I noticed with the developer edition the signal strength only show 1 or 2 bar on tombile lte network ,and signal moving between HSPA+ and LTE frequently. i also have sony xperia zl c6506 which show full bar of signal strength in same place, and stay on lte most of time.

International Note 2 at FCC already..

http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/12/galaxy-note-2-fcc/
Sweet! At least we know it's already at the FCC and will most likely be good to go.
No U.S. LTE on this one (as expected), but that's good for those of us who hope to use this on our Unlimited MediaNet plans.
I think...the N7100 version is the one everyone is waiting for. At least I am.
Je le croyais aussi.
N7100 vs N7105
I really have no idea but it appears the N7105 is international version with no LTE, at least that works with ATT. The N7100 is the model number with LTE that will work with ATT. Is this true? Negri Electronics is selling the N7100, the spec says "4G Network LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 2100". Does this work with ATT 4G LTE? Is this the model, if you want LTE, to buy?
I preordered from Negri a week ago, but definitely want LTE in U.S.so keep order or cancel? Many websites reference in specs LTE but others call for 2 models....anyone really know. Clove U.K. simply calls device Samsung Note 2, no reference to N7100 or N7105. It clearly doesn't show in specs 4G LTE, only 3G.Handtec (U.K.) calls out phone N7100 with the following spec:"3G: HSPA+ 21Mbps (HSDPA 21Mbps / HSUPA 5.76Mbps) 4G LTE: 100Mbps/ 50Mbps (HDSPA 42Mbps / HSUPA 5.76Mbps)
So which is it? Does anyone know?
It should work because ATT operates Lte on the 1700 and 2100 bands.

Yes... Same with Bell Canada LTE 700/1700/2100.
However what's confusing me is reading from the verge preview is the n7100 didn't have LTE.
Gsmarena also states this and list LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 2100 - N7105.

That's the problem seems to have conflicting opinions, like no one really knows.i just asked Negri electronics ans this is what he wrote:

Hey Bob, I do see your inquiry. According to specs this unit will get the full LTE mobile data speeds but we are unable to guarantee this until they are released.
So maybe all speculation and we won't know until this device is released.

Moto 4G LTE and DC-HSPA

Hi guys, i bought this fantastic phone, but i don't find anywhere if it support DC-HSPA connection (up to 42Mbps speed instead of 21Mbps speed of base G version). Does anyone one something about it?

Moto G 4G supports only HSDPA - 21 Mbps; HSUPA; LTE.
Source of information - http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_moto_g_4g-6355.php
I read some Motorola forum posts where users says that 4G has DC-HSPA too, so up to 42mbps. I don't understand.

I'm not sure about it either.
Contact Motorola by email or have a live chat with them on their website. They will clarify your doubt.
Unfortunely they told me that Moto G LTE doesn't support DC-HSPA up to 42mbps. That's a shame.
Atleast they added LTE and MicroSD slot to improve on what is already an excellent device.
So if XT1039 have maximum 21mbps speed with LTE, then there's no difference with XT1032 in download speed cause xt1032 have 21mbps without LTE.
I'm confused here, are they playing word gimmicks again like back in the day with they did with ATRIX 4G ? (max 14.4mbps)

XT1039 doesn't have 21mbps max with LTE, but with HSPA+.
21 MB sounds enough to me

? It's all down to what you can get from your network.
- HSPA+ or (Evolved High Speed Packet Access), is a souped-up version of HSUPA and HSDPA 3G standards with speeds comparable to the newer LTE networks.
Theoretical speeds are said to feature download speeds up to 168Mbps and uplink of 22Mbps.
- LTE, or (Long Term Evolution), is considered a “true” 4G network.
Theoretical speeds boast downlink speeds of 300Mbps and uploads of 75Mbps.
http://www.androidauthority.com/hspa-vs-lte-which-one-is-better-78120/
Many networks claiming to be providing (4G LTE) but in reality they are only providing (HSPA+).

If I wanted to buy Moto G LTE then its surely won't be for LTE. It will be for the SD card option. So better save the money.
Will the carriers really provide LTE data speeds? Absolutely not. Not even closer to the real HSPA+. The uplink of HSPA+ (22 Mbps) is what we will get from our carriers for the downlink and Moto G's limit is just 21 Mbps.

