I need a lot a power for my phone and I thought having a couple of extra batteries would be a good idea. I am planning on carrying around two extra batteries in my wallet inside a plastic bag. Is that a bad idea? Also, how fast does the battery lose power if I fully charge it and don't use it for several days? Thanks.
Bought this today

Be carefull when you buy replacment batteries, I've bought another one in ebay, i've bought the same one, it's says samsung, but I can only charge it at 26%. so bad :/

but anyway, buy some, it's helpfull, and cheap ^^
Yes, I know ebay sells a lot of low quality and misleading products. I still would like to know is it safe to store two batteries in my wallet in a ziplock bag and how quickly do fully charged batteries drain over time when your not using them. Lets say I kept them in my wallet for a day, few days, a week and I didn't use them. Will they still be fully charged? How fast do they lose their charge? Thanks.
Bump.
Bump, maybe the mod could move this to the S4 accessories forum?
I also bought 2 batteries replacement and a wall charger for them... Hopefully are good, with my S3 the ones I bought were really useful.

I don't trust ebay, full of scams and ripoffs. This looks like a good deal from a legit company.

its around 115 grams btw and only a tiny bit thicker than the s4. really a great buy from the look of it if you need extra battery.
I ordered two of these.
If no one can answer my questions I am going to repost this in the accessories forum.

Ok so I lost my battery cover in a bar =/ , I looked around and found this expansys thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3005813
I wasn't sure about expansys and they charge a fortune for Canada shipping. Anyhow I kept looking and just found that:
http://www.msgdigital.com/productdetail.asp?productid=46908
So it's a bit cheaper, shipping to canada is cheaper (still an expensive lost for a freakin cover! )
I am on the pre-order and I am using my old Htc Excalibur in the mean time.
I will update the thread to let people know about my experience since I know it's a pretty popular item with the fuze owner and some people are sick of expansys!
Pre-ordered. Hope they don't pull an Expansys...
Someone that has good skills in painting might want to take a look at this site and set something for fellow XDA members to maybe save money and not give the money to expansuck.

Was stated for Jan 8, now its:
Our Price: $24.99 Availability: 01/30/2009
Still faster then expansux stated at Feb 10...
Will keep you posted...

I was thinking of that kind of painting when I started to get pissed off of the finger dust on my Fuze... thanks for the info... now i know which paint I'm looking at.
As for the expansys (expensive) case, i got my pre-ordered for $15 (shipping to Canada is way too expensive, so I've asked a friend to do me a favor and ship it to me)
The shipping cost from expansys to Canada is exaggerating (we're talking about $30 for the case + $20 for shipping).... It's stupid. I asked my friend to buy me a $2 bubble envelop and ship it with a stamp
I don't know why people on XDA promote expansys so much, their products are expensive... the service is so so and international shipping is just stupid.
Got an email from msdigital today apologizing for the delay and confirmed a 1/20 ship date. Get bent, Expansys.
Hey what about me!
Lol, still good news
Did you end up getting these? Still says no date on website

i ordered from them in mid January, received 2 "delayed" emails then today they refunded my money. Looks like i might just get it from expansys, says they have them in stock
Order got cancelled yesterday, then they said:
We sincerely apologize for such delay in processing your order. With multiple promises from our vendor that were not kept, we have no choice but to cancel your order. Your credit card was not charged at the time of order placement.
Thank you

This cover is for the Extended 1800mah OEM battery.
I got this one as well, the device is pretty thick and massive. Battery last a good two days with this one compared to a little over a day with the regular one.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=472345
See this thread, I presonally got it of eBay with the battery, because alone its useless, the regular battery wont touch the cover and it might move/disconnect

I'll update: I ordered one from msgdigital.com and it arrived quickly. It is great! I love it better than the glossy, especially since I had accidentally scratched the back of my original Fuze battery cover...
I had no problems from MSGDigital.com. Just wanted to post that in light of the problems people had with expansys...
ok so I see you guys are looking for cases and what not, if your just looking to get a better color for your battery cover (black would be my choice) you guys could dye it yourselves without having to spend much money at all, everything you need should be under $2 and it will only take about 20 minutes to do.
All you have to do is go to your local Wal-Mart and buy some RIT dye, the powder kind, then get a pot with water and heat it up enough that it would burn if you stuck your finger in there but not so much that its boiling, then mix the dye in there and sumberge your battery cover completely in there, you don't have to worry about covering or removing the camera lense cover or anything, the dye shouldn't stick to that part of the battery cover and it shouldn't stick to the inside of your battery cover because of the type of material. You should stir the pot with your battery cover in it for 15 minutes then take it out and rinse it under water until all the extra dye has come off. You now should have a black battery cover that looks like it came that color stock. There are some pictures and success stories and basically a run down of what I just said in a thread over at PPC Geeks which is where I usually linger around.
Heres the link, pics and all should be on the first post.

