[REQUEST] Oxygen ROM for X8 - XPERIA X8 General

As we all know X8 has low RAM capacity and Oxygen roms, gb and ics, are one of the best roms for our device. Oxygen ROMs use less modifications thereby consuming less RAM. I have another device which is LG P350 and we already have unoffical oxygen roms, both gb and ics. There are a lot of free ram that you can play temple run even without swap.
So if there are developers out there, please try on compiling oxygen rom.

If you are making a request for something and someone is asking for the sources. MAYBE they are interested in helping you out, so instead of flaming them all over the place, you might consider working with them, and help get them what is needed in order to help YOU. Cleaned thread, and Closed

Kernels

Normally I swap Roms like a mad man but after a lot if experimenting I been on Cm7.1 Rc1 and I curious how do I know what kernels are compatible with what Roms some aren't to specific. I'm just trying to get the Max battery life I'f anyone knows a rom or a kernel that helps maximize that let me know ty. P.s sorry for noob question

the kernel will say cm7,aosp,sense,miu etc as well as which version of android it supports(froyo, gingerbread) your best bet is checking faux's cm7/aosp kernel thread in dev section, thederekjays kernel is also a winner and should be checked out.

There are only two kernels for our phone. Sense kernels and asop/cm7 kernels.
However, there are two different kernel version for asop .32 and. 35
The op will designate which it is and what it is used for. Just read carefully and you wont have a problem.

This is the NEW one and only AOSP TH3ORYROM, Fresh source, massive mods, tweaks, etc. Your will be able to flash MOD PACKs to Shift the ROMs experience to however you like it. The first MP will be BURN IGNITION PACK that will transform the ROM to BURN.
This is the new way to have the best, what you want, and how you want.
Enjoy GUYs!!!

DT.....I know wiping is recommended, but coming from ao5p 1.5 is it necessary? That and this seem similar.

I have done extensive tests on many kernels with my RAMdisk, Tiamat killed all of them in performance, battery life, and features.
There will be many alternative kernels to choose from.

Dammit! Just updated my backups of mono, burn, clean, and nonsense (and cm7)...more I get to do another one haha.
PS: having 6 roms updated is a pain! Torn between asop and sense.

DT, I haven't had enough coffee yet so this could be a dumb question. I've got three different versions of your AO5P ROMS with three different launchers backed up so I can switch whenever I want or need to.
If I'm understanding this correctly with this ROM it just makes things alot easier to switch?
Please dont hang me...
Will you update clean or release a new sense rom DT?

Does the StockApps Flash Pack in OP only apply for Burn themers?
Also, silly question, maybe, but is there a way to implement a Hibernate mode for this ROM?

[DISCUSSION] Android 2.3.5 for Stock: Better?

Lukenda has claimed at least twice that this particular version of Gingerbread (2.3.5) runs better on stock kernel... His opinion.
So, come on Lukenda, tell us more.
Anyone who has toyed with this version is more than welcomed to chime in.
One particular thing worth noticing is that no stable release of CyanogenMod is based around 2.3.5.
MiniCM7 2.0.7 is based on 2.3.5 and it's stable
yes i did and i based it on a long time of using them.
there is a stable 2.3.5 rease by nAa
,there are few minor bugs but i dont mind them.
try to use minicm7 2.0.7 and some 2.3.7
rom such as gdx.
make a comparison between those two and test battery speed in apps such as YouTube and internet browsers.
All games I have been able on 7 rom were playable on .5 rom.
Please test for your self and report.
Sent from my X8 using xda app-developers app
Let me repeat myself. there's no stable release of CyanogenMod based around 2.3.5: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/CyanogenMod_7_Changelog
Stable release, as in final release, as opposed to a nightly release or a release candidate.

*Sigh*
I was really hoping for something better than that. Your claim that the 2.3.5 is indeed better is totally unfounded.
The only thing you are left with after that kind of testing is that for your use MiniCM is better than other ROMs and the hypothesis that it might be because of the android version.
You could have at the very least get your hands on GingerDX v015 to test your claim.
And if anyone is interested in actual testing, a proper way would be to compare GingerDX v015 to GingerDX v016.
To take it a step further comparing XGin 5.4 to XGin 6.0 and kuyaDROID v3.2.175 to v.4.3.233 (which I think was the next available release) would be needed.
I still have the original nAa's GB (2.3.5 for stock kernel) rom, so if anybody is interested in testing that rom, i'll ask nAa if i could reupload it on MF if nobody finds a working link .

[Q]Defy rom development problems

PROBLUMS HAVE BEEN SOLVED BY KAYANT. THX FOR HIM
Problem comes here.
Some of my friends from our association including me want to develop roms based on AOKP or cm, and those development projects are based on STOCK kernel for it is less likely to crack and are much easier to test.
WHEN I dealt with 4.1.2, I made a mixture of it (mostly framework) with the older 4.1.1-stock kernel rom, and was finally able to boot on stock 2.3 kernel. (see my post on Defy General)
BUT HOW can I transplant/fix those 2NDBOOT ROMS to STOCK KERNEL without MAKING a 'mixture'? The method mentioned above is NOT able to make the latest 4.2 rom to boot.
ps. removing the custom kernel and change default bootmode into 2ndinit IS USELESS.

Hmm, 200 MB...I'll have to try it. Mine is 25% free on CM10 Cyanogen Quarx last build. But it depends on software you have on too, and backrounds, launcher and *stuff* esp for WiFi connections since Motocast mysteriously *died* on builds later than 0904..does Motocast run on this ROM?
