I've been lurking around some forums here and on the OP site and well.. Everyone is saying the replacement batteries are all crap. Either being rated at 2650mah or not working at all. Yet I've also read that people have had success with their new batteries from these "trusted sources".
Anyone got an idea where I can pickup a new battery? Or am I stuck with shipping my phone from Canada to China to get the battery replaced.
Edit: Just contacted Oneplus and they quoted the replacement batter at around $23 CAD, which isn't bad considering a replacement non-oem is $30 including shipping (well depends where you get it I suppose)
Apparently they also use original batteries, as per say from Kris.
Kris said:
Anyhow, for your second question, the battery we'll be using during replacement will be an authentic battery that is the same with the one that comes in the phone when you purchase it.

i settled for the same solution. burned my fingers twice on some crappy "originals" from ebay. 33 EUR all-in for a replacement here in the netherlands done by OP. i should have never tried other methods.

Just a tip, never assume things are original on ebay. I have the feeling that my battery is also weak (like a 2700mAh battery). I can do replacements myself, but don't know where to get those batteries from a legit store.
amen. bought 2 different batteries - both are crap, around 2700mAh MAX.

Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me how on Eart I go about getting the charger replaced under warranty? I've registered my TF on Asus' site but I'm finding it difficult to raise a request for this. Basically, the plug on the end of the charger keeps coming loose and my TF only seems to charge intermittently as a result of this. The charger is a little bizarre in my opinion. Could have been built a little better and they could have at least given us more slack with the cable! It is painfully short! Thanks!
Vipergrm,
I called the customer service number here in the US (888-678-3688) and waded thru the many menus until I got to the TF people and told them mine had just quit working. They gave me an RA number to return the bad unit which they plan to replace. I had purchased a spare just in case and now i am using that one as my main charger.[they call that playing the odds] I plan on building a good one using a 12volt 2amp switching power supply. There is a thread on how to do that.
Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot for your reply. So they actually want the charger back before they replace it? That's a total pain. Is there no third party ones available anywhere? I can pay about £3 for an iPod/iPad charger but yet the Transforner is £25 for some reason. Probably the same in US dollars. Oh well. I'll try find a second one here in the UK. I suppose a spare is always handy. Thank you!

Mine died a couple of months back ..I called ...got a RMA ...sent it off and I got a brand new one sent to me. I had already bought a spare so no problem.
I believe (but don't quote me) a IPod/Ipad charger operates at 5 volts...a TF at 15 volts.....look up 15 volt chargers that put out 1200mA or more like on ebay...I'm sure your find they aren't the cheapest thing going.
For an alternative check out this thread....I have a simular one I made for a spare and keep the other extra TF one I bought in my travel case

anyone knows one that is at least nearly as good as the original?
ebay is filled with fakes trying to look good and just plain fakes.
i bought one which i knew it wasn't genuine but i thought "what the heck, it's probably good for a few hours" and it isn't. i have to underclock the cpu so the phone wouldn't reboot and in lasts 6 hours if i'm lucky.
Just get the original. Its not that expensive. In india it is 1000 bucks. Do the math..
Bought two on DealExtreme... obviously fake and been using one without any issues.. honestly can't tell if it's fake or original judging only by the endurance.
I would like to share my experience of battery purchase. I bought a battery from ebay, this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/19066970991...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1357wt_1141
I recieved the package in just over a week, but it was a battery for some ZTE device!!! I contacted the seller and they immediately sent me another one. Under one week later I had my new battery(seems like an original battery).
On first charge it seems to hold a lot better then my 15 months old battery I had. Charging now takes 1.5 hours like it used to, the old battery was 0-100% charged in 30-40 minutes, with the original charger.
So for 4.99$ or in my case under 4€ including shipment I can go more then a day of normal use, surfing, mail, calling, reading xda..
Or easily 2 days of light use.
I think it was well spent money, I recommend!
Edit: I guess I should mention that battery tested with ezet CM7.

Also bought one from DealExtreme, it works ( no problem there ) but mine doesn't last as long as the original one ( tested on the official 2.3 ), but great for spare if you don't have a charger around .

Where do you get the original one? In bangalore? any idea
In Bangalore, Huawei has a service center near KR Puram. They actually couriered me one since Im too lazy to move around too much
Any huawei service center should be able to give you one if you turn up. Give them a call first.
Is there anyone here who can help me buy a new battery in India?

You can find some from Aliexpress. Bit risky of course what you get from sellers without any feedback.
Newpower99 responded and said there supplier ceased production. Sounds like no more support
Wanted together one but from decently known company. Maybe go for nexus 9 instead.
There are some on ebay uk.

