Motorola CLIQ/DEXT

Will you guys buy the upcoming Motorola/T-Mobile phone featuring Android w/ MotoBLUR UI ??
Price of it isn't established yet.. although rumors says it will be for free with 2 years agreement! Seems to me its too much of a phone to be giving away.. pre-order starts october 19th can't wait to check this one out

Def not worth trading for the UI tho its Specs are improved that's really a deal breaker for me

I thought they said it was $200 with new activation or 2 year contract extension. $449 without contract. If it was $250 without contact or free with a contract I would snatch it up.

No number row on the hard kb could be a dealbreaker for those who spend a lot of time at the console...

Atleast the sliding mechanism looks more solid than the G1's mechanism. That's not saying much though.

better battery and proximity sensor is a nice add-up... 5mp camera hmm dont care much if there isnt flash still.

i would probably buy one but the only problem is it wont be on xda

I'm gonna wait a few months and see what kind of feedback it gets and when the price goes down some before I make decision. I've been disappointed from the past few Moto's I've used, also the fact I just got a MT3G.

That would be the rumored new phone possibly coming to T-Mobile. A couple of tech news sites ran an article a few weeks back speculating with the exact info you see on that page. A couple of sites have the "rumored" specs and pic and are offering pre-sale. This is not confirmed by either T-Mobile or Samsung so I definitely wouldn't pre-order yet.
Another thread around here asking who's getting it is about three weeks old also.

not excited..
i've held the dx2, the sensation and other 4.3 inch phones, size is fine...but the att hercules is just bigger..
besides im not really focused on phones right now, my attention has been on tablets lately.. hopefully tmo will get a new nexus device in the fall or early next year..
just random... why is it that when i call tmo, it's like a party at their office, LOL.. i asked one time and the guy said that everybody is taking a break .. don't they have a break room or something? lol..

If the other carriers get galaxy s2 with tegra 2 then we got better version an bigger screen I'm just sick of tegra that's y why my next tab is gonna be Archos g9 omap4 :-D

No, that's also the Hercules. You can see the FFC hole on the left side and Vibrant doesn't have TouchWiz 4.0

A Nuukey bluetooth keyboard for the iPhone; I had seen one of these before online and thought if it could be some way retrofitted onto another phone. It was a
pretty lucky find in that I was able to inspect it hands on. I thought since I had blown all my money anyways, so why not try it. Here is what I have so far:

Pretty cool! Why can't they start making stuff like that more ofen for androids? I guess they change so much. Hopefully they stick with the design for the atrix for the next few years and there will be more of a market for our phones.

It's the one thing that I'm missing from my old HTC 8125 and 8525.
Ugh playing roms on those things was infinitely more fun when I had buttons to press.
Edit: Also, if anyone stumbles upon a keyboard that connects via usb rather than over Bluetooth, please share.

this is fantastic. now what you should do is pick up an extra battery cover and outfit the sliding joint to it. i wonder how hard that would be. i have been trying to figure out this exact mod for months

Youtube vid shows it on, slight modification necessary however. Definitely think I might do this once I have some money.

I think a USB keyboard in this form factor would be fantastic, less battery consumer, and it shouldn't be so hard with the USB-host support, I'm right?

I kind of like this idea, plus then you could use it in places where bluetooth might be prohibited. Also makes your phone less open having bluetooth off.

i bought one for $70 for my iphone 4 but gave it away to my brother since I ditched the crapple for the atrix..never thought to keep it for the atrix..wish I did!

Well it's been two days and there is some bad news after sliding it back and forth the springs gave out and there is too much pressure being put on the slide plate causing it to bend. I'm going to have to modify how its mounted before releasing instructions; I dont want anyone wasting their time or money.

Ha! I have trouble remembering where I left my keys!! There's been to many to list, I think they have been changing them up. I've been checking in every now and then to see if Construction Master Pro might show up, great app but I aint payin $20!!

Yeah haha, that is why I was asking because I noticed a lot that aren't shown on the front page.

Oh I didn't realize there were others sprinkled about in the market. Guess I didn't notice any different ones outside of the sale list. LOL
Which ones had you seen that weren't listed? Just curious as most listed are sorta meh. Haven't seen an official list anywhere.

Find it kind of odd that PaperCamera is showing as an app for $0.25, but when you go to it, it is $0.49. I could care less as I got it for free from Amazon a long time ago.

You should watch amazon app store, they tend to give away high dollar apps once or twice a month since Sept I have scored about a dozen or so apps that were normally $10-20 like documents to go pro and splashtop so if you're looking for something in the $10+ range I'd watch the appstore before the market ;-)

reading the article, the white is affected as well, just doesnt show a prominent milkiness since its white. yeah i'm definitely holding back till us variant arrive and comparing.

Tweakers.net says that Samsung where forced to destroy 600.000 back covers because of a faulty painting...

Is "samsung never being good on quality" the reason i never had to make any repairs on all of my families 8 samsung phones?

Whatever the reason might be... How is this possible after all those delays. Wasn't there a single person who noticed this while Samsung was pushing forward the launch date and later, after the launch date, in the period before actually shipping the thing.
I still believe they are trying to dump a batch of pre produced white units before releasing the flinstone blue version. I bet they made a big miscalculation and are confronted with a big preorder for the blue one.
