I'm assuming you mean 'emoticons' or the little 'smiley' faces? I'm sure it will have them. Either the typical yellow faces or the little Android heads.

It's okay I recently bought Sliding Messaging, its a great app made from someone here on XDA! Comes with emojis and everything you can imagine still in heavy development, only con is mms messages. Besides that, it's a good app.

My current phone, an HTC Vivid, had cm10 with emojis, but it had a in-call bug that volume was too low and you had to scream for others to hear you, so i replaced it with another ROM. Is there already a root for the S4?

Just an update, I found these 'emojis' in my Instagram profile. I previously typed them in using my emoji enabled iPad 3rd gen & these are what appeared when I was using my G4. Normally on my other phone, they were just obnoxious blank squares.

I'm on the road with my brothers, I'm Running wireless tether on my N1 and I am able to browse the Internet on this gorgeous big screen. I'm typing this up on it right now! My brother knows nothing about rooting or anything of that nature. So he is pretty amazed that my phone can do this that he now wants to get an Android phone. Possibly an N1 too.

The iPad is a great device. I played with it at the Apple store this weekend.
However, it's not much more than an entertainment device. The lack of multitasking, and a real file system kills it for me. Productivity is possible, but without those two, it suffers greatly.
Add those two, and a camera, and now we're talking.
I'll wait for version 2.0, or the Chrome Tablet. Check out the pics / video:

i took my SIM out (at&t) and then went to the market and searched for PDANet and i have come to the conclusion that at&t has been blocking access to this app... so now i have it
I am running 2.2 FRF91 on my N1 and I just noticed that the Facebook app caused my trackball light to turn blue... Woot!!! They finally did it.
Or else I'm just crazy...

Twidroid has been doing this for about a month on mine. I wish the apps gave more control over it though.
On a side note: Twidroid (now Twidroyd) would flash BLUE quickly. If I got a new email, I would get ONE (1) single flash showing I have a new email, then it would be all back to quick blue flashes. It did not continue to show me I had an email... which to me is much more important than knowing I have unread tweets. However, since it's changed to Twidroyd, the EULA is quite ominous and I don't agree to having them intercept and have rights over my tweets. Granted they may not be significant, but they are my own and I don't want a 3rd party getting into it. So I've switched to the official Twitter app. It's not bad. I'll know more in a week.
Handcent sms apps gives you blue trackball. Yahoo Messenger gives purple color. FYI

While most people know this, we did not think that stock 2.2 would include trackball colors. I was pretty shocked when I got my first blue facebook notification. I was able to download LED testers and play with the colors but unable to save them to specific apps.
You'd think it would have some settings if they where planning on including the feature. Eventually it will come I guess.

Uh, yeah we did. The code was committed by google before Froyo even came out. It was pretty apparent it was coming

everyone here knew at least....ChainsDD mentioned that google pushed it to the source so we knew it would be out in the next android release, which happened to be froyo

Good lord I can't figure out if this company is a joke or if people actually purchase from them. I took a look at their prices and you have to shell out $100+ for each individual mod. In same cases the mod costs more than the phone itself ($250 for iPhone 4 mod...).

there is a fix for the gps out via xda.
haven't seen one that didn't demo the FFS syndrome (Fresh Flash Syndrome) - once installed for a few days to a week, it goes to **** again (except for allgamer's claims)

Not really. Lots of ringtones to send to your phone. My contacts are already synced in! So are some texts! Download some HTC Likes apps (Paper Toss for example).
The Footprints section looks excellent. As does the Dashboard - where you can lock phone, wipe it, track it. You can also clear all missed calls, and forward calls and messages as we already knew. Adding contacts is very easy too. All seems to work like a dream

Daughter messed with my phone, now whenever I get a call the answer screen looks like this. Can anyone tell me what this is and how to get rid of it?

If you google image "evo-4g-call-screens1.jpg" it's the first image that comes up and it's the right screen of the two in that picture.
It's a screen that has the contact picture in the center of the screen and you can either drag the picture up to answer the call, drag it down to the bottom left to "ignore" or drag it to the bottom right to "ignore with text"

Well I must be crazy then... thanks both for replying... maybe they set it up differently at the store when I first got it. I'm pretty new with android so I can't really figure it out. It was previously set up with the swipe right to answer, swipe left to decline answer screen, at least I could have sworn. My memory might be going. Is that possible to either re-enable, or add on somehow?
Maybe that's what it looks like when the keyboard is open and you get a call? Ill post a pic.(its two pics cause i ctopped out the callers name)

I don't recall that one. (I wish I could just post a screen shot, that'd be much easier, almost there though)
It had "incoming call" towards the top, contact picture under that, both of which took up roughly the top half of the screen, and then on the bottom part it had two tabs, one on each side, green circle phone inside a tab on the left, red circle phone inside tab on the right, and you'd swipe the tabs to either side either to accept or decline.
10th screenshot after a google image search for "android incoming call"
That is the vanilla android call answer screen. The epic never had that in stock form. Are you rooted, on a custom rom, etc.(I'm not lol)

No, not rooted, no roms, etc... I had a co-worker play with it when I first got it, but as far as I know, no tweaks that deep were ever made. If it's not normal, I'll consider myself old and crazy and call it good. The only other thing I could think of was perhaps some software update may have changed it since then, but again, I can't remember.
You should probably ask that co-worker if he put it on there.

Were you playing with anyone elses phone lately? Maybe they had that answer screen and your just remembering it as yours?

He said he didn't do anything with that. Oh well, if it was never stock, it's probably not easy to get back (assuming it was actually there, which I can't verify) so I won't worry about it. Thank you very much for your help though, I really appreciate it!

porting the Epic 4g call answer screen to Epic touch
Since you all are talking about the Epic 4g call answer screen, i wanted to ask what i need to do to port that over to my epic touch. I like that answer screen and would rather have that one, than the one that comes stock on the epic touch. If you can help me out i would really appreciate it..
