Help please phone is bugging out!

I installed the market version of OCLF (one click lag fix)... And I noticed a huge change in quality of phone conversations.. so I unrooted an undid the lag fix and undid the ext2 files or something silmilar that its called... Did all of that with that OCLF app.. Then I went to privacy settings in the phone and did factory data reset.... Now I noticed my phone buggs out like 3 or 4 times a day saying "sim card removed...reboot phone" due to this I'm missing a lot of calls...
I'm a newb... So is it possible that OCLF app messed up my phone by moving system folders around from interior storage to sd then back to internal when I was uninstalling everything?
Also I noticed I still have the update.zip on my phone's memory, is the stock phone suppose to have that update.zip file or I can safely remove it?
Any way to fix this sim card problem that I started to receive out of no where?
Thank You in advance for any tips or advice

48GB for 24mo. on Dropbox for stock JB All Share storage sync.

The new all share app in stock JB rom has option to sync your account with an online storage. use that to sync with your drop box account you will be giving 48GB for 24month. Here is the mail i got from dropbox after sync up. Took 4hr for the email to pop in my mail box.
I am on leak JB rom, don't have the time to mess around right now, but if some one can extract that out and post it somewhere, maybe people can use it on other roms too.
Here is the email i got
Hi xxxx,
Congrats on becoming a Dropbox Guru! We've awarded you 48 GB of bonus space for the next 24 months! You now have 55.88 GB on Dropbox. To get even more space, check out our upgrade options.
Thanks again for supercharging your Samsung device with Dropbox!

YMMV, but worth a try. Good luck
Just install any leaked jb rom and your Dropbox will get upgraded to 48 GB more for two years. You can flash back other rom after doing so.

Yep thats what I did. Just install JB and flash Dropbox and an email showed up...
I recieved this email about 10mins after registering dropbox with my allshare service.
Please note, you must complete atleast 5 of the 7 steps of 'getting started' to claim the extra 48gb of free space.

So you cannot see the word 'stock' ?
Can the apk for the new allshare app be used on a 4.04 based rom (LR9) with PhilZ kernel?
Alternatively, if I make a nandroid backup of my current setup, flash this and register with this rom's version of allshare, and then restore the nandroid backup, will it restore everything - kernel and all?
Thanks!

I wish it had been so easy. I made a android backup in tar format on my sdcard. Notified that it was successful. Proceeded to wipe the device, caches, etc... and then installed the leaked rom, got my Dropbox upgrade, booted back into recovery. When I went to restore, I was informed of an MD5 mismatch. I don't know if this is related to different versions of Cwm (6.0. 1.2 vs. 6.0.1.4) but I am now facing a clean install.
Is there any safe way around the MD5 mismatch?
This is what I get for greed. Bad karma.

Well, seeing as my HTC promo upgrade has recently expired for my dropbox account I can answer that one.
No - you will still remain on the free account (or whatever paid level you were at previously) - except you will be blocked from adding more files until you free up enough space until you return to the pre-promo level. So if you were on the free 2gb account before, you will need to remove 48gb worth of files from your account before you can upload files again.
All of your files will be safe and accessible in the meantime - not to mention that you will have an offline copy in your dropbox folder.
Who cares about completing 7 steps. Its better to use sd card. I don't see any use as dropbox is not like sd card, where you first upload than downlod.its time consuming process.

Could somebody help me with this? Is there any way of salvaging the nandroid backup image made to my external storage? I suspect it is messed up because of the way this rom sees the external sd card. I'd love to be able to restore back to LR9 without reinstalling. Thanks.

I've gotten to the point where I assume the backup won't work... Fortunately, I have streamlined the things I put on the phone and a bunch of other apps I would normally have put on the phone are on my tablet. Makes clean wipes and reinstalls much faster.
I already did this, can I just keep reflashing it and doing it with different emails on a secondary rom? I have Omega v33.1 and Paranoid 2.54 with Siyah 1.7rc3.

I doubt..AFAIK, you will get the promo only once for a device..I mean, it will be definitely recording your device's IMEI etc etc..so by flashing another ROM, you may not get the promo again..I haven't tested this personally though..

[Q] TiBa WiFi Access Points XML backup fails.

Please help me out here. With Titanium Backup everything backs up except my Wifi Access Points XML. If fails every time through running from batch.
Also tried from the menu 'Special Backup' > 'Backup data to XML' and TiBa crashes.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm rooted with superSU v1.3, Stock recovery, kernel and rom, TiBa pro and up to date. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't worry too much, TiBu should back it up in binary as well... at least mine does. During a restore it gives you the option to use the XML or Binary backup.

