I own a Samsung Omnia 7 because i found on eBay for 65 Euros and i really love the good display and the metallic cover.
Why i want Android instead WP7? because i can't find the apps i need: a "fing" like or the battery percentage indicator.
Why i don't get a SII or SIII ? i don't have enought money...

Android will never come to a Windows Phone. There are alternative apps, just look longer than a second. Don't complain here that there are not enough apps. Buy a cheap Android phone, search for apps or just forget about their existence on other platforms, but don't complain here.
Read before making snarky comments...

@NdotGdot -- shot yourself in the foot a bit there -- a quick check on XDA will tell you that several Windows phones have successfully been converted to Android. My own backup phone (for when/if I **** up my SGS2 -- is an HTC HD2 happily running CM10 or JB as the mood takes me and new ROMs appear).
...and in case you think I was just trolling -- I'm actually looking to see if there's an Android port for my brothers Omnia 7.
The guy (Teovenezia) wasn't complaining, just asking (he's obviously unhappy with his WP7 as is my brother).
Be tolerant brother...

Android will never be ported on Omnia 7!
The HD2 is a unique case. So your answer is NO the Omnia 7 will never run a stable, usable version of Android.
Go and buy an Android phone if you want Android, duh.

Some Windows Mobile phones can run Android, but non of the Windows Phone phones can. Windows Mobile is something else than Windows Phone. There won't be Android and that's it. Have fun or try to have fun with your Windows Phone or buy a phone with Android
i don't know you , but i have already loved you ! keep the good work you knight <3

[Q] Android ROM for LG Quantum?

Hi guys,
I just wonder if an Android ROM for LG Quantum will be available soon? The phone comes with Windows Phone 7 and I just can't live with it.
Thank you.
I have not seen or heard of one. I personally do not think it will happen as the lg quantum is not one of the more popular wp7 models. Also there is the fact that you can pretty much buy a phone with android on it with just about any hardware config already.
Miss the good 'ol WM days....
There having trouble porting it to the iphone 4. I wonder how hard it would be to get it on this hardware.
not sure if anyone's even tried, or if anyone that's capable even has a quantum. I sure am though and would be willing to help!
Edit: Well from what i understand WM won't be running on the quantum as the drivers for the compatible hardware aren't cross compatible between wp7 and wm6.5. however i've heard mention of people attempting to run 6.5 executables and such (un-sandboxed apps), if that's possible maybe we can boot using haret or something similar. then again though they would have to take a special interest in getting android running on the device, and it doesnt seem like many have much interest in it....
first step is someone running unsigned apps on the device using some hack or possibly something enabling it in the mango update
hey guys! hope u'd be doing great
im a new bee over here and was about to post a new thread with same discussion this thread having,so i feel better to post here than to create a new thread.
anyway, i have also purchased LG Quantum (c900B) and i am feeling very very restricted like im bound with it, @
i was wondering windows phones can have andriod installed on devices, and i was looking for andriod ROM for this stupid phone
any help ?
or shud i buy another phone :'( ?
please suggest..
Also waiting for Quantum Android
I am eagerly waiting for the LG quantum android ROM as early as possible.
It's doubtful that android will ever be brought over to the LG quantum. It is a low activity device and so far no one has gotten android on a WP7. By the time they get it all figured out or anyone cares enough, the quantum will be old news.
To make this short. Want android? Buy an android phone because you'll be waiting a long time if not forever.
See these posts for similar requests and responses to android on WP7:

Well,
hardware is VERY capable of Android (same as a Sony Xperia Mini Pro or so...) but the bootloader will never allow you to run Android.
Would be like use diesel gasoline on a standard car...

Hi guys,
I am planning to buy a Note 3 (I love big phones) and since my carrier doesn't offer windows phones I was wondering if I could replace the android OS for a WP8.1? I didn't find clear answer to that on the internet and no instructions at all. I wonder where I could find theses...

If you want a Lumia, buy a Lumia. Bizzarre menus? Check. Limited appstore? Check. Difficulties syncing? Check.
Lumias by themselves ain't bad, they got some great cameras (the high-end ones), the low-end Lumias are better performers than the low-end Androids, I have to admit.
It has been done before, the HTC HD2 started as a Windows device, but Android has been ported for it and development is still going.
The Note 3, however, is not a device with too much development for it.
Either sell it and get a Lumia, or get used to it. Even if it's 2015, the Note 3 is one infernally powerful device, trust us on that.

Nokia Lumia 520 help

Hi guys, I'm new here so please bear with me. Also, I know this is mainly Android website, so sorry in advance.
I have Nokia Lumia 520 for 3 years straight, not yet unlocked, modded or anything. And I know I should buy more powerful Android phone, but this phone is dear to my heart and I don't want to replace it. But here is the deal there are no new apps, old ones don't get new updates (lately even Facebook apps don't work, iE is shutting down by itself). So I was thinking that I should "upgrade" it somehow (read a bunch of posts about my Lumia running on latest Android OS, not yet stable, but if it is capable of doing this, it can do more than this ****ty 8.1)?
Any advice is welcome! Tutorial links for unloking, modding and everything else are welcome too!
