and besides, it looks pretty while benchmarking even with the major lag/freezes... .

what type of sd card u all using? because mine is class 10 of 32gb but cant get score like u all get for sd card reading and writing only half of what u all get.
i only get 3049 antutu benchmark 3.0.3.
Scores don't really matter.i find youtube videos play better with 4.5 fera stock kernel.they dont lag or buffer.on 3.6 they do.that's om my phone.the 4.5 kernel does get a lower benchmark score but performs better watching videos and playing games

@Antony & Prioxxx
Bro, above kernel and addon are Feravolt's work,
so. ... all credits goes to him.
I'm just re-pack it, so we can use Ferakernel V3.6 UB on Feralab V21 rom with the proper methode (at least for me).
Goodbye and, yeah have a nice day everybody
Best Regards
Keep 3.6 addon for ppl who prefer it
I just prefer 4.5 kernel

Hi!
It is normal to get 2769 in AnTuTu v3.0.3 with Feralab v21 UB without mods and 1.113 GHz?
The phone seems very fast and stable, but do not understand the result.
Thank you!

Hi bro, definitely this is normal.
But i have one question here :
Have you tried Ferakernel V3.6 UB before? , on any GB stock rom? such as Feralab V20?

Hello!
Then, I can breathe easy xD
Yes, I tried various combinations, both as DonutHD 2.3 UB and FeraLab v20 UB with Ferakernel 3.6. UB. Performance is excellent but a week of use, I began having reboots with FeraLab v20, did several wipes and factory resets but still the same. However are the best I've had (DonutHD and FLv20).
Now I'm testing the FeraLab v21 and now everything is very smooth and no reboots for now...
Thank you very much for your attention.
Greetings!

AnTuTu v3.2.2
AnTuTu 3.2.2 is now available from Google Play store.
It appears to be adding a 'considerably' higher 3D and slightly higher 2D graphics score now. CPU Integer scores drop slightly.
Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10i benchmarks running DoomKernel v6 and GB 2.3.3
I have the same build for over 6 months with only minor build.prop 'tweaks' and the odd bit of memory freed after culling system apps down to 95, so I'm not thinking this is anything much different about my build, but I am seeing approx 208 points extra in the score since AnTuTu v3.0.3 and most of that is coming from 2D and 3D graphics scores.
Just to be all white coat, beard and thick rim glasses, I did re-install AnTuTu v3.0.3 again and re-test. The results are still consistent with old scores where we see higher CPU integer score and lower 2D and 3D graphics scores with AnTuTu v3.0.3
My old AnTuTu v3.0.3 score was 3109 and my current re-tested AnTuTu v3.0.3 score is 3101 - 3124 so any increase in AnTuTu scores is a reflection of AnTuTu's new version 3.2.2 and not any changes in your build.
So with the AnTuTu v3.2.2 scores we should all be seeing approx 200 points improvement on our AnTuTu v3.0.3 scores before we even consider any improvements attributed to developer changes.
Mind you if I was a ROM developer I'd be happy my ROM increased by 200 points in an AnTuTu benchmark over 3 months, even when I'd done nothing, but smiled and waved.
All a bit of a giggle, but it's nice to see the XPERIA X10i going up in AnTuTu scores with the same ROM/Kernel build rather than going down.

As a separate update with regards to benchmarking, I see Futuremark has listed 02-APR-2013 for Android.
Futuremark 3DMark for Android
[Update] I see that 3DMark is not supported on the XPERIA X10i, I tried side loading and just get an error.

Know where I can get the older versions?
You know that Quadrant doesn´t show real speed of a phone?
I also get values like 3000 and above with some roms and still lagy
and scores below 2000 with others which are super smooth.
So I don´t care ´bout it.

im currently on ICSSGS 4.0.3 RC4.2 with semaphore 0.8.1
Antutu gives me 3100 without any overclocking
its weird how different those results sometimes are but i got no lag at all running on 1000MHz and a sweeeeet battery life as well
This one on glitch 14 v3
This one on devil's kernel best thing is that cpu score is worse than one on 1610MHz :what:
My new max score:
my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
I'm on CM9 build 16 with semaphore 0.8.1 OC at 1150MHz this are my results :
So far i've only used basic overclocking on ICSSGS RC4.2 with Devil 1.1 CFS LED2 kernel. The rom works just amazingly and is super fast. I've not really tried to live oc this much because i need to manually set more voltages because the default ones crashes the phone. But i can say for example gta3 works fine with this rom without any serious issues and not many roms on sgs that game works even with oc...
i just now need to try and get the battery to live long and maybe after that i am trying to figure out how to enlarge my virtual penis with benchmark records
antutu is 3677 with oc'd to 1,4 ghz and quadrant is 1557.

Hi everyone I am currently running the NXT LE rom v1.3. I have tried various other roms but I find that this is the best one so far. Can you guys compare various roms and see which is better for gaming and performance, Jelly Bean (with new adreno drivers) or Gingerbread. Thanks
Every one list:
Kernel
Rom
Take Antutu Benchmark of your rom
from my experience, gingerbread is still the best android version for the xperia play
NXT LE with gin2jb theme,
Latest doomlord gb kernel
At 1017 Mhz
Score: 4288
Thinks too that a modified gingerbread is still the best choice for my Play. I saw that some guys got a bit higher Benchmark score on JellyBean but that doesn't mean that it is better for gaming. I really wish that more devs would pay more attention to GB.
Doomkernel v.14

Let's start showing from numbers from Nenamark 2, since it's purely gaming you guys want. When you're done, just delete/wtv.

