fcc docs of u8800 - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

haveany took a look at fcc oc for u8800 as there is internal photos..its mentioned u8u8800-51 but its exactly u8800.. have a nice look
https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas...e=N&application_id=191574&fcc_id='QISU8800-51

Thanks
From the internal photo is possible to see that main microphone haven´t a good orientation.
The hole is down while the microphone sensitive side is front oriented, and while the secondary microphone nearby camera have a ¨cap guide¨ the main microphone no.
This explain the low sensitivity problem that many people have noticed.
Many many thanks for the link.

how u found these docs? how to find for other phone as well?

does this mean that ideos can record stereo sound?

It has dual mic but i think its used for noise cancellation rather than stereo recoding.. nevertheless you can test it and post your findings but still you need to proper direct the mics and voice source to be in between.. sorry I'm not a sound engineer.

It's not just you. I think it's a problem for everybody. Except most people don't use the video recorder.
I would assume that the code just needs to be changed so the mic picks up the sound better since it works great for phone calls, but I don't think it's high/normal priority for the devs that are working hard here.
Meltus sound fixes seems to help quite a bit.

lol thanks, and no its prob not priority..they're more concerned with making copy roms of other devices, rather than overall making a flawless device
wow. if its such a big deal to you that the devs dont drop their projects and bow before your wishes, perhaps you oughtta find a new set of forums to troll.
or hey, since everyone elses roms suck so bad, perhaps you should make your own and blow our minds!
You know.. so far nothing has beat my Nokia S60 phones when it came to nighttime shots and video capture of storms.. always had a good pickup.
G1 may have a higher grade MP.. but shutter sucks. As for mic input, while the gain maybe increased, like a Motorola can with a seem edit. (Afterall the volume mods are out already) It would also cause people to hear you much louder if not distorted. Was a issue on motorolas too where it doesnt come through clear. My suggestion would be to use a headset with a good pickup mic if you plan to do videos with sound and need it to be clearer.

[Q] Audio boost

Are there any apps out there that can boost the headphone output of the SGS II without rooting, on a stock rom? My problem is that I use my SGS II as a music player in my car, and the output is REALLY low for that.
Could try this,

Waht about mic boost?? Everyone says they can hear me very poorly...
Mic boost isn't possible I think. Besides I don't think there is any problem with the Mic, some people said me also that they can't hear me well but then I tried with my own landline and there was no problem whatsoever. The Mic was clear, crisp and loud.

Ha! You made me laugh
I have tested mic from Xperia SP many times. For speak recordings its ok, but for music? It's... maybe not disaster, but not good. I dont know exactly what you mean by "really good" and "good bass", but for me? With internal mics (as I know SP has two microphones) its quite bad. I haven't tested it yet with headset, but better quality I get on my old LG GT540. Low tones are very rattling (I dont know exactly if that's right word, I'm from Poland too ) First I though thats speakers fault, but same issue on TV and Home Cinema Its impossible to watch movies recorded with XP where was loud music (especially with a lot of low tones) on sth else than Xperia herself.

Smaller and compact external mic.... Better... just by a camera. You can pay for good compact mic more than a mid-end camera.

i found the Edutige EIM 001, is similar to the edutige fro Go Pro & Go Pro 2, it cost around 20 euros, it sound really good, i think i'm gonna buy it, check out videos online.
It has signal noise ratio of 60db, really good for a compact mic...

