So suddenly phone died, tried to restart it but its stuck at the loop of Paranoid Android. Battery was still in 40%. Tried to go recovery mode, hold volume down + power button but all it does is go back to the google logo and loop again to the paranoid android and get stuck again.
Tried plugging it to mac, android file transfer says " try reconnecting or restarting your device."
Im on Franco and paranoid.
what to do?
PLEASE HELP.
tried reflashing a recovery via fastboot(while in the bootloader)?

Not sure if this will work for you, but its worth a try. Attempt holding the power button while its booting up to allow it to turn off (do not let it go when the screen turns black). Then hold volume down and quickly release and re-hold the power button.

The bootloader is the fastboot screen
There you should be able to use ./flash-all.bat (extracted from the stock rom)

Hi
Im running SlimBean 2.7 on my device and normally in companion with francos kernel. Earlier this evening I tried another kernel, faux Mainline Edition Max @ 1.4 GHz Quad, GPU @ 512 MHz. The installation went fine and the deviced booted up as it should. I played some Batman for about 30 minutes and had no issues whatsoever.
A few minutes later (after I was done playing) the device freezes. I can still turn on and off the display but it wont react on anything else. So I hard rebooted the device pressing the power button for 7 seconds. When im all booted up I decide to reboot into recovery to revert back to francos kernel and this is when all the spookiness starts.
When I try to reboot (or shutdown) it get stuck at "Device is rebooting/shutting down...", when I try to boot in to recovery with the volume keys pressed down the bootloader starts, but when I choose recovery the device freeze at the Google logo. I then read somewhere to try the same thing with the USB-cable plugged in to the computer, so I tried that. Sadly the bootloader only starts up, but the device won't react to neither pressing the volume keys noir the power button.
Also have tried to reboot in to recovery using the menu in ROM Manager and also in francos kernel downloader app, but same thing happends here, it get stuck while trying to reboot.
Any suggestions on what I should do?
I had same issue and had to finally get adb to get into recovery once in recovery I restored back up and was good from there. It was very weird though.
Adb did the trick, thanks!

Hi guys. My nexus 4 is rooted. Everything was perfect. I just wanted to do a fresh start. I did factory reset. Then it rebooted. Came to language selection. I selected English and than suddenly screen was black and nothing happened. I restarted again and it stuck on nexus logo. I did downloaded root toolkit 1.63 and it found my model and its selected 4.2.2 automatically. Then it downloaded stock image file and said my device adb error saying need to select USB debugging mode. I can't cause its stuck. Now about the rom it was liquidsmooth rom. Please help me how to go back to stock android 4.2.2. Thanks.

sorry, but for the stock img flash isn't needed just the bootloader mod? The deb mod is useless for this!
Throw it in the trash.
dont use a toolkit, they can create more issues than they are worth. boot into the bootloader, then flash the stock image via fastboot. thats all.
Thanks a lot. I sold it. My bad. Dn wanna use custom rom again.

Hi, everyone!
Yesterday I wanted to update my rooted Nexus (2012, Wifi) to 4.3 Android. So I tried a "Back to stock" using Nexus Root Toolkit. After that the Nexus is stuck in fastboot mode, if I turn it on I see the Google logo, but green square with the START appears and the only option that works (other that POWER OFF) is Restart bootloader.
I tried many of the methods (hard reset, fastbooting an img using commands) I found but nothing seems to work, it's just stuck
Cheers
Try with you nexus toolkit to unlock first. This worked for me.
Need help same problem!

I was going to flash stock and unroot N7 wifi so i can uppdate to 4.3

tried restore stock kernel and waited 10 min.. but only sais booting downloaded image
Tried unlock (Device where already unlocked) and loc
EDIT: I got it fixed... i reflashed same build 4,2 and it did work

hi i need help on this, i tried to flash android 4.4 krt16s on my nexus 7 2nd gen using the nexus root toolkit. but unfortunately the flashing failed and now i'm stuck on the fastboot mode. i tried to i tried to press the start (coz its the only option enabled for me) but its stuck on the google screen, now its not booting up, i tried to turn it off and turn it on again but its still stuck on the google screen. please help me get it back to normal working condition :crying:
Stuck in fastboot ot fail the ota or bootloop all can be fixed by downloading google stock nexus image and letting toolkit flash it. Ull be going back to stock without root but then u have a working device and a solid bass then start your tinkering again.
I do soft brick just for fun and fix it later so i know how bad things can get.

