Whenever I try flashing a Windows Phone 7 rom to my HD2, i always get an error when it is about 3/4 of the way through flashing 4 partition. This is the error

I tried it with both MAGLDR v1.12 and 1.13 and switched SD cards multiple times. I tried switching computers as well as cords. I even tried flashing and older version of LEO70 that I am positive worked months ago. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hi
WHat have you done so far and what have you come from?
I assume youve, hdpsl, radio, magldr then attempt to flash the rom?
What size cards have you tried?
Well I've flashed multiple MAGLDRs, i have a 2gb Micro SD card that works and a 16gb card that I believe is corrupted, but i'm getting the same result from both cards so I don't know if the issue is the MicroSD card.
I'm pretty sure i have the correct HSPL and radio because I flashed the original LEO70 rom way back in January and haven't really modified anything since then. I did load Android on the NAND, but I should think flashing the same exact LEO70 rom with the same laptop should work? So I don't think the HSPL or radio are the issues either.
Thanks for the quick response!
did you reformat your card before flashing wp7?
I'm trying that now... I just flashed a WMO 6.5 ROM and it works perfectly. My computer recognized the 200mb partition on both the cards but is having a hard time formatting the 16gb card (which is most likely corrupted). Is a 2gb SD card enough for WP7?

Yh it is barely, i had an old class 4 one, but it was pretty slow.
It would tell you its the card though, although i suspect it is the partition that is the problem.
It worked!
Formatting the SD card worked! I went on the SD card website and downloaded a designated SDFormatter to fix the 16gb card, and thats what i'm using in it now. Thanks for the help!

Received my micro sd card through post today, so tried flashing a wp7.5 rom.
I get the same issue, and when the rom actually boots up it says sd card missing.
Now it's definately not the micro sd cards fault as before flashing the rom I formatted it, and it's absolutely new, class 4 4gb.
I've got the right version of radio and hspl..
What've I done wrong? I've tried flashing both HD2O© v2.00b5 WP7 TANGO 8773 and HD2 Pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.5 Tango 7.10.8773.98 v7.9
Can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong? Because I've had a fully functioning android 2.3.7 cm 7.2 rom on the device and that ran faultlessly.
Regards,
Edit: I did 10. Services, 4. UseLast24NAND
* 10. Services, 5. ClearSD MDR
and it's now working!

Hi mate try doing this on MAGLDR, go to Services, then click option 4. UseLast24NAND press yes
Then click on option 10 again, Services then option 5. ClearSD MDR.
After doing both those steps go onto usbflasher and flash the rom you wish.
Worked a charm for me.

lol thought so, I think op's of rom threads should make it a little more clearer on the instructions part, as we've both realised it's so easy to miss the part out and **** up the entire installation.

Still not flashing
I tried everything above and it still refused to flash. I even started again from the beginning and it still didn't work. I formated the SD with SD formater, then I installed HSPL, I installed the Radio rom, wiped (task29), installed MAGLDR, went to 10. services, clicked option 4. UseLast24NAND press yes then clicked on option 10 again, Services then option 5. ClearSD MDR and finally, I flashed the Win 7.8 Rom.
Still got the message in the original post.

Installed the ROM [SENSE3.0] Pyramid HTC WWE 1.35.401.1 - Real 3D [V2.0][RAF 1.9GB] on HTC HD2
Normal flight. But.
I can not install any applications. As the market begins to download nothing happens. Start downloading and zero traffic. Internal HDD full? How to clean it? Maybe there were remnants of the previous one firmware and software? All wipes done before installation.
Thank you.

What CWR partition size are you using?
I currently have a TMOUS HD2 and I am using the EU version. I prefer to use the ext-partition and have not had any problems with low memory. If you are using the TMOUS version, make sure you are using a 5/240/5 minimum CWR partition and you should have no memory issues. I would try to do a clean install again (wipe data, cache, system, dalvik cache)
Not to doubt you but are you sure you have a TMOUS version (LEO 1024) of the HD2 and not the EU version (LEO 512)?

