major problem with herald...desperate help needed(not a flashing thread)

hi commuity!,
since a few days i have been having this problem where thought i dont touch the screen or the slide or even for the matter when the onscreen touch keyboard is not active, where ever there is a text field .... an unstoppable number of oooooooooooooooo keep appearing and keep going on though i press back space.
when i switch on my phone it automatically goes to phone dial mode and starts over again .
but the interesting thing is that this does not happen when am in a non text place like the file explorer or any other program....
the only work around i found for this is hold the windows key till the menu pop ups and then the ooooooooooooo stop and i can navigate my phone.
again when its released the oooooooooo continue again and some times there is a gap...meaning it starts randomly...a span of upto 5 min for the trigger...
i am totally paralyzedly... i cant enter contacts nor make calls or anything... i tried soft reset,hard reset and even flashed 6.1 and 6.5 in vain
i would really appreciate if someone could help me

Maybe that's hardware keyboard bug? Try to clean it near the "O" letter

Can't get rid of the slideview??

Bought an X2 some weeks ago, and was really disapointed at the first. Then I found this thread (can't link since I'm a new user, but it's called: "[Solution] MUST-HAVE For X2 Users! Speed Tweaks & How to Disable "Slideview" & Panels") and suddenly life became much better
However, it seems like I can't get rid of slideview completly, since it's still available with the button under the phone button (down left of the phone).
I THINK I managed to perform all steps in the thread, except the first part of #12. Can someone explain more in detail?
Still have some stability problems, sometimes I can't return from the lock screen, and I have to remove the battery. Sometimes I do return from the lock screen, but comes to a blue and white window where the phone requires a code from me. It might also happens that I come back to the home screen, but can't run any programs, it says something about certificates that aren't signed??

Stupid Problem with P3452

Hi all
first post and i got an interesting problem with my phone which i qualify as stupid. It all started when when my virtually keyborad started becoming unresponsive and when i tried to do a factory reset, i could not enter the 1234 number to start it. i left the phone for a while and then i could not get into the setting even . But i could receive calls but i could not call since i could not access any numbers on the dial pad( by pressing on the numbers of coruse but from dial log screen i could)
Anyway long story short while fiddling with the phone , i thought the lock feature was on that is why some of the touch functions was not totally responsive but to my sadness, i activated the lock and now the phone is stuck on the front page and i cannot access anything since i must press unlock at the far corner of the down screen but stupidly, while pressing on the unlock, since it is unresponsive, i cannot unlock the phone to get to the normal menu and so on.The only thing working is the square pad which tells me to press cancel then unlock to free the phone for normal use
By the way the lock feature is the one that blocks the phone so that you do not accidentally press on the touch screen and activate a program and not the lock thing operators put to limit your phone
I want to know if anyone can help me unlock the screen so that i can reset the phone or alternatively any other method via usb to reset my phone to factory settings. Any special buttons on the phone i can do to do that?
I tired leaving battery out for 24 hours but that did not work to unfreeze the touch buttons
Was thinking to reload the windows mobile completely via the micro card (which i read here) but i am not sure it will work or i fear it might brick my phone

Well tried the mobiler but the thing is that it asks the phone to allow the program to conenct and i cannot press yes on the touch screen since it is frozen or something so i am stuck again.

Very strange, it doesn't ask anything on my device...
Why don't you hard reset: press green and red buttons and while pressing, poke the stylus shortly in the reset hole then release the 2 buttons. It will ask something that you probably won't see, just press the action button and wait for it to restart.

Don't flash another on just yet - it may well cause issues as it sounds like your digitizer is broken. Don't hard reset either
Does it pick up anything at all? Have you tried tapping all over the place in that region to try and get a response, sometimes just under the screen also works. Do you use a screen protector? If not, try it with one, if yes, try it without, it may be interferring with it, or it may help the touch be picked up by the phone (Stupid, I know, but this is something I found to work before with my elfs, and omnias)
When it is locked, is activesync picking the phone up? You may be able to put the remote.exe into the windows folder (for myMobilier) and do it that way.
A digitizer costs about £6-£10. But due to the age of this device, as sad as it is, I would suggest trying a new phone out if funds allow for it.

ok so far i tried the hard reset (red button and green and pressed the on off button but nothing. When i press on off button alone it switches off but not hard reset. I did not know i had a reset hole at the bottom of the phone.I did that with red and green button but nothing. Only when i poke the hole alone it does a hard reset i think but when i switches back on it is still unresponsive and locked screen
I tried poking under screen protector nothing. Also i think screen is still responsive because when i tap on it, the screen lights brighter
I tired putting remote exe file on the phone( active sync is working and i can read files on the phone) but i have two remote files..which one to use ? the one that ends with 40 one or 50 .Also where to put it specifically..which folder.I tried my windows mobile based device but nothing.Also tried program files and data application nothing.
Mobiler cannot connect since from pc alone because it asks my phone permission
and i cannot tap yes to accept program.
so any more suggestions please

Maybe I wasn't clear enough, here's the exact procedure, it should work since you have to use only hardware buttons:
Hold down send/reject buttons (green/red at the front) and reset with the stylus; release the stylus but keep holding the buttons till you get 'this will erase all your personal data' message, then press 'action' (big front button) to hard reset.
If Hard reset doesn't work then your device hardware is faulty.

