Rabit ears? Its on abc

numerous online options.
btw, not being able to use 4G to watch Sprint TV kinda sucks. assuming it would make a difference.

Get an OTA (over the air) tuner for your pc and stream it to your device for free using ORB.

Sports can look bad on $1000 televisions when paired with $100/mo TV service...what do you expect with a freakin' phone? haha.
atdhe.net serves me well from time to time. Or you can look into something like myp2pforum and use streamtorrent.

Does anyone use MobiTV?

When I try to connect to ESPN and a few other stations, it says it can't play the video, make sure my wifi settings supports RTSP streaming..
I haven't seen that ever.

Slingbox is garbage? I have verizon wireless internet since we have laptops in our house. I read that first the connection isn't good and Verizon will shut you off cause Slingbox uses too much bandwith.

World Cup - live streaming on Sprint TV Widget

Finally - keeping the Sprint TV Widget installed has paid off. The ESPN channel will be broadcasting the World Cup games live. Guess who's going to be unproductive tomorrow at work??

I am running the DC 2.09.01 and the widget is working fine. I am watching the opening ceremony concert right now. This is great since I will be at work and all the live streaming on the internet is blocked at the office.
thanks kfunk!

It's halftime now... better get a little work done while I can
I sure do wish I had an Evo right about now. That soccer ball looks awefully small on the Hero screen.
Other than that, the sprint tv app is working great!
it does work quite well. i watched most of the game on a computer though. the quality of the stream is spotty and most of the time the ball is very hard to see regardless of the size of the screen. it was blurry on the hero and blurry on a 21" widescreen. still, way better than nothing!
good match btw. so glad sa didnt lose.
cheers and thanks again,
ryan
i used it as a radio since all i saw was a giant green blob.
The quality wasn't the greatest, but I was out doing a job yesterday and everyone there was trying to figure out how to watch the game. None of them had Sprint. I pulled it up on my phone and let them watch it for a couple of minutes and then took my phone back. I told them good luck being able to watch it from their phones.

Are they ever going to fix Sprint TV?

I like the app but I would love it if they could fix the audio sync. I'm using a verizon app on my evo and it streams live tv perfectly. Come on sprint, this is the only thing i'm slightly dissatisfied with.
What verizon app?
Their NFL Live app, It streams nfl network perfectly, then I try to watch a sprint channel and it bugs me now. lol
OK, where did you get the app and how did you get it to work on your evo?

I'd like to know this as well. I had the NFL app, but yesterday it started saying that I wasn't a Verizon user, and then closed itself.
They also need to make it able to full-screen on the EVO....
Sprint tv is pretty terrible, I don't even bother with it. Live tv and tv.com are both better but I don't watch them much either.

1. Is the port of VZ's NFL Live a free app?
2. Sprint TV has always been a joke. I recall back when I had a Treo 700p...the audio and video quality is about as good as it is today on my EVO, and that Treo was released in '06, and wasn't Rev-A capable.

Using a Playstation 3 with wireless tether

Ok guys I used search but haven't found a clear cut way to do it. Unfortunately I was laid off this past week. So now it looks like I'll be spending more time on the playstaion as a reward ;-) could someone please post a way to have the playstation 3 recognize the signal of wireless tether or any other tethering apps.
well if your on a odexed version of di18 you can use mobile ap.

Sorry I forgot to note, I'm on 2.2
...then you cannot use infrastructure mode, which the PS3 needs. It would probably be way too laggy for multiplayer anyway, just enjoy something offline.

Well hey, you're right... I've never been able to get Wireless Tether to work in that situation. Good job, rub it in our collective faces, learn to do your own research next time, etc.

You'll still have a high transfer rate... but your ping is going to suck, it will still be laggy.
I have it on good authority that Wireless Tether for Root is getting Infrastructure mode very soon. I emailed the dev asking for that with a feature request and he mentioned he's working on it right now for the SGS series and had asked me if i wanted to test for him.
Hold tight, it's coming soon...

I suggest you look up the difference between latency and bandwidth and then maybe you will understand why your post doesn't really make sense.

You mean to tell me all this time this version of google's wifi tether worked with ps3?
Im gonna try it soon as I get home,i went back from froyo and Syndicate to stock DI18 just to use MobileAP on my newly jailbroken ps3.
Youre better off using another carrier.
On speedtest, sprint was the only one who had latency over 40ms. It was on 174ms ping. Second place was verizon with 40ms ping and surpisingly att and tmo were practically the same results at 34 and 37ms respectively....and tmo had the fastest dl speed at 800 kilobytes/s
I dont like testing in kilobits

Btw my friends share a house together they both have Xbox 360s and can play online at the same time with me or anyone else and they experience no lag what so ever ... they are using a sprint overdrive

I have been using the sprint wifi hotspot app for my ps3 online and xbl ever since the evo dropped. And now epic.
No lag with 4g. 3g doesn't have the thuroughput to handle it for most games.
And I do pay the tether fee
/And that's my 0.2 florin... Another message exported from Epic4g via Tapatalk Pro
There's still no way to utilize the native wired tether right?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
To everyone claiming "no lag"... download speed is one thing, upload speed and ping are two others. There's also a lot you may not notice but your opponents will. If people can see a difference between local wireless and wired, I'm sure they can when it is your phone...
Bonsai's v2.0 supports infrastructure mode, so give that ROM a try.

Just downloaded netflix and it works

http://www.mediafire.com/?k0iwa8c4tvaxr9s
Just downloaded the file onto my external then used the myfiles to open and install. Works like a charm.
Define "works." Works as in you're able to sign-in to your Netflix account, purchase movies, and then watch them? Netflix has always worked on various phones but no one using an APK version has ever been able to connect to the Netflix servers and actually do anything. It'll be great if it does in fact work on the SGS2.

Stream all netflix content just like on iphone and WP7.
I have been waiting for this for years.
Works like a charm...loving my GS2 more and more each day!
Confirmed working.
Well, holy crap. I'm guessing whatever bizarre DRM requirements Netflix is demanding are built in to the SGS2 already in preparation for inclusion of Netflix on carrier-branded phones. More bragging rights
Works for me as well!
Here's a quick video I did of the Netflix app working on the SGS II.

Hi,
Yep, that's me. Still run misticriver.net although as you can imagine, there is no market for iriver now and PMP's are a thing of the past. Loving the SGS II. Also managed to snag a Galaxy Tab 10.1 from Google I/O so looking forward to playing with that a bit.

I did the same, thanks for the tip OP, I was planning on canceling my netflix this month because I couldn't watch it on my phone
