Port HTC HD Stock tab to Diamond

Hi,
Can someone port the STock tab to Diamond? Is it possible?

Doesn't this belong under "Diamond ROM Development"? Good idea, though, although I don't think it's possible... yet anyway

If someone creates a similar tab in functionality, then it belongs here, not in ROM development.

It would be a great thing to view my portfolio on this thing without having to log into E*Trade in Opera.

Seriously, what are you talking about? You obviously have no clue in history, especially, in this case, what the Great Depression (which originated in the USA) did to Europe.
There's nothing wrong with stating the obvious truth. If I made you uncomfortable because you choose to close your eyes instead of seeing the truth, well that's your problem.

This is not a forum for political comments.
BUT since you people started, it is AT LEAST lame to believe that US is what balances the planet. US can very well be what distracts the balance from time to time.

Yes, Hitler rose to power ONLY because of the Depression...
Of course he didn't. Massive oversimplification. It may have helped, but certainly wasn't the only, or probably even the main reason.
Also, yes the US has a massive bearing on the world at the moment, but China and Japan have grown in power massively recently, and with the world not in a state of post-War rebuilding, the situation is totally different.
I too would like a stock tab by the way.

OK everyone settle down. Let's focus. We all want this stock tab.
Currently, I'm writing my own local html files with links to http://stockcharts.com/avantgo/ charts.
I have been using this work-around for almost three years now and I'm really quite sick of it. I myself am willing to contribute monetarily towards porting this stock tab.

Is there no slight possibility HTC will bring it to the Diamond and Raphael in a subsequent ROM release?

Fully rooted, SlingPlayer not showing up in the Market

I was so excited when I got the email saying that the SlingPlayer for Android is released. So I checked the Market and ... well it's not there.
My other friend's stocked Evo already purchased and installed SlingPlayer but I just can't seem to find it no matter what in Market.
I read somewhere that it was because the Market checks the OS build and such to make sure it's okay for that platform.
Anybody has any ideas?
P.S. I have mine fully rooted.

Well mine is the stock ROM that the full root supplied, with a "test key" after the build number.
Not sure if that's the cause or what but I guess if I really don't have no choice but to use a leaked APK then... meh.
Any ideas?

Try another ROM? I'm running OMJ and it shows up in the market on mine.

hell, with all the trouble people are having even finding this app i don't blame them for downloading it for free.

The quality is actually pretty bad. I have the HD sling, hooked up via component cables. Basically, there are no options to adjust any quality settings. This is what it looks like at home over wifi. And yes, I pulled my cablemodem power to make sure it was actually using the in house wifi.
Source is a 1080i image that looks awesome over my 5mb up connection, on my PC. On the phone, just barely worth watching at arms lenght.
Note the graininess on 1 & 2, and the TERRIBLE aliasing (jaggies) on 3.
Not worth $30, to me.

Well thanks guys, but I end up finding it somewhere the lights don't shine.
It looks okay with my Solo over Component at 720p.
Beats the heck out of the Touch Pro 2 though!

right..you're suppose to replace that 'test' ROM with a rooted ROM so the market works etc.

Well, as we haven't even gotten 2.3 on the captivate yet..it will probably be a while for 3.0..hopefully it doesn't just work on tablets.

Truthfully, I don't think that many developers truly tried to port 2.3 to us. Supercurio got that test demo out, but no one ever put out a legitimate ROM. And if we have to rely on Samsung... Well, lets just get used to having Froyo.

This just in: Cyanogenmod dropping development on CM7 for SGS.

No it's a work in progress. If it was ready believe me you would know.

I've been using it for less than a day, but no show stoppers if you know what you're doing. phone works, mms/sms work, wifi can cause kernel panics if it falls asleep (just set to never sleep)... you can thank atinm and the cmsgsteam for it, but CM7 is VERY MUCH SO on the way and in progress

also, I already see this as going to be my daily driver at this point. the only "problems" I've seen are listed above (oh and the camera doesn't work quite yet, can't actually snap photos, just FC's on trying... but barcode scanner works)

not to mention the battery life is about 10% an hour on light usage

im hoping for the best and would love a solid release. I wish I knew more so I could help :/

Been my daily for 2 weeks.
If anyone is prepared to do some work the rom is there. Just don't show up and ask how to install Linux, what is terminal etc. You need to be self sufficient, its not a simple cwm flash.

If you make a phone sized AVD from the honeycomb SDK, you get a very functional phone ROM. Looks very similar to gingerbread.

My build will take pictures, you just have to hold down the button and let it focus first. Otherwise, it will FC.

I was reading this and thinking about that nice dual core lg and just noticed my evo's battery went down 20% in less than a minute haha guess mine's more jealous than yours

I think it's important not to lose sight of the primary purpose of your cell phone. For some it's voice, for others it's data capabilities. Once these priorities have been sorted out, then you should choose a carrier based on coverage of area you're in most. Finally you can start deciding on the handheld itself. Choosing a carrier based on devices they offer makes little sense. Look at at&t... in most areas (esp rurual), their coverage is crap, and even in the metro area (ie, chicago), dropped calls are still common. Of course, budget supersedes any and all of this.

has anyone thought about swapping out, or adding the flyer to their sprint account?
i would love to get one alongside my evo, but if i could find a way to practically carry it around without looking like a doofus, i would use it as my primary phone/tablet.
just wondering if anyone else is interested in this tablet by sprint.
and if youre going to keep your evo

Since it's got 4G and everything I'd assume you could use the Google Voice integration if nothing else.

Same here, right now the Sprint data service sucks. Is a shame! I am not going to put a penny more in sprint until the dont fix the 3g service!

yup, ive already told the f00ls in dan heeses office they have till the evo3d and view come out to get things fixed otherwise im gone to another carrier.

I have the nook color and it is the size of the large Moleskin notebook -- in fact I used to use my softsided Moleskin as a "case" for it until I got a real one.
It is not very large, but I could not imagine using it as a phone unless using a bluetooth headset. Most carriers are blocking calling features--including Google Voice--on these devices. I think the T-mobile GSM version of the Galaxy Tab was the only one that got hacked into placing and receiving calls.You could do Google Voice over WiFi, but that is if the new Sprint Integration has not mucked it up, and YMMV on that. http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/05/sprint-google-voice-integration-has-major-issues-major-lack-o/
