I cant recommend you the item because i havent been that unlucky. In the future would you be so kind to ask question in the Q and A sectionf of the S3 and not in the general section.
Also replacing the glas and bezel reguires specialized tools and some bravery. Keep that in mind, its a tricky job. (Seen it on youtube)
Good luck

And why is there 2 screen protectors one coloured round the edges and one just clear?

Crisis averted. Did the ole scotch tape trick to remove the dust particles. That should be in all screen protectors instructions as it works a treat.

My general rules are (1) try to do it in a humid atmosphere, so there's less dust in the air, eg. a bathroom with a shower running, (2) to wash the back of the protector with water just before applying, and (3) try to fix errant dust motes with tape on the front to peel up a corner, and tape underneath to grab the dust, which it sounds like you've done. Personally I'm a big fan of the Brando ultra-clear protectors. Good luck!
I'm really loving the look of the phone with the colour change but the screen seems to have a kind of static look to it. Hopefully I'll get used to it as the phone looks great

I bought some SGP protectors for my S III. Well one of the kinds I bought was the ultra optics or whichever the the one that resists fingerprints is and it has almost like a texture on the screen which is kind of annoying to look at. I feel like it dulls the whole thing. I may take it off eventually and put the remaining ultra crystal I have from my i747
Really loving this screen protector.
The galaxy's s3 seems to me like it is very prone to scratches.
I always keep my phone in a pocket with nothing in it like keys or money yet I've got some pretty deep scratches on it.
I didnt get anywhere near as much with my s1, s2 or galaxy tab p1000.
Basically this screen is giving me protection and I'd even go as far as to say that it is making the scratches that I've acquired less noticeable.
Feels great too. I'm my opinion better that original screen and you have the added bonus of the anti fingerprint.
Defo recommend this

Hey All,
I was reading the user manual for the S4 (Link), and it said on page 8 "Do not use a screen protector. This causes sensor malfunctions".
If I didn't look online for the manual, I wouldn't have known this information, as I didn't get the manual with my phone. (Only the quick start guides).
What is everyone opinion on this?

I don't think the sensor will be affected if the screen protectors are well cut at the right areas.

Which areas?
They probably be cut around sensors at the top.

I'd assume that it's because of the floating touch. Being an owner of the Note 2 (that has floating touch with the S-Pen) I can tell you that a screen protector doesn't affect my experience.
Now if the S4 uses a different way of capturing floating touch (because it doesn't have a stylus), this may be true. I suppose only time and testing will tell.

i'm still going to use screen protectors.
I have screen protector. I got it with the phone when preordered. Its cut around the home button and cut just before sensors at top. All works fine.

Get a screen protector and a case if you don't want to scratch your phone, that way you can sell it in an "excellent" condition. I had my GS3 for 8 months and it's still in pristine condition.
I have had a screen protector on since day one with no malfunctions. Also, you will notice that protectors designed for the S4 don't cover the sensors at the top of the phone.

It makes the floating touch slightly less sensitive (and accurate at longer distances), but other than that it's fine.
I have a screen protector on my s4 and have no issues
I also used screen protector from day 1, no problem.
had one no change btw after accident not ahve one now btw think may nto go to bu one what do u think? buy one:?!

yea u r corect plus i use ones no any effect
So I was reading an article that the glass would be very difficult to fix. If I were to have broken the glass just a little and not the touch screen part, would it be true I'd have to get the whole thing fixed. If so, I feel the cheapest way to fix it would be Samsung for 169.99.

Hiya, i recently brought a used galaxy s4 from ebay, the seller said he had it for under a year and used a screen protector on it.
When i recieved it the screen was very smudgy after using it for not very long, and these fingerprints are hindering the great display tbh, im pretty sure the oleophobic coating has worn off!!
What would be the best solution regarding this? Would it be best to get a screen protector? If so, which one is the best?
Thanks alot
Darren

What do u think by seeing this glass ?
i have bought brand new Galaxy S5 and this is the result. i think samsung provided me fake gorila glass?
What exactly are we looking at? The yellow tint that is your screen
I believe the OP is talking about the scratch at the mid - bottom of the screen, or what?

Definitely looks like the screen protector is causing it. Can you remove the screen protector and see if that removes the tint?

Looks like a protector is on. You should remove it and check.
Indeed. It's just the factory applied protector is coming away isn't it? Hard to tell from those pics with all the reflection. Down on a flat table would have been easier to see

There is definately a screen protector applied, just look near the sensors around the screen you can see the parts where thers is air under the protector :silly::silly:

No brother , I have not put any screen protector.
that is not bubble , that is coating fade away .
So sad I have got manufacturer defected phone.
It REALLY looks like some kind of protective film. Are you sure it's not? I've never heard of "coating fading away" before.

I do not see anything remotely looking like a screen protector or anything like that, that said, it is just an unfortunate production malfunction which can always happen and so obvious you don't have to worry about it and can just return it to get a replacement. I do not really see the need for a whole thread on such a problem.
Would I feel bummed out about it, of course, but these things happen and are easily solved. Thread closed?