Thanks. Is there anyway to confirm a binary backup? Do you possibly know the filename so I can look for it in my backup folder? I have alot of WiFi access points stored so i'd like to not have to ask everyone around town for the passwords again if I can avoid it.

Look inside TiBu under the Backup/Restore tab, and scrool down to Wifi Access Points. Your should have one that says XML to the right and one above it that says 101 (or binary)

Well I feel considerably noobish for not noticing that, though I was sorting the list by backup date so it wasn't right above. Thanks for pointing that out.
One more question if you know, will the binary backup restore on custom ROM's and even newer phones in the future? Or is the XML a safer route for such things, in which case I would need to figure out why it's broken. Thanks again.

no news here either... also hoping for a fix in the next update.
I've been having the same problem for a while now. I think it could very well be related to our phone's build.prop because just today, I did a full backup and it finally backed up my wifi access points. It even restored it with no problems..
Note: I made the backup on the 4.2.2 Odexed GE ROM and restored it on the 4.2.2 Deodexed Kangabean ROM.

Add me to the list of people getting an Error message when trying to back up the XML version of the Wi-Fi Access Points file. I never like getting error messages, so I hope there is a fix. Would be nice if there were an easy way to tell TiBu to ignore this file.
I am on CleanRom 1.65.

TiBa is at least backup up WiFi in a binary backup, which is fine as long as you stay on the same device. It may not restore on a different device though, hence why I want the XML to work!
I have the same problem. Currently no solution.

Same XML issue here - surprised TiBu has not fixed it yet...
Anyways, I have been simply backing up the data file itself.
from root: data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf is the file you want. Back that up to your computer or MicroSD and then use it to restore your wifi whenever necessary. Just overwrite the file. Can't remember if reboot is necessary afterwards but I don't think so.

Nice very clever. I tried restoring it just for kicks and it worked. I just dropped it in the folder, overwrote it, fixed permissions, then rebooted. Worked great. Nice.
On the other hand, I do hope that the Titanium team does fix this soon. It must have something to do with this device because it worked fine until I switched to the S4 from the S3 and when I moved my backup folder over to my new device it wouldn't restore.

Yeah...I was expecting the bug to be fixed in the latest update...but when I didn't see it in there, I kind of lost hope for it.
Odd since the Galaxy S4 is kind of a popular Android device you know...lol
Anyways, glad my method worked for you. I never actually bothered fixing permissions and haven't had any issues thus far.

[Q] Can I root S4 without wiping data?

I really dont want to have to backup all my contacts text messages and what not and have to re-sync all of my data. So is there a way to root it without wiping all my data or is that impossible? Thanks.

This doesn't format your ROM it uses your sdcard to install root So you will have to wipe your sdcard. So any pictures or other items on it you will loose when you format it.

And why are you rooting?
Can I Root without "Wipe," to recover accidentally deleted photos?
I'm on NC1.
I need to "Root" without wiping the Internal Memory.
I was using Internal Memory for photos and in a state of stupor (I assume), deleted a folder I thought I moved to my PC.
So the files are now deleted. I want to use one of the many recovery tools but thus far, all that I can find require "Root" access.
BTW: As an aside, does anyone else experience issues with copying too/from Internal Memory to a PC and the files seemingly go, or at least them are visible in Explorer, but then after disconnecting the phone, when you look for them, they are not there?

Only games heh ...
First question you had app like app to sd on ROM from backup was taken ?
Second question those apps was moved (partialy) to sd via settings in ROM ?
Third question hardly connected to aboves - you switched USB modes ? (UMS <-> MTP) ?
Your kernel is ?
There is a lot of chance that backup was corrupted via 3 first aboves q.

If I change USB modes and restore my app again, there are any chance to get back.
Untill now I found only this app, maybe there are another.
ps: I used titanium backup.
In my opinion there is nothing wrong with ROM, but probably backup was corrupted by something ;D Im not on this ****ty sammy MGA+ ROMS with new knox, so I can be wrong !.
If I'm correct then there is no hope ;P if not then logcat could be helpful.
You can check if backup itself is corrupted. Send this one app backup (titanium backup folder -> app + app data zip) that doesn't work to some friend with android or (if you are not afraid of public way) here to test it on another ROM (you can back to your previous ROM and test it by-self but that will be HARDCORE ! )

I uninstalled broken aps, reinstalled, test and after restore a old backup (two month ago, that I'm sure was working).
Nothing, after restore I had app broken.
I'm pretty sure that is a firmware problem...
You are right !
Rom with knox changed the way of keeping data of apps, so backups will fail.
Creators of apps like Titanium Backup can in near future implement changes for knox ROMs, but I will not bet on this