Correct me where I am wrong.
1. Format SD card.
2. Create EXT3(1024mB)
3. Install ROM.
I got T-mobile HD2 buyed in USA. How can I proof my HTC?
a work around may be that:since you have an sd-ext partition you can also flash eu rom. so your apps automatically go to ext part.
or try this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1185087
Guys, I'm in a deadlock.
1. Fofmated SD card.
2. Created Ext on SD card.
3. Install ROM.
After first boot mesage - "Memory of your phone is full. Do you want to clean cash?"
Pressing YES.
Move to SD card
After mesage - "Nothing to move"

Ok so the problem im having is when i install an android rom (tried 5 different ones) the phone (EU LEO) suffers from random freezes which then either needs a manual reboot (battery out and in again) or reboots itself! :S The wierd thing is that if i flash WP7 to the phone it works like a charm! Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks, Ben
Edit: Tried a task 29, no luck, could it be an sd card issue after WP7 formats it?

You could try another sd card.
If wiping data/cache/dalvik cache (task29) doesn't work.. There is not that much to say..
Our hd2's are getting older :/
Definitely need to format sd card. Wp7 completely changed partition layout and types. Since you are running a eu hd2 many roms also require a 1gb ext3 or 4 partition for the system to write properly or for a2sd support. One other thing is to check your radio, I know there is a wp7 radio for running windows 7 on hd2 and that is incompatible with android. If you have this radio, flash the latest stock radio and reinstall android
Thanks for the replys guys, tried the sd card didn't work now to try the new radio! Wish me luck!
Which radio do you guys suggest? I'm not sure which one to use!
Cheers
Did you try formatting and repartitioning your SD Card again?. A glitch in the partition will cause random reboots. Have you tried just running Android on SD on its own as normal?(no WP,no partition)...if the same builds you are trying now works fine without any partitions, then its definitely not your phone nor could it be your SD Card...still you might want to try a class 6 SD cars and see if that solves it
I unlocked the SD card after wp7 using the storage unlock tool, then I repartitioned it using CWM recovery. Would you recommended another method of doing this?

I don't have any clue what your actual question is supposed to mean, but if you can't install SD Android then it isn't anything to do with bad blocks. You need to give more information, such as which type of HD2 you have, what radio it has, do you have HSPL, what steps you've taken so far etc. Nobody can help without sufficient information.

I still don't quite understand what the actual issue is. Do ANY ROMs boot on your phone? The reason I ask is because you later contradict this original statement by saying something about A2SD moving your apps to the SD card.

A2SD does not install the ROM to NAND nor does it install NAND to SD. It install apps to your SD card, apps that you use on your phone.
NAND ROMs are flashed directly to your phone and completely remove Windows.
SD ROMS are ran from your SD card with your Windows still functioning when you want.

I have a hd2 too.
magldr 1.13 .... clockwormod 5.0.2.6 ... Nexushd2 ics 4.0.4 - rom... a2SD-Script ...
200mb nand-partition..5mb cache-partition.. 1 gb ext4-partition and 400 mb swap-partition
I installed my rom witht "hd2 toolkit 4.2.0.1", that can be downloaded here on "xda-developers".
With this tookit you can do followed things:
- Start with a "full wipe" called "task 29" (I think this "task 29" is necessary for your hd2, because of your problems and bad issues you are reporting)
- then partition your nand-memory (for first install i recommen 200mb nand an 40 mb cache - after you recognized that it works, you can reduce cashe to 10 or 5 mb)
- install magldr
- install clockworkmod recovery
- install your rom

in magldr set the sd card source folder to point to the /nativesd folder on the sd card, and set the default boot mode to ad sd. (yes, even though its booting from the ext partition, it finds the initial files in the folder on the sd fat32 partition).

And regarding the applications, do u want to install them on the sd-ext partition?

I suppose u can move them manually to the sd-card, or select the directory for installation as the sd-card ( i think this is done in the play store settings, i dont really remember ). But why do you want to install apps in the sd-card?
I suggest u make an ext partition of your sd card. WARNING!: this will wipe ur sd card clean, make a backup!.
The advantage of making a ext partition is that when u use roms with A2SD support, the ext partition on ur SD CARD acts as internal memory. So u have sort of increased ur internal memory