What do you mean? I consistently get over 21mb/s on AT&T with my Moto G. The 21mb/s limit is only a limitation for carriers that support HSPA+42. The benefit of LTE is not just speed but much less latency than HSPA. HSPA+42 being missing is not really a huge deal in the USA because most carriers and locations that support HSPA+42 will also support LTE.
Hey,
on the search if my Moto G 4G (XT1039) can get DC-HSPA I found this old thread and this.
So it surprised me that today I got 24.72 Mbit/s down on 3G.

So could it be that they applied a software update?
I just run speed test on my moto g lte and got 88Mbps down, 16Mbps up and 25ms ping.
Re-run speed test on H+ and got 20Mbps down, 2Mbps up and 47ms ping. So LTE is definitely doing something.

[Q] SM-N910F

Does anyone know if the SM-N910F will get LTE service on AT&T in the United States?
I am looking for a definite answer as well from someone who has the F or the C. I would rather go with Internation if I am going to bring my own phone to AT&T
Has anyone seen/read any confirmation if a the N910F or N910U will work with the AT&T Network? I currently have the AT&T N910A and have only till the 25th to return it; phone cannot be rooted at this time and don't want to be stuck with it.
I'm reading conflicting reports saying the the N910U will work with AT&T, the N910C is exynos based and would like a Qualcom based version.
I ended up purchasing a SM-N910F. While it does work on the AT&T network I am getting 4G connectivity but no LTE indicator.

You've the -F- (European) version of the Note 4; maybe your Note 3 is operating on a different (faster) LTE/4G band that is not supported on your Note 4!

Sorry Bro, but 4G does not equal LTE. At least not in the US. A while back when 4G was an upcoming technology, carriers started pushing updates to the phones that made the phone display 4G even though it was actually running HSPA+ (3.5G). When LTE came out, the phones would still either display 4G or would display 4G LTE or just LTE. The only true way to tell if your phone is recognizing the LTE network is in your "About Device" Status screen under Mobile Network Type/State. That will tell you which network you are connected to, whether it be EDGE(2G), HSDPA(3G), HSPA+(3.5G/4G), or LTE(4G LTE).
AT&T is pretty tight lipped about their service. I have received many different answers depending on who you talk to at AT&T. The only thing I can suggest is to put the AT&T sim card it and make sure you have the APN configured correctly. The European model of the Note 4 actually has more LTE bands than the AT&T model. For quick reference, wikipedia states that AT&T in the US uses 2, 4, and 17.
Off of Samsung US for Note 4 AT&T:
SM-N910A - B2(1900) / B4(AWS) / B5(850) / B12(700) / B17(700)
Off of Samsung UK for Note 4 Europe Unlocked:
SM-N910F - B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B8(900), B17(700), B20(800)
Interesting to note that the AT&T Note Edge has almost all the same LTE bands as the European Note 4.
Off of Samsung US for Note Edge AT&T:
SM-N915A - B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B17(700), B20(800)
So with that being said, just because it uses the same bands, doesn't mean that it will function properly on another carrier's network.
So, if you are having issues getting LTE, then you may be in an area that strictly uses Band 12 or there is a configuration issue somewhere. I would get with AT&T and hash out the configuration issue and AT&T will help you out if you bring an unlocked phone to their network. More often than not, it's an IMEI issue. Their IMEI to LTE database is very rigid and if I recall correctly only has the IMEIs for AT&T phones and no others. A bit closed minded in my opinion, but they won't change it.
Now, with all that being said, I want to make something perfectly clear. AT&T does not guarantee LTE service, even on their own phones. Though with the AT&T variation you will get LTE more often than the European variation. Doesn't seem like it would work that way, but that's why AT&T has their variation. It's been vetted by AT&T.

HTC M9+ on VZW 700 band LTE

Hey team, surely we can figure this out. I have an M8, rooted on VZW in the USA. I am going to buy an M9+ on amazon purely for fun. On PhoneArena, it specifies that it does recieve 700 band LTE, VZW's main LTE band. VZW owns the 700MHz Upper Block C (band 13) so I believe it will be compatible, just not with XLTE, which uses band 4 (1700MHz). Just looking for someone selling one or any tricks thanks!
Don't forget that Verizon is CDMA based while the M9+ is GSM only. Even if Verizon uses SIM cards for LTE & device might not work. Also note that LTE is only used for data, so even if it did work, you'll probably not get voice calls.

