Days of the week show up as numbers. Meaning 1 for Sunday 2 for Tuesday etc.. Then the month displays as 1 for January 2 for Feb. Etc.... Its stock tried clearing data on clock app. Just wanting to avoid a factory reset. Any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried changing the date format in setting. Found one other person with the same issue. http://www.nexus7nexus10.com/forum/...k-show-up-numbers-lock-screen-clock-date.html
Any help would be appreciated.
Finally had to factory data reset. Installed cm now..

Hi all,
I just had my DX replaced this week, been having issues with it resetting periodically on its own. It happened again yesterday with the new phone. This issue has been going on since last August when I bought the first phone. New phone has been rock-solid otherwise.
It seems to happen more frequently when GPS is in use. Yesterday's reset happened right after I clicked on the GPS and went into Navigator.
It hung for some length of time, and then reset. I'm assuming the Android OS detected a deadlock condition and did an automatic reset.
Has anyone experienced this before? At this point, I'm wondering if it's related to data services in a race condition with each other when on 3G only, and the system deadlocks at the driver level. Total guess though.
Thanks,
Mike
I'd say try a factory reset or SBF. If that doesn't fix the problem, I'd say you need another replacement.

My phone just rebooted for no apparent reason;
I am rooted with the original stocked rom.
Is there a way that I can find out what happened (without having to connect to the pc)... is there some sort of logfile that is being stored? special application to help troubleshoot?
thank you for your time

Best thing to do is wipe clean and start over. Don't download anything and use the phone as is for a day. If it still does random rebooting then its the phone.
If not then add apps once a day until it happens...

My phone only reboots randomly when I have no data service at all. Once I'm back in an area with data service it works great. I can turn off mobile data when I'm in one of those areas and it won't reboot for days. Turn it on and pretty quickly it starts rebooting again, sometimes every couple of minutes.
My girlfriends EVO does the same thing at the same time/locations, hers is a couple months old and unrooted/stock. Mine was bought on launch day and rooted/custom ROM.
Hello guys and gals
I'm trying to fix my issue and while doing some search I haven't found a fix or what's causing this issue.
Phone is rooted running stock rom and kernel
Manually updated to 4.2.2
After 24 hours on 4.2.2 I came home and turned on wifi like usual, placed the phone on the orb charger and noticed 2 notice on the screen.
Both of them said "Restricted access changed" one for calls and the other for data.
I cleared them and tried to make a phone all and a notice appeared on the dialer screen and the call didn't get thru. I asked my wife to call my phone and it send the call to vm.
Called Tmobile to see if it was something on their end and they said no and asked me to power cycle the phone , yeah like that;s going to help.
I have wipe back to factory, data, cache, dalvik and no luck.
It only happens when the wifi is on, it only started after 24 hours of manually flashing 4.2.2
Any help is appreciated in find the fix for this issue.
happened to me in 4.2.1.
but not that frequently in 4.2.2
I wonder the reason too

It seems that when you turn on "2G only" setting that seems to work but I'm not happy with this temp fix.
Hi,
My wife has got a GS4 a couple of month ago and she has been complaining a lot about how long it takes when she tries to reach the phone´s contacts. She showed it to me and it some times it can take up to 10 seconds or more before the contacts show up. Any idea how to fix this? I never notice this on my GS4 but I use a launcher, which my wife doesn´t want to do.
Come on, nobody??

Check its updated to the latest. Wipe the cache partition... if still not resolved to a full wipe. Or last.. reflash
I have S10 bought in UK dual sim. I have two sim inserted slot one UK and slot two foreign sim. They both were working fine until recently.
For the last two weeks both have started loosing connection to network. It is for few seconds 5-10 times a day. Initially this was with foreign sim and this morning the same happened with the UK sim.
I have tried all options in sim card manager, mobile networks and to restart the phone. Still the same.
I have dropped phone twice but this was some time ago so I do not think this is related.
Anyone have experienced something similar on any suggestions how to fix it?
Many thanks

Well, I think you should perform a factory reset and if problem persist, I advise you return to the Vendor as you have warranty. So you should get it replaced.
I have the same problem.. after factory reset things are a little better..
As Im using Android Auto on a daily basis, loosing the signal was very bad - as the application crashed every time that happened.. now, after factory reset and latest version of AA, I dont have any issues. Hopefully it will stay that way or Im going to ask for new one.
I was decided to do factory reset as a last resort but I thought that maybe I will start with other options and I did the Reset network settings.
So far all good. For the last two days no single issue with loosing network connection.

Mine was doing this too. Had to send it back and get a new one. Must've been hardware.
Same here. Unlocked usa version. Tried 2 different carriers, keeps losing network for no reason. Factory reset and flashing august 1 security patch didn't help either. On T-Movile forum, users that mailed it to samsung for warranty repair had motherboard replaced and issue is now fixed.
