hello jaronstrypsteen,
i had difficulties when i first install aurora ics 4.03. i installed official gingerbread and rooted but i couldn't install custom recovery image. in pink screen i couldn't replace it. first i installed official GB beta rom, so i can replace recovery image,
then i installed CWM recovery 5.0.2.7, and with CWM i installed aurora ics.
if you have difficulties first install beta gingerbread rom.

I installed official GB 2.3.5 already.
And the recovery works its just the kernel.
Because of the kernel I cant install Miui/ Oxygen/ CM7/ Aurora ICS.
Thanks anyway
Dalvick cache -> You have wipe dalvick cache in CWM. Advanced > Wipe Dalvick cache > Yes/No.

Just use 2ndinit1.4.2,select stable recovery and install wajkiui with "install zip from sdcard". it will do it without problem.
If it gets bootloop just wipe data and cache.

EDIT: IT WORKS .... Yahoooooooooo
Good news!
I have successfully rooted my DEFY+ (BL7, build 4.5.1-134_DFP-231) using this post
I got root and have the 2nd-init apk in my phone. I installed the stable for Cm version of bootloader, and tried to install CM7.2 nightly from 27th Jan (here). but after reboot, it went to a bootloop.
For now, I have reflashed the original sfbs in the first link and restored to stock.
Now, can anyone detail me the steps from installing the 2nd-init to geting the CM7.2 live on my phone please..
PS: I don't mind buying a beer or two for the help
Try flashing cm72-20120506-NIGHTLY-Defy+.zip by Quarx. Just root your phone again, install 2nd-init 2.0, chose LATEST and then flash the above build, without flashing kernels. Remember to wipe data/cache and dalvik cache before flashing CM7.2 and cache and dalvik after that.
Thanks Auris! I am already rooted now. So below are the steps I should take: ?
1. Install 2nd-init. Choose latest.
2. Reboot, it will go to 2nd-init menu.
3. Choose recovery--custom recovery
4. Wipe data, cache & dalvik cache
5. Install the Quarx Build you linked
6. Install Gapps
7. Wipe Cache & Dalvik cache
8. Reboot
9. In 2nd-init menu, choose 2nd-init boot
Is that all? Please let me know if I missed anything

Hello everyone. I like CREED V4 and tried installing final build but every time I end up with bootloops. Is this rom fail, or I am doing something wrong?
I followed this tutorial:
1. Flash stock DDLK2 rom as Xicor Yagami said in his thread
2. Boot into CWM recovery
3. Wipe data
4. Wipe cache
5. Wipe dalvik cache (just in case)
6. Wipe battery stats (just in case)
7. Flash CREED V4 rom
8. Reboot
If I am doing something wrong, tell me the right tutorial for installing
After flashing stock DDLK2,follow the steps:
1.Boot into CWM.
2.Under mounts and storage,format system,data and cache.
3.Go back and wipe data and cache.
4.Again go to mounts and storage and mount all the partitions (All should show unmount)
5.Install zip from zip sd card and choose Creed V4 rom file.
6.When the installation is completed,go back and wipe data, cache and dalvik cache.
7.Once done with above steps, reboot the phone!
This tutorial works for every rom.