WOW!!!! Your scores are much higher than mine and "aitmanga"'s scores. So I guess JB is much better for gaming, right?
Now I'm quite skeptical about that methodology. x2 more fps? I don't think so.
Anyone have any other idea on test methods? Antutu and quadrant scores aren't really useful unless you state the graphics score breakdown.
Edit: updated previous post with antutu for what it's worth.
I installed the SlimBean rom and tried Gta 3, it is no where as smooth as the nxt light rom ive been using, but the benchmark is like 29!!! Which is more than double my score on nxt light, but in real life performance JB is not as good as GB!! Even though the benchmarks show that it is
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Well, some games are bottlenecked by the GPU and others by the CPU. There's no general rule like 'if one game doubles its framerate, every game should be the same' so GTA3 can be CPU limited.
Probably Nenamark is very GPU intensive and a optimized GPU driver can do wonders but each game has its own CPU-GPU balance.

not too bad even playing zombiewood smoothly, as long as you got enough free ram & set VM Heap size to 96m-128m

Um........good point. But people are saying that with the new Adreno drivers that ICS and JB for gaming are better than GB. I only use my xperia play for gaming, so I have been looking for a rom designed for gaming, so far the best is NXT Light in my opinion. If anyone finds other please post

I would have agreed wih u and up unill i came across jb slim I thought that nxt light was the best jb slim bean it the only rom which is really come near to perfection the only downfall is that u cannot record but u can use the camera to take pictures via app from play store for free. and all the other features work to perfection u can overclock to 1.6ghz to play certain games which are too slow to play 4 exmple modern combact 4. also u can download games from google play store for free which arent even supose to be working on xperia play like shadow gun dead zone and all this is not even he best part when u flash it normally u get atleast 550mb internall free well thats becasue how small the actual rom it self is also this is the least laggyiest rom plus if u like to listen to music then it has apollo music player bonus points so despite the loss of the recording feature it overall makes up in compare to every other feature. :good: if u are inerested i personally tested it on xperia play r800i alos thishas been tested on r800x the link to this is if u are intersed that is :fingers-crossed::highfive:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35493383
for gaming i recomend - Jellyzeus (JB) or CM9.1 (ICS) - both can run GTA VC really smoth on low settings (25%distance / 50%textures, all other low or off) ...
if you buy xperia play for hard gaming, i recomend - NXT Light Ed. - its best...
but if you play games like wheres my water / angry birds, and want JB, its a good choice...

I actually finished the game... in currently on gin2jb now, probably gonna stick to it though
i think gin2jellybean has best futures
in 2.3 and lower the ram usage was very high but now the ram usage is lower than all of the roms(and in 2.4 it improved more and i have too much available ram

I don't think so. I didn't have to wipe any data, but to be safe root and backup with titanium.

53 apps all on sd card... Frozen most of system apps and clock speed at 1517( was just for tests)... The fps was probably higher due to fps meter or screenshot taken at high action area... U?

So thats good, right?

I tried both ROMs (1.0.1 vs 2.4.0) with Vice City. My settings are: 35% draw distance, max effects and resolution, no shadows (and 100% savegame). LupusGB v10 720p kernel, OC @1.6 Ghz with performance governor, sio, App Quarantine Pro. I didn't use FPS meter, but AuroraPlay has much better performance with bare eyes. Almost lagless everywhere.

Hi everyone, after a lot of time passing flashing roms on my xperia play, i found that the Stock Rom (GingerBread) + Custom Kernel (Lupus v10 GB) give you the max and stable fps. The "performance scripts" or "boosters" are causing fps drops in games like real racing 3 and others and mosts of them are placebo effects. Adrenobooster is causing fps drops in both roms, disabling it get things a little better but the performance of games is still far from stock.
The custom rom that gave me best results in terms of gaming and stability after deleting all the scripts and Adrenobooster in init.d is "Bane of Speed v4 by Pizza_Dox.

1st thing I do when flashing rom now, is disabling adreno booster if there is any (mostly cause lags or glitches for me).
Then replace or add those settings at the end of the build.prop (much better than supercharger for gaming imo)
Then you can compare.

Didn't try Aurora play but I get the most ram available and best gaming experience with gin2jellybean of all the roms I've tested for now. (testing on gtaVC, nfs, emulators, etc.).
Try it and you will see

Yes, im sure of what i say, i just registered today for to report and share my experience. I passed several days flashing and testing roms because i wanted to find the best gaming experience in our phone. In most of roms there was force closes, random reboots and fps drops. Try it yourself and let me know...stock rom baseband .71 + lupus v10 GB. I found it funny that the stock rom offer better gaming experience then a custom rom, because my phone was always with some custom rom installed. A debloated stock rom with partitions unlocked give you the best gaming experience, ram management and multitasking. The only negative thing is the lack of customization of the stock rom that custom roms have but you can do something for that, tweaking a bit but NOT adding init.d scripts, ram tools, task killers (android manage everything by itself perfectly) or boosters that they're useless because they give you more fps drops then ever (adrenobooster tested in all roms and obtained only fps drops and force closes). Bigger benchmark score activating adrenobooster doent mean more fps in games, or STABLE fps. Real racing 3 for example gave me so many fps drops and force closes in custom roms, even when deleted adrenobooster, with stock rom its really fluid, there is huge difference.
If you dont want stock rom, you can try Bane of Speed v4 that im running right now, the best custom rom i found so far but deleting all init.d scripts that will give you good performance, almost like stock rom, no force closes or phone rebooting (really stable) and no fps drops.