I was trying to root my Galaxy Note 3, KitKat, SM-N900T with Odin 3.9. Everything went fine and I got the PASS! message. I disconnect the phone and I expected the automatic booting. That never happened. The screen started to flash the RECOVERING ROOTING (blue), RECOVERING IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING (red) and SET WARRANTY BIT : RECOVERY(yellow). Nothing that I did after that worked to get rid of those messages. I wonder if my new phone is bricked now or if I have a chance of recover it. Taking the battery out and putting in again plus holding all the buttons doesn't stop the messages from flashing. Please help!

Thank you for the suggestion but no idea how to do it with a phone stuck in the booting screen. Any help on how to get rid of it? Once that is done then I can proceed with your steps.
Take the battery out, put back in (dont turn back on)and hold volume up, home and power button. It'll take you into download mode.
Then flash your stock ROM via Odin

It just keeps bootlooping you mean?
Keep trying to get into download mode, might be that you're catching the power button first and powering the phone back on.
Can you get into recovery ? Volume down and power/home button.
You should be able to get to one of them at least

Try this.
Remove and put battery back in, don't power on.
Hold Vol Down + Power + Home Button all at the same time until the warning message comes up then let go of the buttons. Finally press Vol Up only and you'll be in download mode. Connect phone to usb.
Flash this CF Auto root courtesy of Chainfire thru odin. Not sure if CF updated it for 4.4 but one poster said it worked for him on his Tmo.
Optionally flash a custom recovery cause you will have a stock recovery after rooting.

however, against all judgement I tried it with the sm9005 instead of the sm900t file and it passed into the orange pirate root guy, however it gets stuck at the boot logo, do you guys have any Idea what could be wrong?

HI there, guys! I just read the whole thread and maybe you can help me also! I'm facing a less critical, but similar problem.
I use Omega ROM (Android 4.3 yet) and just after a reboot my device is stuck at boot animation forever. The only thing I did before rebooting was freeze S Finder using Titanium Backup (after it was enabled again because Samsung updated it a few days ago) and move some apps to SD Card using Clean Master.
The critical part is that I can't enter Recovery Mode to try to solve wiping caches because my Reactivation Lock feature is enabled, so I can't access it.
Is there anything I can do except from flashing stock ROM over Omega itself? I can't lose my files on internal storage. There are pretty important ones! =/

My Nexus 10 has been acting up recently...the battery seemed to be draining A LOT quicker then it normally would.....the tablet would just shutdown in the middle of doing something. Fast forward a week or two, now when I turn it on it vibrates for a second, shows the "GOOGLE" logo and starts the boot animation for 4.4, vibrates and repeats the same. I manually formatted and flashed 4.4 (fastboot flash boot ...etc...) and still am getting the same issues...Any suggestions on what to try next?
Flash the newest factory image automatically via fastboot.

Just did that to no avail....same issue as before...Anything else to try?
It almost seems like it is not charging but I would assume I could still get it to boot up while connected to the charger....correct?
Update....I flashed CWM and sideloaded gapps and a ROM...and tried that...still the result..."GOOGLE" logo comes up and then a vibration...then it goes back to "charging" (the white battery with the lightning bolt through it)

Sounds like it may be a hardware issue, since flashing the factory image didn't even help. I would say trying flashing the factory image using the flash-all method, and wiping data/factory reset right after. Couldn't hurt.

You said you installed cwm -- I assume you mean the recovery rom... If I'm wrong ignore the rest.
I too have had this issue and it was not hardware. To fix this I booted into cwm (the recovery rom I use on my N10) and reinstalled a stock factory boot rom. Just for those that don't know to boot into the recovery rom, power off the tablet, then press and hold the power, volume up AND volume down simultaneously --- finally, use the volume button to scroll to the recovery menu.

The problem is that my tablet will reboot constantly and it shows my battery being fully drained even after charging it overnight. I'm able to force flash stock images to my tablet and this has not fixed the issue. So at the moment my nexus 10 is an expensive paperweight.
