[Q] USB audio output? Nexus 10 - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there currently a kernel which supports usb audio output? I'm just wondering if I could do it. I saw workarounds and updated kernels for other devices, but do not know if it is available for our beloved tablet.

I believe there is a kernel, I'm running it right now actually. It's called KTManta. The link is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2015874
If you want to make sure just hop on the forum and ask the developer, I'm sure you'll receive a quick reply

bluetooth through OTG?

Hey guys, just curious since I know the BT in the device is a bust would it be possible to get BT unning through an OTG cable and adapter. I was only thinking about this because i was going to try playing with an emulator and thought it would be neat to be able to use a real game controller.
Not possible, you'd need driver support in the ROM for specific hardware.

[Q] Audio out through USB: Possible on defy?

Hi, is it possible to stream the audio output through the usb port like on other devices (i.e. droid razr)
It would be very nice to implement it, if it's possible at hardware level.
Defy / Defy+ TV Out
I think it's possible look that : http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-TV-Out-Video-audio-AV-Cable-4-MOTOROLA-Defy-MB525-SKN6261A-/260894518704
Excuse me but this not what I asked for! I'm talking about audio out trough USB port. In your link there's a video out trough 3,5 headphone port cable....

I am interested in this, can you explain more on your setup. What is the DL-165?. An asus docking station? There is a USB to HDMI video converter for sale in the fry's add today for only $12.99 that uses a displaylink driver.

DL-165 is a chip type of DisplayLink Adapter, known supported devices are DL-125,160,165 based devices.
That adapter costs me $30. Currently this is not suitable for daily use because it is too slow (1fps), I'm working on it.

Bluetooth dongle on MK808 (non-B)

So I have this MK808 that doesn't have bluetooth, but I have an IOgear USB dongle that has the Broadcom BCM2045 chip in it. Of course, it doesn't work when I try it. After a bit of googling, I found this website that has some dude getting it to work with something called a "Beagleboard" which seems to have similar specs as the MK808 (some differences).
http://antweb.me/index.php/blog-rea...-on-a-beagleboard-xm-running-android-ics.html
Any idea if those tricks will work on the stock MK808 ROM? Any idea if those mods are in any custom ROMs? Anyone want to try it out?
If not, I'll just return it and get the MK808B and be done with it. I figured that might help someone else, too.
Oh, and the USB BT dongle is the IOgear GBU221WM / GBU231WM if that helps. It's just a wrapper for that BCM2045 chip, though.
Majority of kernels/roms should have the bluetooth modules installed and working as standard now. Could always try flashing a new rom?
AFAIK this will NOT work.
Unless there has been a recent breakthrough. I have about 6 different Bluetooth USB adapters and tried everything from CM10 to Finless to MINIX Hybrid with various custom kernels.
I've found NO working combination. The drivers are there but something is failing. I've looked at logcats and watch it start and stop.
So I don't know. Hopefully one day because the lack of Bluetooth is annoying. I'd love to use my MOGA or PS3 with Bluetooth. I have a wireless 360 but I like the PS3 for emulators because of the good dpad.

just checkout the Funseries V3 Rom for Micromax Funbook..and some spansish dev also had included dongle support in their Roms.

The dongle I have (full-sized like Bluetooth 1.x?) doesn't work...
I think it depends on the Kernel modules/drivers?

AutoDROID questions.

Hi to all.
Could someone explain to me what autodroid offers on top of slimkat. What are its major advantages and what more can be done with this mod.
For example, is it possible to connect it to a external hard drive? To stream 1080p on my Samsung TV, from the hard drive? I am quite confused. DAC is mainly for digital to analog audio convention, so this ROM is mostly intended to listen music, to be able to connect the nexus device to my amplifier? Still, is it possible to add the DAC and also an external HDD from where I can play my music? What about a NAS server

I would ask these questions in that ROM's dedicated thread, you'll likely get a better (and more accurate) response there.
