I am running stock with Franko's m2
I all so installed the baseband .27 I have a lot better signal and faster speeds. I was running around 1Mb now im seeing 3 to 6 Mb. Depending on network and time of day.

i just flashed 1.29 for the rom and i was just wondering if i should switch radios and if i should which would be the best one? and are there any kernals that provide better battery life compared to the stock one? im really new to all of this so any help would be appreciated.
I hear v5 is a good kernel and faux123 always has good stuff. I'm also on 1.29, I've been getting great battery life with the stock kernel so there us no need to change it for me. I'm only averaging 1.5mbps though with full bars, will a new radio help data speeds? I've been reading about radios but still not too sure what they do. Can anyone suggest a radio that is good with this rom?

try the panache radio or any of the gingerbread radios. some works better than others. They may or may not give you stronger signals and faster data transfer. However your battery life may change too, for better or worse. You'll have to experiment with each radio.

I'm trying the new kg6 modem in Cyanogenmod and miui rom, since I've 2 galaxy s for testing. I notice a very speedy call connecting, seems to be very better different from the good kg3.
So you notice it too?

i have done now speedtest. With kg3 download speed 1600kb now 2100kb. Upload 1400 and now 1600.
Also little 3g h h+ fixed, now swapping only one time when you use the mobile data.
And also seems to be that reception signal bar have got a different calibration (or more device sensibility to mobile signal)

Anyone got a link to the modem zip file?
i tried this modem and it drained my battery like mad compared to kg3/kf2 that i have used before this one.
data speeds were ok but signal was really really low hence the draining of my battery .
KG6 improved broadband connectivity a lot for me, always getting "H" now. It's true that its draining more battery, but I also installed Lite'ning v5 ROM (which is KG6 based), so I can't tell exactly if the extra battery drain is only due to the modem component of the KG6 release or to some other custom-kernel related issues.
I'm not sure if it's placebo effect or not. But it does seem improve the 3G, H+ speed quite a bit. I'm with AT&T in NYC but just did a test, the download speed broke 5mbps for the first time ever.
My 3G connection has sped up significantly and I am also finding that I have reception in places that I usually would not.
YAYY
Yes, my signal seems to be much better than KG2 and this was the first time i got a 7.5mbps download speed.
I use KG6 and have no excess battery drain .
|I have an increase of about 10% in WiFi strength over KG3 .

Best for me so far,had no probs with it draining the batt.
I downloaded and installed this modem on my SGS1, and it worked. More than worked, it was amazing. Problem is now that I'm reading about it, potentially was a mistake and harmful to the phone. Any thoughts?
You will probably be ok with a modem on SGS1 ..
KH3 faster for me in all tests .
jje
How does it compare to KH3?
here is the zip file

I doubt anyone cares, really.
well, was certainly worth bumping a 3 month old thread for this.
I have also many problems with signal in places where i hadn`t before . And I'm from SPAIN with 4.0.2.A.0.42, even recommended to put it in airplane mode
In 4.0.2.A.0.58 update Are they fixed ?
Yes, using the lt15i rom and at certain spots, the signal will reset every hr or so. I am in canada with rogers

for me, .58 is by far having the best battery life for me....
Im on .58 still having this problem !
Is this doomkernel faulty? Im using doom kernel
I should note I use LT15a, you should state your model. I'm using doomkernel v15 with no issue, stock ROM otherwise.
I got problem with my Neo too since I update to .42. Not the biggest issue but I notice in the battery graph much more time without a signal than before. Stock ROM and Kernel here.
thats what i say.
anybody has the same problem
I dont know if its same as you guys but my bars are always fulklk cause I have very good signal in my area but if I go battery usage and click on the graph it shows my signal as orangy colour which means signal is crap. Normally its always green. I only noticied this since .42
Exactly the same men
Yes i'm also facing the same issue of signal drop and reception getting refreshed every time after update. Since i'm on 3G 24/7 I have also noticed that the phone gets bit heated up every time in standby also causing the battery drain fast.
Try the .368 baseband (-36) with the latest firmware. The reception issue will disappear. I'm using it for quite sometime and it's pretty stable and neat.
How I change the baseband ?

Use the latest Flashtool (Look into the development section) to flash baseband only from any ROM.
I didnt notice that.

Sorry for posting this in the wrong section. This belongs in the Euphoria thread but I don't have enough posts to comment there.
I have experienced the problem of a very weak cell signal after flashing Euphoria + Kiss2.2 kernel. I noticed that a couple other people in the thread were having the same problem but there were no solutions yet.
I think I may have a workaround for this problem. By enabling 2g data only in the settings, my signal has gone from zero/one bar to a constant four bars. I noticed that when the phone switches from Edge to 3g it completely loses signal strength.
I hope this helps somebody else.

Try flashing a different modem. I moved from the stock KB5 to KA7 and get great reception again. Links to modem downloads are in my signature.

Thanks for the tip...but I had the same problem with KB1 and KA7. To be honest KA7 did give me the best reception overall.
The same thing happens regardless of the modem. The signal bars will momentarily climb to two or three then the mobile network type will switch from EDGE to HSDPA and I will then get one bar if i'm lucky.
My reception was great with Froyo and everything else is working fine in this ROM.
For me, 3g signal is awful. My wife's htc g2 gets full 4 bars and 6mbps download speed while I get 4.

Hi!
I have a problem with my nexus 7. Wifi signal on this one is terribly weak when on my SGS+ signal on the same place is much better. I am using Sentinel 4.2.2 ROM and Motley's Kernel (the newest version). Do anyone know some tweaks to increase received wifi signal? (this is just 6m from router and 1 wall...)
Thanks for so much reply ;P