If he hard resets he will liekly not be able to align the screen on initial setup tito12.
Avanisha. If you try to run one of the remote.exe it will say this is not a valid windows application, thats the one that needs to go into windows on your phone.

Hi captainstu72, i was under the impression that he messed up something in his system so a hard reset would hopefully solve the problem. In case he still can't align the screen after HR then he has to replace the digitiser. Mymobiler will not solve anything, pls read the 1st post: he wanted to do a factory reset. He just have to sync before HR.

thks tito 12..problem was solved with your help.J ust did not get the steps of hard reset right. Phone is working ok now and screen is ok as well as tap function. thank god i don't need a digitizer. thanks to captainstu72 for the help as well .You were right tito..seems i ran a program and then all hell broke on my phone. I wanted to factory reset but as you know the pad was locked.

Now I hold on my calculator, or some other program and it is only solution that I can to use my phone. Otherwise, touch screen works normally on all parts of dislpay. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Are you sure your touchscreen works normally on all its surface and only unlock slide is a problem?
It seems very odd, never heard something similar...

Yes,it's wierd.. Maybe you could describe the problem better when it doesn't work etc. it could be some touch drivers problem

I used to have similar problems . Have you updated to the latest rom from HTC. It can be downloaded from their website. ( be sure to back up all your personal stuff first of course)

Yes I know that seems very odd, but it is, my touchscreen works normally on all its surface and only unlock slide is a problem. ''Touch drivers", how and where I can to find drivers? Last night I looked different solutions, similar problems on many forums but without success. I found and installed little program 'xda shutdown' and it is work.....with that program I turn phone to sleep.....when I need to use phone again I push button 'home' on the phone, and slide works normally (no button shutdown, because in that case I cann't to move slide left or right). I forgot to mention, I have Windows 6,5, rom 3.14.479.2 (04666)WWE (I think that is last officially rom), radio 2.15..50.14. I hope that I now gave you more informations. Thanks in advance.

sounds like a common hardware problem of the HD2. the power/end call button is one of the most used buttons and has been known to cause pressure on the touch screen+connectors underneath, which can eventually damage the touchscreen.
you are now using a way to turn off the screen that doesn't involve the power/end call button. also, you are now using a way to wake the device using a button other than the power/end call button. funny thing is, this is exactly what is suggested (as a workaround or troubleshooting step) in almost all of the many many threads that talk about the problem mentioned in the first paragraph!
search some more and most common permanent solution suggested is to have it repaired!

[Q] Samsung keyboard and Hand writing recognition issues

Hi, first of, I bought my note 3 Two days ago. everything works like a charm. suddenly, the handwriting recognition (I guess) in the samsung keyboard wont work.. Normally, when you hand-write (using the s-pen) in the box provided, it automatically convert it into words, letters, numbers and etc, and the things that you wrote inside the box will normally go away after you stop writing.. right? but suddenly, the things you write inside the box (using s-pen) won't go away, and it seems that it isn't being recognized by the samsung keyboard, thus, not converting it into digital characters (letters, numbers, etc)
and there's this thing too, when you try to press the backspace button or delete button at the top corner of the box
(((((press this button after you write something inside using s-pen)))))), a blue, arrow-like marker appears on the bottom part of the box, and when you try to touch or move this blue-colored marker, everything freezes, and and error pops up "Samsung keyboard has stopped".
the s-pen totally works fine, i tried.. its just the samsung keyboard and the handwriting recognition.
i tried every (for me) possible basic way of fixing this, reset settings, reset, hard reset, reset factory settings, hard reset factory settings (hold power, home and volume up buttons together), and still the same. I even tried not to touch any settings or log in any account (Samsung account, Google, etc) after I did the steps above. still the same.
P.S.
I brought my note 3 to the Samsung customer service / Technical support earlier today, and, wow, i mean, after almost 5 hours of painful diagnostics, they concluded that the "board" or i guess the mo-bo was faulty, and guess what i got a new note 3 replacement, lucky right? nope, at first 4 or 5 hours, everything works like a charm, but about 30 mins ago, the same thing happened to the new phone.. if this happened to me twice, i doubt that i am the only one with this issue. Help guys?
