My previously rooted RAZR m had an issue where the wifi wouldn't turn on. No error, just an endless "Turning on wifi" under settings. Same with bluetooth. I contacted Motorola and I got denied due to my provisioned status, of course. So I went to Verizon for the warranty and they sent me the replacement. Since then I flashed the phone after removing root, clearing cache, everything. Wifi and blue tooth still not functional. Will Verizon be able to tell if I was previously rooted and bill me the $500+, or just be oblivious. P. S. This issue occurred while on YouTube and charging. The wifi icon turned white and data was not being sent. I rebooted the phone and the wifi didn't work at all.

hi guys, for the last day or so I have been having some issues with my atrix. It started with not being able to get connected to some of my bluetooth devices and now I seem to not be able to turn on Wifi or Bluetooth at all. Bluetooh just pauses for a second and then doesn't turn on while Wifi actually says "Error" I am unable to modify any settings under wifi.
I am running the latest Gingerblur, I have rebooted several times, uninstalled any apps that manage Wifi or bluetooth and even tried pulling the battery. Any advice?
Ugh Update: I just factory restored it and still getting errors.
Currently in the process of downloading the SBF and re-flashing. I will update this thread with the results for the next guy that has this issue!
Downloaded the 1.5x sbf flashed it, same error... Ps At&T Tech support clearly don't know much about anything...
Problem appears to be hardware related I have been sent to motorola for troubleshooting. UGH.
Thanks
I am having the same issue as well IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE PLZ HELP!!!!
I am also having this same problem with my Atrix that I have only had for about 4-6 months now. Bluetooth pauses, and Wifi says "Error" underneath it. This happened shortly after AT&T/Motorola provided the 2.3.4 Update for my phone. I have unlocked/rooted/and ROM'd with CM7 and still continue with the same issue. I would really appreciate any help that we could get to resolve this issue.
I too, have this issue. I tried all sorts of radio's and switched kernels and roms and wifi and bluetooth will not work on any of them.... I initially thought the problem happened right after I switched to CM7, but it's possible I just hadn't noticed the issue before (since I really haven't used wifi in over a month). And then while testing the power controls in the new notification drawer I noticed wifi and bluetooth didn't appear to be responding.

Faulty hardware.
I had a problem with a new stock Motorola Defy+ randomly rebooting with data enabled over mobile network; if it was disabled, then it would work fine. I sent it back under warranty, and got it replaced. I first identified the problem running WhiteRabbit mod, but the phone would go deaf (RF wise) after a little while when accessing data over 3G; data over 2G worked fine. Then I reverted to stock Motorola and got the random reboots, confirming hardware fault.
If you search the web, you can find plenty of complaints about brand new handsets which are faulty.
Are you running stock Motorola software, or have you installed one of the mods?
Stock Motorola
Get a replacement. I had the same issue, initially, whenever a call was placed and then later when a few minutes of data connectivity had passed.
Today, all of a sudden, my unbranded Priv showed up a notification saying something like "Your Wifi has been disabled to prvent the device overheating"..... I immediately rebooted the phone.
Since then, cellular data has stopped working. The phone connects fine on Wifi, but if I disable wifi, there is no connectivity. Have booted to Safe Mode to see if that helps, but no joy. The phone refuses to access the internet. I put a friend's SIM in the Priv and still no connectivity.
Any ideas?.
Regards.

What did you do to make it that hot?
I would try out a factory reset.

I did absolutely nothing... The phone was in its dock on my dash in the car, the day wasn't terribly hot... And this message flashed out of the blue. In the 6 yrs or so since I've had Android phones, including ones with known over hearing issues, I've never seen or heard of something like this...
In any case, as it turns out, it wasn't just WiFi that had been disabled, the anti overheat protection had also disabled cellular data... After coming close to resetting the phone to factory default... Requesting an RMA from newegg (which i did in panic as NewEgg has some fairly restrictive return/refund policies around cellphones... So, credit to them, they actually emailed me a RMA authorization and ship ng lable within 5 minutes).. I looked a bit harder and found the cellular data enable/disable button under Data Usage.... It had moved over to Disabled!!!.. Problem solved.
However, setting aside the fact that i was looking for a solution to a non existent problem, I'm extremely disappointed with BlackBerry...the Priv is supposed to be theu ir last ditch attempt at survival, yet support is atrocious... Their website points you to the carrier for support for branded handsets, and quite quiet on others... One wouldve thought they'd be going out of their way to ensure the Priv is a success.
I was having problem with bluetooth and wifi turning off on a recent replacement phone from asurion and being unable to get it back on, got wifi fixed and then bluetooth would not turn on so then sent me a second replacement.
Was working fine for a month or so and started getting some similar symptoms this morning...
Wifi will not turn on. Bluetooth will not turn on. They simply toggle over stay gray and then go back. When I look at notification setting shortcut bar wifi shows as light green after initial boot then goes to disabled after I try to toggle.
I just did a factory reset... thoughts/ideas? Could this be hardware and is this common?
Thanks in advance.
IMO my money would be on Asurion buying refurb phones from the carriers and sending those out as replacements.
Casual testing won't weed out the lemons with come-and-go hardware problems.
Stuff comes in as a lemon, gets "tested" with the "seems OK" result, and goes back out as a "refurb" lemon.
Seems like as time marches on for a particular phone model, the ratio of lemon refurbs to decent refurbs probably would only get larger.
I have the same issue. But I've had my note 3 for a couple of years now. It's the same one I've had and running the same ROM for the last year or so. I'm running biggins 4.4.2. Everything ran great up until about a month or so ago and now the WiFi won't hardly connect and when it does it constantly disconects. And it keeps randomly rebooting also. It's really aggravating.

Hello,
So I recently had my phone sent to repair for the Pink line issue. I activated an old htc one while I waited for my s7 edge to get back. Once it got back I activated the edge again, and now whenever I turn on wifi calling I am getting enablment error? "we are unable to process your request at this time, please power cycle the device and try again" Anyone have this happen? If so how did you fix it? Have tried wiping, updating prl/profile. reverting from beta to stock, nothing seems to work.

Same here. I deactivated my S7 Edge and went back to my Nexus 6. Then I went back to my Edge and WiFi calling has not worked since. I actually opened a ticket with Sprint and later talked to 2 different engineers......that was almost a year ago, many factory resets and ##72786# as well. I still have the entitlement errors.....it's pretty sweet lol. Please let me know if you figure it out.
