3 UK Stock ROM - One (M7) General

Does anyone know where I could get the stock ROM for a 3 UK handset? They are replacing the handset on Tuesday and I need to restore it to stock. Foolishly, I never did a nandroid of the original ROM. Thanks.

Original Telus HTC Hero ROM Image???

Guys,
I am interested in rooting my Telus Hero, but I am wanting to know if there is an original ROM image available for the Telus variant so that I can restore the phone to factory configuration if I need to. I mainly want to do this to install the Google Turn-By-Turn Navigation on it.
Thanks,
Y2J
just do a nandroid backup of your telus rom before flashing...
In order to do a Nandroid backup I have to root the phone first correct? If this is the case, then there is no way to unroot the phone to it's default out of box state, correct?
Thanks,
Y2J
Not quite correct, but close enough so as not to matter.
You don't need to be rooted to run Nandroid, but you do need to boot a custom recovery image. On earlier stock ROMs, it was possible to boot a recovery image without flashing it do the device, but this probably isn't an option for you since I guess the Telus Hero has the new SPL which disallows this.
What you really need is an original Telus RUU, but I'm not aware if this publicly exists.
Regards,
Dave
That's correct, there's no public Telus RUU.
If you really want a Telus stock ROM to revert to, wait till the eclair update comes out.
@y2jdmbfan
I was in the same boat as you. Wanted to use custom ROM but always wanted to have to option to go back to stock Telus ROM. I lasted a little over a month and bit the bullet. To be honest, if you are comfortable with customs roms and general phone hacking then I don't think there's a need to wait. There are some good stable custom roms out there and I don't see a need to ever go back to stock Telus (unless you need warranty work perhaps? but not sure).
I may bite the bullet tonight and try it out. I am using mine on AT&T in the USA anyways, so warranty work is out of the question.
To be honest, if you've flashed a custom ROM and you phone does go wrong, in order to get it back to stock your phone would need function to such an extent that you could load an RUU on to it - if it was completely dead or the USB died, it wouldn't matter if you had an RUU because you wouldn't be able to install it anyway.
Regards,
Dave

Just do it.
I have mine running on Rooted 2.73.405.66
Everything stock except it was rooted. Works great.
Hey, how did you root it on the stock?
Did you need to downgrade RUU?
I know I had too... could you make a ROM for all the people that want the stock..
If you want to go back to Telus 2.1 here's the link to the rom:

Thanks.

So I guess I don't need to get ENG-OFF unless I decide to use a different radio, or it is a better to do it anyway?

Don't really understand what your trying to say! I would recommend, as Kali himself does, flashing one of the newer radios as they all seem to improve battery life, the most recommended one is Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2_SF although I am currently running Radio_12.28g.60.140f_26.05.05.27_M3
which seems fine to me.

You'll need ENG h-boot if something goes awry in the flashing as it allows you to issue fastboot commands which can save a potentially bricked phone, plus it is the only way you can currently flash the new radio

thanks for your advice
would the efficiency of the radio varies from phone to phone or network to network?
since I am doing this whole process slate clean, which order would u recommend I install them in? roms, radio, kernel?
well, i'd definately do the rom last, as you would probably have to reinstall it after patching a new radio anyway.
Just flashed Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2_SF.
So it doesn't matter if I flash the kernel or the rom first right?

Back to stock ROM?

Hey guys,
Okay so at moment I'm running a ROM from XDA but if I can I would like to return to stock ROM that came with my phone and get it back to normle, is this possible and if yes is there any guides how to do it?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
I'm assuming you have an Ace model, you go here (http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Ace) and find the one that matches yours, download and run the .exe - It will tell you all you need to do.
Hey okay I gone to link, I want the lastest update there, my phone is HTC desire Hd I don't know which ROM it is though. Also these roms there full stock ones that ship with phone?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Yes. Thats why it's called Shipped ROMs. It's just different versions.
Right so if I install one of these stock roms my phone will still be rooted and stuff wouldn't it? So it wouldn't be in the orginal state

They return to stock completely, no root. I don't know if it sets R-ON, but I'd assume so.

I have to go back to the stock rom, too. Thats because I killed my Headphone Jack and want it to send it to HTC for warranty.
Is this .exe settig everything back to stock settings (delete ClockworkModRecovery, unroot the phone, installing standard Radio and set Radio s-On and ENG s-ON) ?
I found out, that i orginally had 1.32.405.6 BB 12.28b.60.14eU_26.03.02.26_M installed, but the site with the link above has only RUU_Ace_HTC_WWE_1.32.405.6_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155891_sig
ned.exe to download.

Stock firmware from Singapore?

Well, just bought my 6800 from ebay, this seller:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/280803711139?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Then I flashed another a custom rom (this one) and now I'm in a boot loop (com.android.phone FC).
It's from Singapore. Can't tell which is the Stock ROM for it in the Development section. Which one is it?
Seems to be the MM1...hope so.
One of my tabs is a pre-release version and I got that same error when I flashed the same ROM. I honestly think that dev is stabbing around in the dark a bit.
I hope you made a Nandroid backup before you started tinkering around with new ROMs....
Nope, no nandroid backup. Completely forgot that.
Im so stupid...still waiting on another rom to download, hope it wont brick it.