HI, i have my htc hd2 up for sale.
i have had the phone for over a year, i bought it off of ebay from a guy who owned it for 2 days and didnt like it. i have had it in a case and screen protector since day one. the phone is unocked. it has a flawless screen, and excellent body, excpet the paint is wearing off of the battery door from being slid in and out of the case. body glove case that has a kickstand, which is also included, along with 5 screen protectors, a leather flip case, spare battery, spare wall charger with spare battery charging port, and a 2BG micro sd card. i have taken extremely good care of this phone, until the day it let me down... one day, after receiving a text message, the phone stop responding to touch. all of the hard keys work, the phone turns on and off, but the digitizer wont register any touch commands, hopefully someone with the will and know hpw can fix this, the parts shouldnt be too expensive from ebay. but the phone is no longer usefull to me. i will post pics in a day or two. if you have any questions, please dont hesitate to ask. Im not sure what this phone is worth, but id like to get $100, ill pay shipping if in the US. thank you.

probably be better to post this here:

and as to your sale, have you tried warranty? If it just stopped working like you said HTC should cover the repair for it.

Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me how on Eart I go about getting the charger replaced under warranty? I've registered my TF on Asus' site but I'm finding it difficult to raise a request for this. Basically, the plug on the end of the charger keeps coming loose and my TF only seems to charge intermittently as a result of this. The charger is a little bizarre in my opinion. Could have been built a little better and they could have at least given us more slack with the cable! It is painfully short! Thanks!
Vipergrm,
I called the customer service number here in the US (888-678-3688) and waded thru the many menus until I got to the TF people and told them mine had just quit working. They gave me an RA number to return the bad unit which they plan to replace. I had purchased a spare just in case and now i am using that one as my main charger.[they call that playing the odds] I plan on building a good one using a 12volt 2amp switching power supply. There is a thread on how to do that.
Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot for your reply. So they actually want the charger back before they replace it? That's a total pain. Is there no third party ones available anywhere? I can pay about £3 for an iPod/iPad charger but yet the Transforner is £25 for some reason. Probably the same in US dollars. Oh well. I'll try find a second one here in the UK. I suppose a spare is always handy. Thank you!

Mine died a couple of months back ..I called ...got a RMA ...sent it off and I got a brand new one sent to me. I had already bought a spare so no problem.
I believe (but don't quote me) a IPod/Ipad charger operates at 5 volts...a TF at 15 volts.....look up 15 volt chargers that put out 1200mA or more like on ebay...I'm sure your find they aren't the cheapest thing going.
For an alternative check out this thread....I have a simular one I made for a spare and keep the other extra TF one I bought in my travel case

Hi
My Note 3 LTE (N900W8) has been having issues with NFC tags and in general I've been having less charge than when I first got it almost two years ago.
I scanned the barcode/mini QR code on the battery and the model number is GH43-03974A or B800BU (Stock battery that came with phone)
I was thinking of just buying a battery online but can't find really any official sources. I checked Amazon and the third-party sources have counterfeit horror stories attached and the offcial amazon.ca shop is out of stock.
Thanks.
There are a lot, and I mean tones of fake Samsung batteries available online. They look exactly like the genuine battery so if your buying from an independent seller you have no way of knowing what you're getting until it's in your hands. TO make matters worse is the fact that the knock off batteries are some of the worst batteries available. The people that make these do not have to worry about maintaining a reputation for quality because they are simply riding one Samsung's existing rep. Why should they bother selling you a battery other than the cheapest thing they can get their hands on. In fact that's what they do.
My suggestion don't buy Samsung batteries unless you plan to buy from a licensed dealer. This way is the only way you can be assured of what you are getting. The problem is Samsung charges crazy money for OEM parts. I recommend buying one of the good quality 3rd party batteries. I suggest Anker myself. THey make really good batteries, they stand behind them, they are not crazy expensive, and as far as I know nobody counterfeits them. Anker cares about their reputation so they want you to have a good battery with their name on it. There are other third-party manufacturers of quality batteries also and most are avialable with NFC. I understnad you can also get cases with NFC built in but I have not seen them myself. Look around do some research and report back what you find to help other.
Take care my friend.
I've been lurking around some forums here and on the OP site and well.. Everyone is saying the replacement batteries are all crap. Either being rated at 2650mah or not working at all. Yet I've also read that people have had success with their new batteries from these "trusted sources".
Anyone got an idea where I can pickup a new battery? Or am I stuck with shipping my phone from Canada to China to get the battery replaced.
Edit: Just contacted Oneplus and they quoted the replacement batter at around $23 CAD, which isn't bad considering a replacement non-oem is $30 including shipping (well depends where you get it I suppose)
Apparently they also use original batteries, as per say from Kris.
Kris said:
Anyhow, for your second question, the battery we'll be using during replacement will be an authentic battery that is the same with the one that comes in the phone when you purchase it.

Just a tip, never assume things are original on ebay. I have the feeling that my battery is also weak (like a 2700mAh battery). I can do replacements myself, but don't know where to get those batteries from a legit store.
amen. bought 2 different batteries - both are crap, around 2700mAh MAX.
