Back to stock ROM? - Desire HD General

Hey guys,
Okay so at moment I'm running a ROM from XDA but if I can I would like to return to stock ROM that came with my phone and get it back to normle, is this possible and if yes is there any guides how to do it?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App

I'm assuming you have an Ace model, you go here (http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Ace) and find the one that matches yours, download and run the .exe - It will tell you all you need to do.

Hey okay I gone to link, I want the lastest update there, my phone is HTC desire Hd I don't know which ROM it is though. Also these roms there full stock ones that ship with phone?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App

Yes. Thats why it's called Shipped ROMs. It's just different versions.

Right so if I install one of these stock roms my phone will still be rooted and stuff wouldn't it? So it wouldn't be in the orginal state

They return to stock completely, no root. I don't know if it sets R-ON, but I'd assume so.

Why would you ever return to stock rom, try the one in my signature, all stock expect performance and battery life.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App

Well yes but I want to because I need to send my phone to HTC for volume rocker fix. That link above to stock roms I do not know which one it is, any idea?

Guys..
I also want to Roll Back To Stock ROM..
AM a Noob in Droid.. As i am an IOS user Droid is Kinda new to me..
I got this DHD at an killer Price with Warranty.. But a Small Prob is tat the Volume Rocker is kinda Lose at the bottom, so i am planning to get it Replaced via warranty..
The Seller didnt Provide me an SD card with it..
and he also Rooted and install custom 2.3.3 Remix 3D rom 1.9 in it.. I want to get it back into Stock ROM. So that i can claim my warranty..
Btw am From India, so i need the Stock ROM of DHD which ships to India..
Am not using that Phone as an Primary Mobile, Just For Music, Videos and FB and Ebuddy etc etc via wifi.. So for me Stock ROM would be better..
So kindly help me Guys..
And which 1 would be better for me? Am downloading the Last one in that Link..
Am noob in this Guys.. Pls help me out.. Point me out to the Correct File pls...

Hi,
I have to go back to the stock rom, too. Thats because I killed my Headphone Jack and want it to send it to HTC for warranty.
Is this .exe settig everything back to stock settings (delete ClockworkModRecovery, unroot the phone, installing standard Radio and set Radio s-On and ENG s-ON) ?
I found out, that i orginally had 1.32.405.6 BB 12.28b.60.14eU_26.03.02.26_M installed, but the site with the link above has only RUU_Ace_HTC_WWE_1.32.405.6_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155891_sig
ned.exe to download.
Is there any Difference, or is it visible for HTC?

1st I Had this Baseband in my DHD with Remix 3d Rom
12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M
So i downloaded ( RUU_Ace_HTC_WWE_1.32.405.6_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155891_signed.exe ) and Run The Exe and flashed it back to 2.2 Froyo.. It all Went Fine and it boot up Fine too...
After that i downloaded ( RUU_Ace_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.50.405.2_Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2_release_199042_signed.exe )
and flashed it again and Now in Stock 2.3.3 Gingerbread ROM.. But The Sense is 2.1 only Not 3.0..
Waiting for the Sense Update...

As far as I know, so far Sense 3.0 only ships with the HTC Sensation. Sense 2.1 is the correct version for your stock HTC DHD Rom, you shouldn't worry

So this back to stock ROM, does this return everything back to normle so un roots, radio on. All that?

Just check what software version it's running. 99% positive it'll be 2.1, in which case it can be rooted, incredibly easily, by following here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788776
Then if you want Froyo, flash either WildFire or Puzzle. Or wait a bit for CyanogenMod.
say if i install this unrootable official froyo ROM (RUU_Buzz_Froyo_HTCCN_CHS_2.10.1400.3_Radio_13.53.5 5.24H_3.35.19.25_release_151119_signed.exe) and will I be able to install the custom ROMs available later ???

Don't really understand what your trying to say! I would recommend, as Kali himself does, flashing one of the newer radios as they all seem to improve battery life, the most recommended one is Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2_SF although I am currently running Radio_12.28g.60.140f_26.05.05.27_M3
which seems fine to me.

You'll need ENG h-boot if something goes awry in the flashing as it allows you to issue fastboot commands which can save a potentially bricked phone, plus it is the only way you can currently flash the new radio

thanks for your advice
would the efficiency of the radio varies from phone to phone or network to network?
since I am doing this whole process slate clean, which order would u recommend I install them in? roms, radio, kernel?
well, i'd definately do the rom last, as you would probably have to reinstall it after patching a new radio anyway.
Just flashed Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2_SF.
So it doesn't matter if I flash the kernel or the rom first right?

Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
maybe released tomorrow during their conference
this an amazing update by HTC it really transforms the whole phone, their only one bug I could find which is the badly rendered friends stream widget, and one pixel misalignment in the music sound enhancement, but really amazing work from HTC the new gallery rendering is super clean and smooth, the new lockscreen is really something, i hope they pattened it before Apple steals it
It will remove ENG S-OFF, but it will not touch Radio S-OFF. If somebody wants to try that RUU, it is recommended to have Radio S-OFF because then it is easy to go back to another ROM.

Hello
would you please give me the download link of this rom
you can find it here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1268384
Just today i had installed the leaked PD98IMG file of the 3.06.405.2 firmware.
Beforehand i had installed the official 2.50.405.1 RUU and then I installed the upgrade by the recovery.
Well, I was very surprised to find out it was rooted and it still had s-off.
Does anybdy know if installing this RUU I would lose root and s-off?
Sense 3.0? HTC are awesome if they're bringing this to the HD officially
So can I flash this on unrooted device
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
I suppose so. Let us know of it works. I would gladly do it of not for the fact that I have already installed this ROM by PD98IMG through recovery.
I wonder if there are differences...
Sent from my HTC Desire HD A9191 using XDA App
the only issue i have with it is that the picture on the RUU is of a tablet!? dont really fancy bricking my phone
i was more looking if this was easy way to upgrate /downgrade to gain root access. I really was scared to make the gold card etc...
So if some one had flashed the RUU wanted to see if that worked , especially when they were not rooted
I wanted to see if any one got pass the signature check, this failed for with Signature error.

New to HTC DHD ... BUT !!!

Hai guys ...
i purchased a new DHD 2 monthes ago ..
im considering rooting and installing a new ROM ..
BUT !!
It comes with android 2.3.3 , software no. is 2.37.707.3
can that be rooted or what ?
its my first android device ... still dont understand anything but everytime i search on google how to root it .. i find results on the ''froyo'' not gingerbread ...
i also need to backup the stock ROM in case i needed to re-install it ...
Any help ???
thank you ...
Please read the forum rules, use search first.
But it seems you are lazy ass
You must downgrade first to root (works for me months ago build ver. 2.37):

Use AAHK
You can use AAHK to root and get s-off in one step without manually downgrading first. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1259821

For those saying you have to downgrade you have no idea what you are talking about. Especially when you resort to name calling. The Advanced Ace Hack Kit does not require ROM downgrading. It only downgrades radio and kernal. It is the only currently supported method available. Others have been discontinued or do not work anymore.
