs, she could barely contain her laughter.
Sure this is child ish but even us adults have inner children LOL
Anyone else got stories ?

Next on my list is to hit and run a Foxtel stand they put a row of TVs showing foxtel pay tv along the front of their kiosks.

I made my mother think her living room TV was broken by turning volume way up randomly and turning it off constantly.

I stream gay porn to bad bars with smart tv's, it's been easy to control dept store tvs with a universal remote for decades. Now the built in apps of smart tv's make this thing bloody awesome...

i went to Cinema all the movie posters were 42" TVs, i turned all 6 TVs off with my HTC they had NO idea what the hell happened
I downloaded Smart Remote for HTC One, is now out of play store I believe..
But with that app I can control almost every device. When I walk into someone's house I can control his TV, radio, dvd player, blueray player, xbox, heather system, almost everything... And the best thing is, I can control the projectors at my school

Working away, spent a week in a hotel recently.
Had a beer in the bar every night.
For some reason the TV kept going off.
No matter what they did, it kept going off.
Bizarre it was. They would turn it on and the damned thing would turn itself off.
Went on for ages ..... :good:

I have control over every pub TV in my town. Great fun when people are watching the football mid day and I stick the porn channels on.

I mess around at the bar every now and then.
One time I went to Buffalo Wild Wings and kept turning off the tv above a booth in the far corner. The waitress got pissed off at the people sitting underneath it thinking they did it. Leave it alone for the rest of the night, and right after I pay my check and leave I pretended I got a phone call, put the phone to my ear and turned it off one more for giggles and walked out in a cool demeanor.

btw, not being able to use 4G to watch Sprint TV kinda sucks. assuming it would make a difference.
Get an OTA (over the air) tuner for your pc and stream it to your device for free using ORB.
Sports can look bad on $1000 televisions when paired with $100/mo TV service...what do you expect with a freakin' phone? haha.
atdhe.net serves me well from time to time. Or you can look into something like myp2pforum and use streamtorrent.

Mine looks fine on 3G, but then again my expectations for live TV streaming on a phone are pretty low.
Im miami sprint tv works perfectely. On my Evo and on my touchpro 2

ya i saw that but later in the episode he was holding a blackberry, i tried to get a look at the other phone but couldn't get a clean look at it

the show is good for 2 things - chicks and more chicks.
It's annoying how apple is able to get their devices and logo plastered all through tv and movies. I'd love to see Google fight back and get some android action in place.

Actually, I am pretty positive he is using an Incredible. The back is too dark to be an N1.
Watching the show right now.
They all are switching through phones, but I noticed Drama, Ari, and even a few other people using the Nexus One.
Then later on Ari uses a blackberry.
If anybody watched 24 almost everybody used HTC's..

Ari has at least two phones on him all the time. The first thing I did when I saw the phone is flip mine over and look at the camera lol.
IDK if that was a nexus, it kinda looks like it, but so do some of the other phones and they aren't a nexus.

I went back and looked on my tivo and it definitely is. You can even see the Google logo on the back of it. I think I got mixed up with the other two phones Ari has. lol
On weeds, most everyone uses an iphone, but I have seen Andy (Mary Louis Parker's brother-in-law on the TV show) use a G1 a couple times.
So my son plays games on my phone..he is 6 and purchased Frogger Pro. It was only $1.99 but is there a way that I am missing for the phone to have to ask for my password before a purchase after a certain time etc? Or should I just get a app lock program for it?
There is a 24 hour refund period for all app purchases if that helps.
Put a lock on your phone and smack him for using it, then get him a Hero or something.

Let him play Frogger sheesh... it's only 1.99 or buy him an XBOX or something so he doesn't have to use your phone to play games. I think i'd be pretty happy if my 6 year old was responsible enough to only download 1 game for a measly 1.99 most kids nowadays would go crazy and rack up hundreds of dollars in no time. I know my nephew did it to his father LOL

That phone is more realistic and it would look sick. It would really suck if you lost the bluetooth attached headset. We can expect phones like this around 2015-2020.

no. nanotech can allow both things to happen. It has 3 different "panels". they can close off the panel with the coffee maker so nothing gets in it, and then the shaver can be on top of the keyboard panel, with a small tank like holder so hair doesn't go down to the keyboard.
So I have my phone hacked for HDMI output. Went to the bar that I DJ and a couple friends came in who are in a band, along with someone who wanted to see their work. They have a video on their website in flash format. Cait who has an iPhone can't use flash and also doesn't have HDMI out. So I hook up my Atrix to the large HDTV and fire up firefox, and had it playing in less than a minute over the bar's WIFI connection.
That's it, just wanted to share, I was quite pleased with it. People say that it's useless, I just wanted to say that I actually found one.

However, I wonder why you fired up Webtop when you could just have used the default Android web browser and HDMI Landscape mirror?
Oh wait... I see what you did there!
I would have done the same just for the sake of showing off my uber-cool modified Webtop on the big screen!

Here's my Atrix Webtop story ....
While deployed over in the Persian Gulf I was delivering an important dignitary to the US consulate in Qatar, when our convoy came under attack. We were in a fire-fight for what seemed to be more than 3 hours; almost out of ammunition and pinned down, it seemed as all bets were off. We ducked into an abandoned hookah lounge to seek shelter and it hit me.... We pushed the large HDTV's up against the windows, I hooked up my Atrix to the lounge's video feed and pumped out porn to the screens .... all of the shooting stopped, and we slipped out the back while the mad crowd was mesmerized. We later dropped 500lb bombs on the area in retaliation for the problem, but I just thought I would share ..... just kidding, I couldn't resist.
(I mean no disrespect to anybody, just having fun)

A guy was speaking of his "amazing iPhone" and all the great things that phone does.... After hearing all he was speaking, i asked, "what else your phone does that any android phone doesn't?" and then i pulled my LapDock out of the bag, everybody who was listening to him came to see it, when i started to show how much android, and the atrix, with webtop, are lot cooler than his phone, i looked at his eyes, and made a trollface.
This guy was my friend, now we live this Android versus iOS fight.

Win. I do this to all my friends with iPhones just not with the lapdock. Mostly with Flash and other things they can't do
