So I'm running the latest CM10 nightly on my Nook Color and everything's been running smoothly for a while except bluetooth. I originally thought it was a problem with pairing with my Mac keyboard but I tried pairing with several other devices and still the problem persists.
Funny thing is it will scan and will pair but cannot maintain a connection to do anything. I tested this with Mac Keyboard for input, my Galaxy Nexus for bluetooth tethering, a couple headsets, other friends' phones, etc.
I'm beginning to think this has to be a software or kernel problem. Has anyone else had this experience? Is this a possible CM10 bug (I haven't messed around too much with CM7.2)?
Thanks for your help.

You know the NC has no Bluetooth antenna don't you? The range is inches not feet.

I know the range is very short with the Nook Color. I tested all devices literally ON the NC. Tried shifting around different positions and different corners of the NC. Is there any way to know if this is a software issue or bug?

FYI...I tried connecting my NOOK ParnoidAndroid (CM10) to a JAMBOX via Bluetooth. No go. It pairs but will not connect. And I was inches from it. I'm pretty sure I tried normal CM10 Nightly also and it did not work.

I have at least a 2 foot of range on my Nook with my iHome keyboard, my ELM 327 OBD2 sensor, my TomTom MK2 GPS, and my Plantronics headset. Am I just lucky?
Maybe this is a stupid question, but would SD vs the internal memory make any difference?? I'm currently running on a micro SD card (Sandisk 8gb class 4).

Bluetooth connectivity doesn't distinguish whether you run on SD card or internal install.
I have the same problem as OP. Recently switched from CM7 to CM10 and my MOGA controller stays connected for about 10 seconds and then disconnects. It worked perfectly on CM7. Anybody know of any solutions to the current bluetooth problem?

Well, I haven't bothered trying bluetooth on CM7. If it ends up working, seems like we can definitely assume it's software not hardware. Problem is CM10 is so much better suited for a tablet....

Hey I managed to fix the issue by flashing the 4.12 gapps. Hope that helps fix your problem also.

Works seamlessly within a range of two feet with Plantronics Backbeat Go. No issues with pairing!!
Keep up the good work!!

I realize there is plenty written about keyboards in the accessories section, but I'm hoping I can get some direct feedback here, as I've been struggling with a Microsoft 6500 (great keyboard otherwise) that needs to be unpaired and repaired to my nook (after cycling the nooks bluetooth chip) every time I want to use it. Consequentially, I don't use it very often which defeats the point of having it.
Anyone out there using a bluetooth keyboard that's easy to pair, use, and maintains a stable pairing between uses?
The two battery Apple Wireless Keyboard, or the Xoom keyboard.
Hi, pretty new here, mostly just glean info for my Dinc2 and Nook color CM7 of which I have learned a lot.
Hope reviving old threads isnt taboo.
I'm running my Nook Color on the emmc and CM 7.2.0 encore
I'm looking for a bluetooth keyboard. Just wondering if there is any more recent discoveries.
I'm looking to stay super portable so I'm wondering if anyone has any recent experience with compact and stable bluetooth keyboards that would fit in one of those zippered cases with the nook.
Thanks.

When I use these headphones through my computer or my wifes Nexus S, they work perfectly.
Unfortunately, when I connect to my X5, there are constant breaks in the audio which render the headphones useless. I am currently using a CM7 rom but I've tried stock 2.2 and 2.3.5 roms, in addition to a custom 4.1 rom. All have the same problem.
Any suggestions on what I can do to try and fix?
Thanks
Same on galaxy s 4g and kinivo headphones

I get the same behavior on a rooted and custom rom on my samsung galaxy s 4g. I'm interested if you find a solution. This morning it seemed wind caused the the headset to skip while playing audio. Inside it seems to be fine.

I have successfully beamed stuff from my Nexus 7 to my Nexus 10.
One issue I did come across is with bluetooth... I think it's a 4.2 issue. Tried to normally bluetooth something from N7 to N10 and the N10 went crazy. Came up with accept or decline, then crashes, then comes up accept or decline again and wouldn't stop doing this. I even turned off my N10 and turned it back on and it would still do it. In the end I had to turn both devices off to get it to stop. I'm not going to be using bluetooth again any time soon.
whatt??? damn maybe its my rom. did you do it in the middle of the back??

