So, is it possible to put a regular u800 digitizer on the pro?

Pretty much yeah. I even believe u8860 should match - they all have the same pinout.

I've just switched carriers from AT&T to tmobile and I really like the htc Vision. The aluminum trim has plenty of scuffs, but the screen is in perfect condition and I have replaced the spring so the device feels tight, and the earpiece so the sound is excellent. Phone is rooted and unlocked. Would anybody be interested in trading even?

Is the hardware identical? I need a new LCD for the verizon fascinate, but they're all ridiculous priced.
Can I take a US Cellular version's LCD or is there a difference in hardware?

Hello Folks
I have a Canadian bought Motorola XOOM MZ604 which has a slot for SIM Card, which I tried and doesnt work.
Can I flash any rom to make this 3G? can someone guide me to the appropriate thread
Welcome to xda.. im a canuck as well and have only had my MZ604 for a few weeks.from my understanding our units do not have the components rigged on the motherboard for 3G. Initial us versions when purchased at the start had to return there units months later to motorola for upgrade which took approx a week.I think we are stuck with just our wifi units as they are...Its still a great unit and can be connected to internet via bluetooth tethering as well as just wifi. Old Windows Mobile 6.5 Phones using wmwifirouter 2.0 Works great via bluetooth to connect to the internet... Hope this helps..
again welcome to xda..

Yeah the wifi xooms has a wifi only chip installed, it is physically soldered to the motherboard. Where as the 3g ones had a multi band chip installed then later got a micro pcie card installed for the lte.
You can do it... there is a walk thru but the chip its self is about 200-250$ USD. And a LOT of know how

I don't mean to hijack anyone's thread but along the same lines as the OP, what would happen if one were to swap out the motherboard for the WiFi Xoom with a 3G board? These days a working replacement board costs like $60 on eBay, I was wondering whether it's a possibility because the 3G board comes with the miniPCI 3G card and a set of antenna leads (I think) and the rest of the hardware looks identical.

I'm sure it is possible if you know what you are doing. A person would need to do more than just swap out the motherboard, not to mention, they would have make sure the chip works, if not the chip would cost over $200 to purchase, but why do all that? Just purchase the 3G version the price is fairly cheap.
Hello,
I am soon going to be replacing the digitizer on my Verizon Trophy (mine is scratched), and I was wondering if anyone knows if the digitizer and lcd from the GSM version will work on my cdma trophy?
From comparing photos they seem identical other than the GSM version saying "HTC" instead of Verizon on the top of the digitizer, and most of the ads I see say "Digitizer for HTC 7 Trophy Verizon" or something like that..
If anyone has used a gsm digitizer and lcd on their cdma trophy please let me know how it went.
I personally wouldn't mind it saying HTC instead of Verizon.. Just my .02

I tired like hell to get a hold of a GSM Trophy, to really see what the differences are. I know for a fact that the battery doors are different between the two of them (they look the same on the outside, but one snap-in hinge is different). As for the digitizer, I always guessed that they where basically the same, but I haven't replaced a SparkW's digitizer yet, so I couldn't tell you. :/
I have a v20 and I love it very much.
I bought refurb. screen is crap leaking and burned in spots. usb plug no longer holds the cable inside so I use a rubber band to keep it inside.
camera glass on rear broke out of the blue and then camera started getting messed up and now is hazy and doesnt even focus. thats physical.
what do I look for when buying used? what do I check?
after getting burnt by my g4 bootloop and the v20 quality issues, id like to find another v20 because it offers the swappable battery which is a HUUUUUGE benefit to me. I keep another battery in my wallet and swap while walking. I hardly connect mine through its charging port, also because its faulty.
if the v30 or 40, which are beautiful phones had swapping batteries, of course id get those.
I dont live in the US so prices for new are highish vs the US
Where do you live, if UK I would recommend the H918 T-Mobile version as it has all the needed LTE Bands for the UK and Europe.
I bought the Vs 995 Verizon phone and while it works well in UK it requires the APN to be set manually whereas the T-mobile version does it automatically on sim entry. Hope this is of some help.

Do not buy this cell phone, believe me it's full of factory failures, especially with the screen.
Mine only lasted me 8 months before this happened to me