Battery replacement
You can also get your battery replaced by Samsung. I gave up trying to find one to install myself. My Nexus 10 was out of warranty and could not hold a charge at all. Sent it in, they turned it around and was back to me in 4 days, replaced not only the battery but the ports as well. $107.00 but cheaper than buying a new tablet. Working like new now. You'll have to wade through their customer service menus to find the right person to help you but they are there.
I recently purchased 3 S7 edge G375U from ebay seller "cellitems" and my experience is far from acceptable.
Only 1 out of 3 looked new. 2 out of 3 were scratched up especially on the flash and sensor lens on the back. All 3 came with the box seals broken. When I contacted them they assured me they were new and only opened for unlocking. I was thinking what? These are factory unlocked to begin with!
I started looking more closely to these phones and it turned out all them are Sprint version G375P with G375U ROM installed. Although it works fine but I surely don't like being lied to.
If admin see this, please move this thread to the discussion. Posted here by mistake
"Although it works fine but I surely don't like being lied to."
For the principal, I'd go for a refund, or more assertive resolution that failing... and look elsewhere
Asking for a refund on 2. Keeping one for personal reason. I think ebay should have a better system in place to punish these sellers. It's said that most customer didn't know they got tricked. 1 star feedback will be given. I wish ebay can notify other buyers of this scam.

That's not true. Im buying 3 phones in the past and not one was a fake.
I think the buyer should be more careful and reading the ratings for example. Not reading the positive ratings.. Read the negativ ratings. I didnt say its his fault... I dont like it too and hate them sellers.
To the op :
Did you Pay via Paypal? So u can Open an issue on Paypal. Until its not solved the seller didnt get his money

Naive
Ratings and feedback mean nothing, I bought a PS3 controller from a guy with thousands of 100% positive feedback, controller was a fake
Bought iPad charger from someone with very high 100% positive feedback, also fake
You want to know how they keep their 100% positive feedback? The same way they tried to get me to reverse my negative rating by refunding me under the agreement that I could keep the item as long as I changed my feedback from negative to positive (I did not change my feedback)
eBay ratings = Nothing
You got lucky

Yep, you can find hidden honest gems shops, but like I say, you have to sift through the 90% of fakes to find that 10% pot of gold
I'd rather pay the extra to buy from a real online shop than use eBay these days

For my personal use, I ended up buying it from Bestbuy. Even Items directly from China operated store was good. Got one of those Lenovo's fastest tablet for cheap!
Recent experience of buying new phone on eBay (all local USA sellers) is horrible. Aside from S7 edge, I bought a LG G5 in the summer and ended up returning them all, 5 times total. Again, the phone was installed with unofficial ROMs.
I would like to add, buying from individual ebay sellers (not one with a store) is mostly safe.
I would like to add never buy parts from FixEZ on ebay as they claim oem quality And most def is not...
I bought a lcd and frame assembly from them and its made of reg glass not gorilla and there cust service rep cussed me out when I sent the screen shots of the website as he told me they never claimed oem.
Which they most def did...
The screen cracked in my pocket when i sat down just from the pressure in a front pocket of fairly baggy pants might i add
This was for a LG G4
There is one advantage to there being so many fakes on eBay, so long as the seller advertises them as genuine, and they are not, you can usually get a full refund along with them letting you keep the item if you complain they are breaking eBays Ts&Cs by false advertising
They'll usually try to get you to accept 50% refund & keep the item, but if you push them and tell them you want them to send you a pre-pay box to return the item for full refund & will contact eBay about their false advert, 90% of the time they refund in full and you get an automated message from eBay saying you do not need to do anything else nor return the item
And tbh, I feel no sorrow for them losing any money considering they know they're scamming so many people with fakes

Everything is possible on eBay, easy enough to buy shrink-wrap and claim it is factory sealed
Stickers have often been faked
Firmware on the phone has been faked
Model number on the back of the actual phone has been faked
Model number on the box has been faked / wrong box used
Buy new if you want 100% guarantee it is what you are buying, or make sure you have a good and sure way of being refunded if you still go the eBay route
ok so I went the ebay route. I found an individual seller, not one of those cell phone stores. I got 2 of the 930FD for $460 each. Not a great price but not too bad I thought. They were factory sealed and brand new. Thankyou all for the tips and suggestions.
Yes, I know.. another battery thread. This is, however, for european users.
Does anyone knows where to buy decent replacement FX30 battery in europe (or china). Tried those fake ones off ebay but capacity below 2k mAh and they die after 2 months of use - waste of time and money. No one from US will ship batteries to europe due to federal law regulations.
Motorola/Lenovo are not helping either. Was willing to pay them to replace the battery in authorised service but no one in Lenovo/Moto knew the cost. They asked to send device in for a week for their, so called, 'engineers' to investigate and then they would give the quote. Really? ..just to find out that the price is.. say £100 or more. No, thank you.
Well, I'm still on the hunt for half decent replacement that won't crap on me within 2 months. (Or even burn my house in the process). Anyone had good experience with non-original FX30 batteries long term? Original battery would be preferred option though.
Thanks
I got luckly and was able to buy this on eBay. Maybe they can ship this to you.
