Hello everybody!
I have a Galaxy S4 (GT-i9505) which shows "No network service", even though I almost always can access internet. However I can't make calls or send text messages. I just realized it shows IMEI 0/01 when i dial *#06#. The device status says official, but I can't update the phone (currently on android 4.2.2). When I try to do it trough Kies it says that the firmware isn't supported. Does this mean the previous owner has flashed the phone? The problem with calling and texting only seems to appear with some carriers.
I don't want to void the warranty if it isn't already and I have no experience of flashing phones at all, so I'd prefer to fix it without doing that! Does anybody know if it's possible? The phone is unlocked and is first bought from Telenor in Sweden (in case that makes any difference).
This happened for bad unlocking. The solution now is bring it to Samsung Service Center or Service Tecnic Assistant. Good luck :highfive:
Basically, I got a galaxy s5 on EE (a uk network) it was all good and fine until it got stolen, whoever took it knew what they were doing as I couldn't track it or look at any location history, they didn't get access to any of my stuff though thanks to my fingerprint but i'll get to the point.
my bank replaced it under home insurance (i wish they didn't) because they gave me a refurbished virgin mobile s5 and i'm with EE. so whenever I reset it on kies it installs all this virgin **** and different APN settings and so on. This has also now stopped me from getting any updates like lollipop, friends that have s5s all have it and i'm stuck on crappy kitkat with disgusting touchwiz. (i came from a nexus 5)
I went on sammobile.com and found an EE firmware (i tried putting a link in but it won't let me)
I tried flashing it and it gets to the last step "HIDDEN.img" and it fails. so from here i'm forced to reset it via kies and it puts all the virgin crap on it. is this because of the virgin csc? and is there any way i can make my phone a completely unlocked phone as if i brought it from samsung or something?
thanks.
Hello everybody
Recently received a Samsung Galaxy S5 originally from Verizon. The Phone works really well Outstanding performance ! but it has no service. Explanatio: I live in Cuba here the cellular operator is Cubacell operates on GSM. The phone finds the signal and notifies in "avaliable networks" tha Cubacel is Available... But fails registering on the network, and i don't know what to do... many technicians already "diagnose" the phone and most of them says is a problem qith QCN file, but what really worries me most is that Board IMEI is not the same the cell shows on *#06# .. so i found all these really tricky since i'm new in Android cause my previous phone was an HTC Windows Phone 8x that suddenly died and revived with no service either (a strange case for other post i hope) The S5 is SiM unlocked everybody says, besides every verizon phone is gsm unlocked by default don't they? The dark story of it is that the phone was previously unlocked for use in another company in the US and was working there perfectly. Right now the phone is running Lollipop, and no problems with WiFi restriction for Cuba so far... Registered on Samsung, on chat they send me to verizon saying phone is locked but i don't think thats the real problem...
So i'm wondering if anybody could help .... since in my country everything is so hard to get ja! and the acces to Octoplus Box or Z3X is expensive.. very...

Thanks a million in advance and greetings from Cuba...
Hi guys
Hope you are well. I need some help with a Galaxy S4 i9500, I flashed Ale's Note port. The phone worked fine for about 2 months. When suddenly the phone just died (Cell Signal / Mobile Data). It just says " Emergency Calls Only".
It defenitley sees the sim as the Telkom (Provider) Sim Tools appear, and it also picks up networks manually. But it does not want to connect to any of the local networks
I took it to a cellphone repair guy, he checked out the SIM reader etc, and said it was fine, but he said it has to be a software issue, but wants to charge a hefty amount to repair it.
I have since used ODIN to flash I9500XXUHOAA_I9500ODDHOA2_INU rebooted the device, WIFI everything works, but still no phone?
Is there something i can do to try and fix it? Maybe another radio version or something? Or is the phone done?
Hi All
I'm at my wits end with this Samsung S8 phone, Bought a 2nd hand S8, was working fine, but I noticed the internal storage was only showing 9.63GB
Had a look on here and the solution was to stock flash the phone. I did that, all fine, storage was back to normal....BUT since then I can't make or receive any calls.
I get the error "phone not allowed" and it won't connect to ANY mobile network.
I've tried loads of different suggestions
Sim is OK in another phone
Re Flashed (numerous times)
Andriod 7 and 8
Sim and Phone OK with three network
But still have the issue....
Can anyone help me? or push me in the right direction?
Cheers
Tommy
You probably tried this, but try booting into safe mode. If it works then there is a software problem. If the problems persist in safe mode you probably gotta contact Samsung.
Are you sure the phone is unlocked?

Is the phone blacklisted? if it is blacklisted then it will not connect to service. Your SIM wil work perfect in any other phone.
Hate to say this but it does sound like your phone has been blacklisted.
You can check with one of the online IMEI blacklists.
If your phone shows Phone not allowed and a code like MM#6, it usually is an indication that it was blacklisted.
Check your phone's IMEI on a blacklist checker like http://imeipro.info/
The previous user most likely had the firmware and baseband messed around with and once you flashed stock it reverted to true state, it's highly advised to get back in contact with the person, where was the phone bought? A shop? Online?

Yeah tried that , still the same
If one is in possesion of a S8 that says "Phone not allowed", and the phone is blacklisted, is there any way of fixing that?
I have the same issue here..
I bought an S8 from Manchester last summer, and I started using it last week, (because my other phone worked longer than expected) and after I gave the phone the Network key that the previous user wrote down for me, then that message appeared.
So im stuck with this almost completely new brick aswell...
Any options at all?

The only real solution here is to either go abroad and sell the phone, or sell it to someone who is going abroad. The phone will work outside of the UK.
It does sound as your phones imei Nr is blocked in UK.. Probably the person who sold you the phone, stole it somewhere.
I have the same problem on my Samsung S7 now in Brazil.
In Canada, on Canadian carriers, everything is fine, and if I put the Canadian SIM in there everything is fine. But the minute I plug in Brazilian SIM card, boom, Phone Not Allowed message comes up and it won't connect to any of the Brazilian networks. Brand new SIM, works just fine on another LG phone (and any other phone I tried).
The phone is unlocked, I even checked with a few pieces of software and there is no network lock on it either.
I've got the master & network unlock codes from Samsung, but have no way of inputting them as no prompts for those come up when I insert the Brazilian SIM.
I checked the IMEI, it is definitely clean and not blacklisted.
Heck, I even rooted the phone to see if that would help, and still nothing.
Any idea what else to try or what else might be causing this goddamn message to pop up?!
I solved my S8.
Blacklisted on all uk networks except Three network.
Works perfect.