Thanks! That's a great point as well. My speculation is that the VoLTE for Verizon, which utilizes the 700 band. So maybe VoLTE would still work. I'm sure an M9/M8 Sense 7 rom port could work.. Verizon also is CDMA dominant but supports international GSM. So my dinners are crossed. Comments? Questions?

I would suggest that you cancel the order if you still can. Even if it does somehow support Vz 700 or AWS band, which I strongly doubt, you won't be able to make calls since Vz use CDMA for that. M9+ probably doesn't support VoLTE either so you end up with a 5.2 inch tablet at best.

AWS should work. I route most my calling over Wi-Fi/data anyways. If calling doesn't work, I am going to use the Project Fi sim from my Nexus 6. I'm on Wi-Fi literally almost everywhere. I wonder if anyone has thought of flashing the M9 dialer over to the M9+. I've edited my scripts and got VoLTE to work for my HTC M8 with something similar. Any dev suggestions?

Update
Got the M9+ today and it's stunning, of course. It's not surprising that it won't with Verizon, but it is a great phone. Still looking into Project Fi.
My VZW should allow you to connect to Verizon.. haha just the phone.
Will update with more info upon Fi-ing/root.

Is this with Vz SIM card?
Anyways, I don't think it works with any US LTE network. It probably picked up the 2100MHz downlink part of AWS in the network search. Since it lacks the 1700MHz uplink part, it can't really use it. You are better off switch to AT&T or TMO and use their 1900MHz 3G (HSDPA+, US carriers call it 4G) networks.

Its a Verizon sim out of my M8, currently active. I think it works on the LTE so it picks up the 4G network, but without the CDMA backbone it wont connect. Says it will work on any GSM network in the US, maybe flip it here in the states instead of selling it. Any root suggestions?

The official announced that only Redmi Note 2 Prime version will not be available untill September 8 at 10AM(GMT+8).
I guess because of the parade in China will be held at September 3. So they have 3-5 holidays which means the production line is down now...
But now, when buying China Mobile version, you can choose the color of back you like.
There's 5 color you can choose now! (White, Pink, Blue, Yellow, Dark Gray)

Don't worry about the band mode if you buying prime version, but if you choose China Mobile which is 799 RMB one, you have to flash the ROM for China Unicom and unlock the band mode in engineering mode. Or you can unlock the band mode in setting if you get the very first ROM for China Mobile.

I ordered 32 gb black model which is short everywhere ...
Does the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 support microSD card? And up to which storage capacity (32, 64, or 128 GB)?

It only supports 32GB. I had a Sandisk 64GB and I tried everything including formatting to FAT32 intead of exFAT and it just kept saying "corrupt" and would not mount at all.
I just purchased and installed a Kingston 32GB U-1 card for about $12 and it is now working fine, under storage is says 31.43 GB available. Time to fill it up with content!

Xiaomi officially announced that this device is only support 32 GB, but Chinese confirmed that it support up to 64GB as well. Btw, he is using Sandisk 64GB c10
But there's an SD card bug that you'll probably get "SD card is corrupt error"
Lots of people get this, but it is randomly... hope Xiaomi would fix this soon.

LTE will not work, but 3G should work fine, and 2G has at least one of the two bands covered. Take a look at the following page for info about the bands that AT&T uses:
http://www.prepaidphonenews.com/2014/09/what-phone-works-with-which-operator.html
Quoting from that page, "AT&T uses the 850Mhz and 1900 Mhz bands for GSM (voice), EDGE (2G) and UMTS (3G) data. In some markets they use both bands in others one or the other...For LTE AT&T uses bands 2 (1900), 4 (1700), 5 (850) and 17 (700). Band 17 is AT&T's primary LTE band. Bands 2, 4 and 5 are used in areas where AT&T doesn't own any band 17 spectrum and also in combination with band 17 in urban areas to increase capacity and speeds."
The RN2 has 3G WCDMA coverage on 850 and 1900 MHz--great! But no LTE frequencies coincide. GSM voice and EDGE 2G are partially covered by 1900 MHz (and not 850), but my understanding is that much of AT&T's voice service actually goes over 3G nowadays anyway. So if you get decent 3G reception, that should make up for GSM/2G coverage missing 850 MHz.
If somebody knows more, I am happy to hear about it! But I have ordered this model for myself via GearBest (currently on presale for US$180 with coupon code "GloudsGB32"), and plan on using it with an AT&T mvno, too.
