Gyro or accelerometer - RAZR HD General

Hi !
I can't find an answer to my question:
The RAZR HD is it equipped with a gyro or accelerometer?
Some people say yes, others do not ...

This is not a technical answer but I heard it had a gyro.

Both of them..
Try GunCraft, from the PlayStore, it's free and you can test the Gyroscope..

Both

Sensors
Both!
Check the link
http://www.intomobile.com/phones/motorola/droid-razr-hd
its under SENSORS

Indeed, thanks

fcc docs of u8800

haveany took a look at fcc oc for u8800 as there is internal photos..its mentioned u8u8800-51 but its exactly u8800.. have a nice look
https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas...e=N&application_id=191574&fcc_id='QISU8800-51
Thanks
From the internal photo is possible to see that main microphone haven´t a good orientation.
The hole is down while the microphone sensitive side is front oriented, and while the secondary microphone nearby camera have a ¨cap guide¨ the main microphone no.
This explain the low sensitivity problem that many people have noticed.
Many many thanks for the link.

It has dual mic but i think its used for noise cancellation rather than stereo recoding.. nevertheless you can test it and post your findings but still you need to proper direct the mics and voice source to be in between.. sorry I'm not a sound engineer.

SUPER SIZING YOUR TEXT WON'T MAKE PEOPLE HELP YOU FASTER. As far as your problem goes, it's in the wrong section, and this has been addressed before. Xda has a search button for many reasons. Use it.
You might want to try to post your question here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1252. It will help if you post some more information (running a custom rom/using a custom kernel).

Sony IMX214 Cam and UMI Zero

Hi Community,
i am really new to smartphone hardware and dont have much knowledge, so sorry if my question is a bit stupid ^^
I am owning an UMI Zero with the Sony IMX214 Exmor 13 MP Camera Sensor. With the original Software this sensor produces so much noise, the pictures really aren`t good.
So i was locking for other devices ( Phone´s / Dashcams ) with exactly the same Sensor. For me it seems like that other devices handle this sensor way better than my Phone.
Also this Sensor should not be bad i`ve read. So i wonder if there is any way to tweak my cam ? I installed a Custom Rom on my Umi and it really feels like pictures are looking much better now.
Also i`ve read ssenssor specifications and saw that this sensor is able to record 4k in 30 fps. Is it possible to unlock this features somehow? Is anyone willed to help / explain me why or why not? Is it more a hardware thing like Digital Analog Conveerters which are used or OP amps which are used in hadrware? Or is there a way
that Software can improve this really much ? Maybe there is a possibility to install another camera driver to my Phone?
PS: I am really sorry if this is the wrong section ! I am pretty new to this forum, if anything is wrong pls tell me !
Thank you very much !
Greetings,
Dom

Missing gestures

I've looked through the chop chop motion thread, but that didn't really cover any other gestures.
The official page for the gestures of the moto x style (pure) is here: https://motorola-global-portal.cust...prod_answer_detail/a_id/106941/p/30,6720,9541
It covers 4 gestures:
Wave to Silence
Twist for Quick Capture
Approach for Moto Display
Chop twice for flashlight
My European (Dutch) version of the Moto X Play only has one gestures in the Motion App: Twist for Camera app. The other gestures aren't listed. The chopchop motion apparently has been taken out for various reasons and the other thread had quite a discussion going about getting that back. I haven't seen anything about the 'Wave for silence' or 'Approach for display'.
Now I guess a lack of gyroscope would explain the initial removal of the Chopping, but not so much the wave/approach gesture. That should still be possible, assuming the phone has IR/Motion sensors on the front?
Some more details:
https://forums.motorola.com/posts/a58bae5067
Apparently I`m not the first to miss these features. Installed this thingy to at least get some proximity stuff going, works well.

Hi. I contacted support and they advised this is not built into the Moto X Play, but they gave me this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.omd.autoscreenon&hl=en and I can confirm it works nicely. Change the setting for sensors to proximity and it works well.

Another thread mentions that there are indeed no IR sensors, and that the 'Wave to silence' gesture will not work (https://forums.motorola.com/posts/968b4c25dd). Bummer.
Please read up before posting new threads
I thought I did, obviously in hindsight there's always more to find. Can't hurt to have the information on here anyway.

Using VR Headset with the P8 Lite

So i got this 10$ VR Headset (similar to google cardboard) to use with my phone for some entry level VR experience. I have also enabled the virtual gyroscope on the device. However, the experience is very shaky. Can i do anything to improve the accuracy of the gyroscope? Thanks in advance.
P.S : I know 720p display is not good for VR but i have no problem regarding the resolution. That shaky experience makes me dizzy very quick (about 10 minutes) and i can barely select anything by gazing.

What do you expect from virtual gyro

Not much but again that is not what i am asking here. I know it is a virtual gyroscope, however some searching showed that many phones with virtual gyrscope get flashable zips to improve the stability (many motorolas being in that list). I know that virtual gyroscope gets as precise as virtual can be, but i asked if i was missing anything regarding that. Thanks for answering and sorry for the late reply, was on vacation.