What a shame! you are totally corrrect, my Z2 is exactly the same, I took some amazingly clear video in a club the other night, the camera captured the scene in low light so well shockingly good video BUT when I listened the next day the sound is totally distorted ruining the videos!
I downloaded a Sound meter app on my Z2 and the wifes Galaxy S5, side by side they both give completely different DB reading, The sony is WAY too high! if you make a sound the sound meter jumps right up, where are the Galazy S5 is more stable. Unfortunately i cant find any setting in the phone to change the microphone sensitivity. so the problem is a serious problem that we are stuck with! SUCKS!!
SONY really need to fix this with an update!
Agree but look at this video
KyleSforza said:

Yes you are right this add on microphone is a good option for planned recordings! But what if you are just out and about with just your phone, and want to video something, live singing, a party, disco. The sony Z2 can take awesome video but if its a loud environment or with a lot of BASS the sound will come through on the video completely distorted and impossible to listen. Sony need to do an update ASAP.
Here is a sample of the distorted audio. (shame, the video quality came out really nice the DJ was Plastic Funk live in Pattaya Thailand)
*** WTF, I cant post the youtube video showing the distorted audio because I am new to this forum. sucks! if you want to see it just search youtube for "Distorted Sony experia z2 microphone"

Doomkernel allows to lower mic gain, that is why your recordings are ... over saturated.

Video sound quality - pretty bad

Hi all
Did not come across any threads about this yet, surprisingly!
I was recording video out in a nightclub, and was very disappointed to find that the music sounded horrible. Never had such problem on my HTC one when recording at concerts or clubs.
Here is the link of the video, I uploaded on youTube
http://youtu.be/SMpa7rumrHY
Otherwise, the OnePlus has been awesome so far!
Trance family, you listen to Markus Schulz? Love trance! Sucks about the sound, you on stock app?
Sound quality in general when it comes to recording nightclubs/gigs/concerts are pretty bad with the bass etc etc.
Not to mention "Turn It Up" is a song that involves a lot of bass and drops.
Try it in a closed atmosphere like at home and test the quality of the sound.
Ensure audio codec is AAC as well.

haha yeh man love markus Schulz! one of my fav trance DJs
yeh stock camera app, running 33R stock and Franco 20 kernel.
I noticed this as well. I really doesn't take a lot to distort the audio with OPO (and surprisingly when I had my Samsung Note 2 and ran a CM based rom I had this problem as well, using stock samsung camera / rom not a problem).
Not sure if this is phone related or just the camera app/rom combo.
I do have a sub in my car but I have recorded clearly with my old Note 2 but OPO it distorts like a mofo. It's quite embarrassing.

Damm thats a bad mic...it sounds horrible
I wanted to make the switch from the m7 too,but i do record sometimes at concerts and clubs...And the htc m7 does this perfect.
So this is a no go for me this oneplus one,A pitty):
The early m7s had dual membrane mics specifically for recording in very loud concert environments. Some supply issue came up with the manufacturer and they had to stop supplying to htc because of nokia.

Yep I remember that when the M7 came out, it was a bit of a fuss!
Ah familiar issue.
Went to a party last week and recorded some videos, as soon as the bass drops you only hear crackling noises on the video.
Friend recorded with his iphone and the recorded audio sounded a LOT better.
I also tried to cover the microphone to see if that helped but it made no difference.
Known Bug
That's a known issue.
Have a look at the Cyanogenmod JIRA Ticket No. BACON-64
If you are registered there, please give it a vote, so it will soon be fixed.
has anybody found a fix for this? will changing to a different rom solve the problem? cyanogen just dont wanna fix this problem. its been a reported bug for ages now. even before the OPO.
I m also facing the same problem, please let us know if anyone find a fix
Sent from my A0001 using XDA Free mobile app
This problem can be fixed with the Boeffla-Kernel for OPO, but they need the technical documentaion of the "WDC9320" audio codec.

Does somebody know whether it for it already a solution has given?
Found this on the OP forums
Code:
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/audio-clipping-in-loud-environments.108129/
:
"So ive tried heaps of things to try and fix this bug, one thing that may have worked is downloading this free app from the app store
Code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grace.microphone&hl=en
and setting mic gain to 0. i have done this and the audio quality has increased 100% and is comparable with the iphone."
Most likely a ****ty mic on the oneplus, nothing to do with the software.
HTC one uses unlicensed mic from Nokia, which is far superior.
Bump
Does anyone know whether this bug is present in Oxygen OS or not?
