hello jaronstrypsteen,
i had difficulties when i first install aurora ics 4.03. i installed official gingerbread and rooted but i couldn't install custom recovery image. in pink screen i couldn't replace it. first i installed official GB beta rom, so i can replace recovery image,
then i installed CWM recovery 5.0.2.7, and with CWM i installed aurora ics.
if you have difficulties first install beta gingerbread rom.

I installed official GB 2.3.5 already.
And the recovery works its just the kernel.
Because of the kernel I cant install Miui/ Oxygen/ CM7/ Aurora ICS.
Thanks anyway
Dalvick cache -> You have wipe dalvick cache in CWM. Advanced > Wipe Dalvick cache > Yes/No.

You may try reflashing OTA1, OTA2, OTA3, and OTA4. Make sure to wipe cache partition and to reboot after reflashing each OTA.

If u don't reboot..mount system is necessary after each reboot..
Flash each update n mount system..then again flash..
Better if u start flashing from the beginning..that is the rom..

if you use Bootstrap
a.mounts and storage --> mount /system
b.wipe data/factory reset & wipe cache partition
c.install zip from sdcard -->choose zip from sdcard
As the one above me said
Reflash your Flipout with RSD Lite
In Recovery, wipe data/factory reset
Wipe Cache
Mounts and Storage --> mount /system
Flash the Rom, reboot and it should work ^^

Hello everyone. I like CREED V4 and tried installing final build but every time I end up with bootloops. Is this rom fail, or I am doing something wrong?
I followed this tutorial:
1. Flash stock DDLK2 rom as Xicor Yagami said in his thread
2. Boot into CWM recovery
3. Wipe data
4. Wipe cache
5. Wipe dalvik cache (just in case)
6. Wipe battery stats (just in case)
7. Flash CREED V4 rom
8. Reboot
If I am doing something wrong, tell me the right tutorial for installing
After flashing stock DDLK2,follow the steps:
1.Boot into CWM.
2.Under mounts and storage,format system,data and cache.
3.Go back and wipe data and cache.
4.Again go to mounts and storage and mount all the partitions (All should show unmount)
5.Install zip from zip sd card and choose Creed V4 rom file.
6.When the installation is completed,go back and wipe data, cache and dalvik cache.
7.Once done with above steps, reboot the phone!
This tutorial works for every rom.

Basically you should always flash a custom ROM on a stock one,
so flash a stock samsung ROM (make sure there is no secured bootloader etc...)
then wipe and install, i always do that :good:

if you followed your instructions the rom wont boot
you need to mount system data cache after you have wiped system data cache so it should be the following
wipe data
wipe system
wipe cache
mount data
mount system
mount cache
install zip from sd
select rom zip
restart
I mean the patch provided by carl dont flash it

you still need to mount system data cache after you have formatted it
you also need to be on a stock based kernel
9 time out of 10 if its not booting its due to user error
The only other thing that would stop it booting is an incompatible baseband but I assume you are on a recent one and therefore should have no problems
