Hey guys, i have a noob question. My nexus is running pa and motley kernel, it has 21.000 score in antutu benchmark but only has 5.800 on quadrant. Why?

Pay no attention to benchmarks, as long as you're happy with how your phone's running you're golden.
I'm sure half of them run a very thorough test, then just discard that and run a random number generator.
The only benchmark you should rely on is your own mind...

This is still laughable to me. Still, quadrant was updated to work well with ICS. This is my score with cm7 gingerbread @1.440 ghz. Why am I above a galaxy nexus? Hmm..

My result with CM9 v2.1, T132-ICS-CM9 Kernel and CPU set to 200-1000 MHz, ondemand: 2257.
Of course the NS can't mess with an GN, but i'm still impressed how much performance you can gain with custom-roms and -kernels.
I'm running gingerbread deck and the matrix kernel with an overclock to 1.2...(not live oc) and got a score of sound 2966. Hopefully the official 4G build gets ics performance up a little more. I find it hard to believe my device on GB out preforms a galaxy nexus by so much...
Lol nice update like how they slapped a galaxy tab score with io hack at top to make this crap look legit.
At least now you can distinguish actual hardware scores from IO.and supports dualcore.
about the only legit thing to go by in this benchmark is the CPU
anyways enough *****ing
here is my score without any io minpluation
on Eugen's speedy 7 1.44/performance/SIO/65FPS refresh
How are you guys viewing your results? Mine tells me that the next update will include the result browser due to different scores in this version?
you have to except the new shady test result message at the end of the test
im sorry, i really couldnt resist. the sight of this thread to me was like a cat sensing catnip
a cm9 kang with trinity t144, at 1.44ghz
Use to get 3000... sad times....
Nexus S (GSM i9020a)
CM9 Kang (Build 6 of 2.1)
Eugene's Kernel (Speedy-7)
OC 800/100 (conservative)

even gpu score is whacked considering GN has same sgx540 with a higher clock
yet the stock NS GPU scores higher

Why do people just want to number crunch benchmarks? They really mean nothing.... The best benchmark test is how it works in real life, is the OS smooth, do the apps work well on it, any lag at all... That is the best benchmark. Christ, my old HTC desire nearly had the same scores as the stock sensation according to BM scores, in real life however is was lagging like a pig stuck in mud. Lol

There is no need to check if its true because its not.
Its probably just detected that one of the cores was turned off at the time.

Quadrant is normal. Antutu definitely looks too low. Are you using anything like setcpu or any power saving apps?

Are you triple core guys using siyah kernel? I use System Panel to monitor my phone and it only shows three active cores. Till now I didn't put much into it though, thinking that it's just because there wasn't enough load to start the fourth core. But maybe there is an issue after all?

hello
well i used to have very random scores varying from 5000 to 12000
yesterday i ran the test and got 12064 but when checking it says dual-core armv7 processor(vf9v3, neon)
also i have another question regarding the processor, shouldnt it be arm v9 ???
I don't know if something with the kerner so I tried to install a new kernel, I've been trying many kernels and still the problem... Someone can help me?

I suggest chainfire method. It's very effective in trouble shooting benchmark performance.
However, if you put any trust in Quadrant scores you could use them to prove that dancing naked for 5 minutes in your garden affects device performance

phone feels buttery without any lag? thats good enough for me, i dont need a benchmark to prove that my phone runs faster.
this thread isnt about bragging benchmark results that absolutely mean nothing.

Hi, my N4 is getting poor benchmarks especially in Antutu....the weird thing is that i'm getting the poor resaults only
in CPU & RAM tests, while in GPU, I/O, SD test are good. in CPU i'm getting ~2000 insted of ~7000
and in RAM i'm getting ~1200 instead of ~2400.... what's wrong with my N4????
i'm on RootBox rom and Matr1x kernel.
see Attached File.
AW: N4 gets poor benchmarks!
Are you on a stock rom? If not, then it may be the kernels fault. I remember when a friend of mine flashed bricked kernel and got scores bader then my galaxy s he flashed back immediately, but while using it (he used it for about a day with a bad kernel) he did not noticed Any difference... When you are on stock, look for apps that run in background and use much CPU time or/and ram.
i think maybe my N4 is using 1 or 2 cores... but it's not explaining the RAM...
i'm on RootBox rom and Matr1x kernel....and i already tried Franco and Bricked and no difference .... so which kernel is the best???
Stock ROM I'm on, I get 17750 so just under the reported benchmark.
I think you've messed with something haven't ya
Benchmarks mean nothing.

if you want a great antutu score, get steve PUB aokp rom, it gets 22000
Do not rely on benchmarks. They can be deceiving. If everything you're doing from heavy gaming to basic stuff and the phone is perfectly fine, then the benchmarks are bs.

Please can you explain to me why people are obsessed by numbers ?
Does your phone bug? Does it react in more than one second ? If you have the same phone as me, certainly not.
So why care about benchmarks ?

I think it's more of a test to see what's wrong with the phone. If everyone got 20k and a random selection of people got half that you wouldn't be wondering what is wrong?

How in the world are these d802s putting up 37000+ benchmarks scores in antutu? The fastest I have gotten is about 34000 on Mahdi ROM. To be number 1 is really great I wonder what are they doing to push out that extra juice. To be just as powerful as the Note 3 is impressive.

its the kernels
they overclock the snapdragon 800.
Thermal mitigation. Put your phone in the freezer (or outside) for half an hour and run the test. There's all kinds of things you can do to increase the score. Haven't seen a 40k score yet...

Usually the benchmark heats up the device enough to start thermal throttling part way through. Throw it in the fridge to chill it down enough that it wont throttle down.
actually its stock unovercocked that are kicking ass.

those svores are nuthing but scores though, it doesnt translate to added advantage other then score
