If you had an eye on Sammobile.com you might have noticed latest android version leaks for galaxy grand duos and galaxy note 8.0!!!
See following.....
http://www.sammobile.com/2013/07/15/android-4-2-2-for-the-galaxy-note-8-0-wi-fi-leaked/
http://www.sammobile.com/2013/07/08/android-4-2-2-for-the-galaxy-grand-duos-leaked/
So there are total chances that next is our device ie GALAXY TAB 2!!!
Because in order latest is GALAXY note 8.0 after that GALAXY grand and then probably GALAXY TAB 2!!!!!
So if someone gets any news report here!!!!

I have heard that it will come in mid august.
That's good news!
God I hope so. I check these everyday for my p3113, but nothing.
No point in releasing 4.1.2 for the p3113 now, might as well go straight to 4.2.2...IMO at least.
Here... For people who havent seen!

Also ive seen on galaxy s3 they are skipping android 4.2.2 and going straight to android 4.3.3 maybe we get the same?

Ir Blaster ir blaster ir blaster.
Does not having IR Blaster make a difference? Think about it. Relly hard. Will you really USE the IR Blaster?
I had same thoughts but once I realized I dont care about IR blaster I gave it up.
Oh and btw you can use a modded version of cm with IR enabled.

Uhh yes! I use the IR blaster to control everything in my home nearly.
DirecTV
TV
Stereo
It controls it all! The program Peel is fantastic. It's a tv guide & remote control all wrapped into one.
It blows away my Harmony One Universal Remote, hands down!
I use it all the time! It was one of the big selling points when i bought this model.
Show me a link to a modded version of CM with IR functioning. I haven't found anything yet that works with CM.
The people that did CM are using the European model & their models don't have the IR Blaster, therefore it's not functioning.

Thanks! Now lets see if it actually works.
I'm going to guess no since it's going to make my tablet think it's a 3110 instead of the 3113.
If that's the case, it likely won't work.

I've been a fan of him and his great work since his first ROM for the note. Flashed all versions of his ROMS and most were very stable.
He is a very helpful guy and I have huge respect for him for being friendly and nice and patient with everyone.
About his latest work, ParanoidAndroid it's an amazing effort to bring one of the best ideas out there to our device. I'm running it on my phone and I have to say the experience is great. This will just continue in the next versions being worked on and I'm very excited for the future development of this ROM.

The only troubles he mentions are:
Camera options looks cutted when "hide navbar" is enabled
Keyboard popup layout looks a bit weird, this will be fixed soon
Swap camera not working on tab mode, workaround is to press menu key, and then switch camera.
His CM9 ROM had working cameras and hardly any bugs!

Only grouse - why is this not Samsung Official Rom. This Rom is what should have been the original Samsung ROM for NOTE. Our Note begs for this kind of a rom.

Cam works great on my end.
Calls work except fot the mic getting muted when on speakerphone.
USB OTG doesn't work yet but it's in the devs' to do list.
Mass Storage works but you'll need this app to activate it (extract it and install the APK). otherwise you'll be usig MTP which is fine with me.

to sum it up, it removes the limit on what apps can be used in multiview. any app can be added!
That would be amazing
Been using it for a few days....would be awesome for the tablet
It would be nice to have all apps available under multiwindow on the Note 10.1 - I actually bought it under the impression it was. It seems 'unfinished' as is...

Because of the additional screen real estate and by offering both a cascade and dual view option, Samsung's method of implementing multiview on the Note 10.1 is different than the smaller Note's. Non-supported apps can be made to work but it's going to take a huge amount of effort and have to be approached on an app-by-app basis.
Tha apps have to have defined the min/default width+height in dimension.xml and additional edit of AndroidManifest is needed - FOR EVERY SINGLE APP
Stock apps ported from N8000 i was able to run on my N7000....
Example:
Stock Snote on N7000 is prety much the same app - but check Androidmanifest.xml and check LAYOUT/DIMENSIONS.xml !!!!
I can run the N7000s stock flashbar side by side to N8000s multiview and - stock N7000 Snote app is in the flashbar, but not in the miniapptray, as soon as i install N8000 Snote - it appear in Miniapp tray- so i checked every app that runs by me from GTN8000 - and yes, we have to mod every single app.

Do we know whether apps like Watch ON and the sensor extras (motion/eye tracking) will be supported by the google edition phone? My guess is we wont have to wait long to get the Google edition software onto our AT&T versions.

No worries.
I hope the Google Edition does end up having some sort of support for the IR blaster, ect, but I really doubt that will happen. What I'm really looking forward to is better camera support...the camera software on current AOSP roms is woefully inadequate, especially considering how mediocre the camera is in the first place...

Well when 4.2.2 rolls around, or we get 4.3, I hope to build off
of a stock ROM rooted of course, and then slowly add the goodies
in there. HDMI feature is almost always included in those stock builds.
I have a request. Are there any devs out there that can get the LG quick remote app working on AOSP roms? I have found a zip, but it doesnt seem to work in AOSP. I would love if i could have the remote working on CM 10.2!!
This is going to be issue and same reason why there are no 3rd party remote apps, like the g2 camera you will need a lot lg framework to make it work. This is the reason I'm not flashing any more roms. Asop cameras suck you loose alot of g2 features. After years of abuse by asop style roms I'm happy with what lg has given us.

Some one already emailed that dev and asked if they were going to put out there app for the G2. His response was that the remote stuff was built into lg unlike the hTc and Samsung phones. Camera you'll lose everything that is in the lg camera.

looks like 4.4 is going to treat the lg g2 nicely. IR support is native to 4.4 now!!
IR Blasters
Android 4.4 introduces platform support for built-in IR blasters, along with a new API and system service that let you create apps to take advantage them.
Using the new API, you can build apps that let users remotely control nearby TVs, tuners, switches, and other electronic devices. The API lets your app check whether the phone or tablet has an infrared emitter, query it's carrier frequencies, and then send infrared signals.
Because the API is standard across Android devices running Android 4.4 or higher, your app can support the broadest possible range of vendors without writing custom integration code.

I like Quick Remote but I would love to have a one-button macro to start everything?!
Is there any apps out there that support the LG G2 where you can put an icon on the desktop to start a macro?
Something with Tasker support would be great. To start Airplay, my receiver and spotify at the same time!
