Stock Rom, 4.1.2
Sideloaded various versions of Adobe Flash Player, crashes with Firefox Official + Beta. Boat browser doesn't work, Puffin Browser doesn't work, Naked browser doesn't work (The latter 2 just give me an icon where the flash movie should be)
I keep getting recommended all the above things, but nothing works. Is there anything solid which actually works? Because no flash is a deal breaker for me, and I'm thinking of returning my Nexus 7 now
Cyanogen ROM the flash works with the stock browser. To be fair on some sites it can be buggy or broken, that's probably why they stopped supporting it, but most of the time it works just fine.

I use stock aosp browser for flash with the latest version of flash player (Flash Player 11.1.for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.34)) found here, http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html#flash_player_archives. Works just fine for me.
I've been using flash with Naked Browser with no problems whatsoever. Usually you have to tap the icon that takes the place of the video to start it up. It does work though.

I use flash 11.1 with Firefox browser to watch episodes on south park studios on stock 4.2.1 with no issues. That's the only site I needed flash for though, so could be dependant on the site I guess.

I think that this is because of a layer or other JavaScript happening.
In Naked Browser, if you are unable to activate the Flash plugin, long press the "refresh" button on the bottom menu and it will allow you to force any Flash objects to run.

I was looking for an app that would let me download and save youtube videos but the only one I could find was one called youtube ripper, and that was taken off the market about the weeks ago. Does anyone have the apk, or an alternative?

Awesome, thanks!
I actually can't get this working. I paste the link from the actual youtube and it flashes the download bar for a second and disappears. When I paste the link from the mobile site it just stays on the gathering information popup.

you can also get "Jet VD" from the market. it works nice for me and it also gives you a choice if you want to download the video as low quality/high quality
Oh man so much better, thanks. Iit's not letting me choose what folder to download to though...

yeah all of a sudden youtube ripper stopped working for me. i liked it cuz i can give a youtube link and it'll convert it. i use jet vd now too. but you have to search on that before you can convert. good options though on what type of format you want to save. i wish it could convert links though too.
i just got JetVD and found the video. I clicked on 720p HD but it doesnt download it, only plays it...
this is the best one. got yanked bit I can get it at this websight. http://devian7.iisweb.co.kr/download.jsp

tubemate works pretty good, will save as mp4, does not look good when connected to tv through hdmi though...
Stock 2.3.3 - for now...
"TubeMate" also does the gob
i concur on the tubemate app they update it whenever youtube blocks em.
sometimes it takes them a lil bit to get an update version out but so far they been on top of it pretty good
Go to the MARKET & download "TUBEMATE". It is the best that I have used, & I have tried 5 or 6 of them. The best is called "FREEdi YOUTUBE DOWNLOADER" which is currently off the market (if you see it download it). However, I feel the best the MARKET has to offer currently is "TUBEMATE". Good Luck with it.
Before downloading make sure you make a backup of the original music file using titanium backup and uninstall music.apk
Then reboot phone and install honeycomb music player. If it works for your give me a thanks
WORKS WITH ALL ROMS AS FAR AS I KNOW OF

What is this "Jumper Test" that installs with it?
Should this work with the Nexus S on 2.3.1?
EDIT: Works fine so far on Nexus S CM7. Thanks.
This is what the music app should have been in 2.1, comparable to the gallery. Nice work here google, this looks great.
Decent looking. Probably in the wrong forum though...

They do not have the be anywhere specific. Android automatically finds any media files as long as there is not a ".nomedia" file in a folder where media is stored.
Also, this is old news and is in the wrong section.
Like the title says, for anyone who cares, the amazon music store/player now has lockscreen music controls, I love it.

Has anybody tried this on SFR 1.1.0? Any song from my sd card I try to play with amazon music store just says playback error. I know its not the files since they work in the regular music player and my computer. Strangely enough, the previews for purchasing songs play fine.
EDIT: Nevermind, it seems my phone just didn't feel like playing mp3s. Regular player had stopped working too. Gave it a reboot and now its fine. Lock screen controls are very nice, plus they even work with the pattern lock enabled on the aosp lock screen. Too bad it doesn't support the equalizer stuff the stock player has.

Hello all,
I am a new owner of a Nexus 7 (16G-All stock) and so far so good...except for the blueprint lsat prep website:
Note: I'm sorry, I'm new and cannot post links yet. If you try to go on the blueprint lsat prep website, the homepage has a link to sample videos of the course.
The company claims that it is possible to watch on Android. I have tried to watch using Chrome without any success. Tried it on Iphone, and the video played.
Since I am quite happy with the Nexus 7, I'd hate to have to return it and exchange it for an Ipad.
Please, please help!
Have you tried a third party media player such as mxplayer, or dice player? There are a few on the play store.

Anybody found out how to make flash player compatibile with kitekat?
I'm looking for the answer also it's a pain its not working.
Juts noticed this. Even using the latest apk from the Adobe archive doesn't work with any browser. I guess KitKat has properly killed off flash...

Do what I do. Pester the webmasters to move on to HTML5. Its faster, more secure, and far more compatible. I've found a lot of sites (some I can't/won't repost here) through inquirires that now play video just fine through Chrome and HTML5 on the Kit-Kat ROM. If its flash games you're concerned about, well, sadly, I have no solution. I suffered similar heartbreak when I learned that Dalvik != java

Another reason I plan on staying with 4.3.
Flash doesn't work on my N5. I don't think its worth sacrificing flash over the features of 4.4 that I'd hardly use, so just 4.3 for my N10!
