Hi,
Since the update firmware few weeks ago my gps is very slow locking. Sometimes it gets stuck and the only way to get it to work is to reboot the phone.
Is there any fix?
Thanks

Try a data factory reset in settings/backup and restore. If that doesn`t help flash your rom from www.sammobile.com with Odin 3.04. I personaly hate OTA`s, flashing a full rom makes the device function much better.
I havent had any problems with the gps but then again I dont use the gps hardly at all

Hi there, i recently installed Foxhound 3.1 rom and everything was perfectly. it all went well for almost 1 week and all of a suden i lost my baseband (so no service) and my imei.
I have searched the foruns and tried a couple of suggestion like instaling another rom, trying to flash radio twice, etc but it doesnt seem to work since everytime i go up to the rom theres no service.
any idea on solutions? might this be due to the fact that i am 0x1 ? thanks!

Have you tried a factory reset?
You can roll back to 4.1.2 if you want, but you have to use an efs v2 modem firmware. Any modem firmware from EMG4 and after.

This and I wouldn't suggest you to revert back also because 4.3 contains new drivers,so you will lose some good gaming performance.
Also, always wait a little. Every time you install a new firmware, you always have to wait at least 1 week and phone finally will get used to new firmware,so it will become stable.

Of course...
Try a factory reset first.
Backup all of your important stuff from your internal storage > Factory reset > Transfer everything important back.
4.3 is a quite nice firmware for the S3, so a factory reset should clean things up a bit.
Can anyone explain backing up efs and then going back to 4.1.2.
Also if any risk is involved.

There is definitely a risk in downgrading as your efs partition might get corrupt.
I would say factory reset first.
I'm 100% sure 4.3 is better than 4.1 in terms of everything.
as i had heard the new bootloader from 4.3 does not allow to downgrade your device
so how can u now do it without rooting the device

If your phone is laggy after factory reset I would say flash the firmware again via ODIN and then do a factory reset.
Download your firmware from sammobile.com

its not that hard,u will get many threads on xda regarding how to root your phone
basically u will need a software called odin
through odin u will need to flash a recovery like twrp, cwm or philz touch
these recoveries are available on xda in zip files
after the process has been completed your phone will be rooted and at every boot u will see a red exclamation mark inside a triangle on the top left side of screen
just follow the steps properly and u will do it safely
good luck

Yes it does, I downgraded from 4.3 to 4.1.2 just fine with odin.
I will never downgrade as 4.3 has new drivers and some new designs which I like (except settings).
is battery life and performance is still same/improve as 4.1.2 ????

I updated to this firmware a couple of days ago, since this version is March build and whenever I update I always do a factory reset and wipe cache. But I think this must be a system problem :-S
Same problem here, since the update with 4.4.2 ITV firmware in Odin my battery life sucks because of Android System (19% today) and Android OS (12%). I was unable to find any indication on how to fix this anywhere. :crying:
However those two are preventing the phone getting into deep sleep mode!
Any solution guys?

Your drainage is about the apps running in background (bloatware) and the brightness screen. Disable system apps through Settings - More - Application Manager - Tab ALL and disable apps that u installed (You can use Greenify app for it) :highfive:
I was with Kitkat German, and suddenly - when I tried to rotate the screen, he also turns around, but he did not turn around right .. and the camera takes pictures upside down, even when I went back to -4.2.2 same thing and not solved ..
Access Warranty?
UP
It's the kitkat modem that messes up the auto-rotate and some other things, have you tried downgrading the modem if possible? Download a flashable zip for the previous modem and flash it via recovery.
Link please for old modem?
thanks.
I'm currently having the same problem. The old modems are not working.

I installed the old modem and now the screen does not turn around at all.
You need a Kitkat baseband for a Kitkat ROM!
Some folks reported that recalibrating the gyro helps.

I can't recalibrate it. The settings app force closes if I try too.

I would prefer flashing the rom new and to not mess up with different basebands.

Hi,
Since I installed the lollipop update from Samsung on my Note3 my mobile network cancels constantly. In most cases, after I made a call. It only reconnects after a restart. Then for several minutes, even though I'm supposed to be on the net, I can not make calls. The update was installed via Odin. Is there a solution to this problem ??
Best wishes and thank you in advance.

Have you tried a factory reset? That's usually the first step to take when you encounter issues after an update.

No, does not help. I also tried to flash a few roms, but that didn't solve the problem. Mostly the connection gets lost, after a phone call.
Maybe the reason is, that I have flashed the leaked HongKong Lollipop rom via. Odin?
The Problem is, that I get a Error, if I try to flash the new german one. x.x

I also tried to flash the Vodafone Version of Lollipop via. Odin, but because I didn't back up'ed my PIT-File, I had to use one out of this forum.