Yeah the middle. Works fine.
I beam pic from my S3 to the nexus back and forth, no problem
Same. Aloso it has a dual NFC so there is one on the top on the front. Try that one.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using xda app-developers app
thats crazy. im guessing my PacMan roms nfc isnt working or maybe its just my 10's NFC that isnt working
I am also having a lot of issues with my NFC tags.
Even when using the app TagInfo it says my tags don't have a NFC chip on it
One time I had luck and one small tag (192b) worked, but some time after that it didn't work anymore like the other tags.
Those tags used to work fine on my galaxy nexus and I loved to use them
The Nexus 10 just plays the NFC sound (up to down) and nothing happens (because it thinks that the tags don't have any usable chip on it...)
Someone else experiencing similar things?
Me too. I get the NFC sound, on either the back or front sensor, but nothing can read any of my many different NFC chips. My Galaxy Nexus reads them all fine (and writes them as well). Everything else is perfect with my N10, so I'd really like to find out it's a firmware/software problem, not a hardware problem with my particular N10.
good luck:fingers-crossed:

I was able to beam from the N10 to the S3 a pic but when I tried the other way from S3 to N10 is just beaming the App but not the picture. Any ideas?

Ive got one, had it for xmas from my daughter, pretty happy with it, wifi is fine not sure about the range as my router is about a metre away from tv so cant comment on that, running xbmc rc3 on it and dvds and livetv works well, struggles abit with true HD as dont think its hardware accelerated. Only gripe ive got at the moment is altho it came with flash player installed it doesnt work ive tried updating it from the adobe archive page but the settings page is just greyed out, maybe someone on here can fix it which is why i just joined

I've got one, I think it lacks good video drivers.
Bad synk audio video, stuttering video.
It has a diffrenet wif/BT chip compared to the 802 but same SOC (I think) so the custom roms from the 802 work but you get no wifi & BT.
The BT exists but does not work with my mouse, it pairs but nothing more, I think the original ROM lacks BT mouse support.
I would say a 802 with working custom ROMs is a much better deal for the moment, but this could change anytime soon or never.
I've had one for a while and didn't use it that much until I flashed finless bob's rom for the imito mx1/2, which has the same basic internals. It is much smoother and faster than before, but this could be partly attributed to the newer kernel this rom possesses.

Not to sound like an idiot because I'm just asking you to repeat what you just posted, but you can confirm that finless' ROM will flash onto the UG007 with no modifications needed?

I solved Bluetooth issue by installing a custom ROM: http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php/category/android-tv-stick-tv-box/ug007/
How to install CWM-based Recovery: http://androtab.info/clockworkmod/rockchip/
I bought one two days ago when my note 4 spontaneously died, and while I'm super impressed with performance I'm finding that it utterly blows at Bluetooth audio!
It skips and stutters so much!
I did summer searching and it looks like they've been aware of it since November but I can't find any record of anyone saying it's fixed yet... Is there any indication its going to be solved soon?
Playing music from it is probably about 1/3 of its purpose, I'm not going to put up with this indefinitely.

What kind of bluetooth device are you using? I've got 5 different bluetooth devices (4 headsets and my car) and I dont have any issues with it at all (unless I'm running a CM rom, but it's been a while so maybe it's been fixed in those...)
It's just a question of curiosity really.
I think they tried to fix it in the latest build (March) but I still have some skipping on my Moto Stream. It seems less frequent and distracting than previously.
I tried the Android N preview and funnily enough didn't have any obvious skips but not sure I tried it for long enough to be sure. I think others have said they still have problems on the N Preview.

I had this problem with a different kernel (Kylo I think). Went back to ElementalX had no problem. Now with full stock and no problems. Interesting that you are having that problem on stock.
I havent had any issues with N preview on stock kernel as well as ElementalX

i haven't tried it with the car but with my brand new skullcandy "smokin buds 2 wireless" (yeah the name sucks), it seems to be resource related.
I'm i'm playing a game it skips a lot more playing the music.. I typically turn the game audio off so I can play with my music...
Ugh. It works fine with the car, and my wife's cheap Logitech headset with fine with it.
So it sounds like it's the skull candy smokin buds 2 that are the fault.
