SETUP FORCE CLOSE!!help!!

Hi ther i am really worried,i downloaded the manual 2.3.6 update and then when it was the setup, it force closes making me unable to get through setup. clockworkmod recovery has also been replaced by the old recovery(original one) , i tried to go n install the other rom i was on n the installation was aborted. Can someone please tell me whats going on n waht to do!!pleasseee i am so worried that i have bricked my phonee....

Are you run throught cwm? Then there are several way u can restore.. u need search i dont remember well

Flash cwm recovery again from fastboot.
Download the right stock rom for your device from here.
Go mounts&storage, format everything there.
Go back and choose wipe > wipe dalvik cache.
Copy the rom to your sdcard via mounts&storage > mount usb storage, make sure that /mount sdcard is active (also in mounts&storage). Unmount.
Install zip from sdcard, choose the rom you just copied.
Restart, done.

[Q] HELP!!! Spent lot time but still Unable to flash HYPERION rom

Downloaded HYPERION Final Build 6, flashed to my SGY(stock rom and kernel:S5360_DXLF2_OLBLG1_DXLF1) using CWM with success and then choose to reboot the system but stuck in boot screen.
I leave my phone and waited for several minutes but still no joy. Used Odin 3.65 to recover the system and restore the stock rom and then flash again the HYPERION ROM but still no luck.
Please help guys....

If you get stuck at the logo screen try using a different compilation of CMW.
If you meet bootloop try wiping cache and Dalvik cache.

There's oneby skins and one by madteam. Search and you'll find it. Btw, flash to stock rom using Odin (if you're on a custom rom) before flashing hyperion.

after flashing DXLF1, try flashing EVO-X2.1 first then Hyperion (that's what I did). I used Merruk's CWM it has a much cleaner interface. :3

first flash stock dxlf
then if youre succesfull go to stock rom home screen
reboot recovery clear data factory reset and cache on stock recovery
then apply root update.zip (file you need to root ur phone)
next open cwm clear data and cache again
after that install hyperion then donot reboot and donot apply any update (must be later after succes install)
clear data and cache again in cwm
then reboot recovery clear data and cache again
then reboot wait for a while
thats my step and now im using hyperion smoothly

Still not working. I already flashed back to stock rom but failed.

It works but when I install Link2Sd app my phone reboot itself and stuck in the boot screen.

I don't think your supposed to use Link2SD?

Ohhhh leave it try to flash ussrv6 it's awesome man very smooth fast and stable than hperion...

Thanks sir....it works.... hehehe but i have one problem..., whenever I install an application software like chainfire3D, link2sd, swapper and kind of application which install in the phone memory.., my phone restarts and nothing is installed....

Link2SD and App2SD requires EXT3 partitioning on your SD card so you can have an extension of your phone memory on your SD card.
Swapper does the same, you need a nameless partition that your phone can put swap files into so as to reduce RAM usage.
Chainfire 3d requires plugins to properly function. It may be installed but not functional due to the fact that you may not have installed any plugins.
So link2sd ad swapper requires partitioning (theres a guide for that) and chainfire 3d requires plugins (google it)

it also happened to my SGY,
This is what I did - (hope this will help)
1. Flash your SGY to baseband DXLF1/DXLF2 via odin
2. Root it.
3. Reboot to Recovery Mode --> do data reset at wipe cache (2x each)
4. Flash Hyperion via CWM
5. After installation, still in CWM go to advance --> reboot recovery --> then flash kernel via CWM
6. After kernel installs, do data reset, wipe cache 2x AGAIN, then --> go to advance --> wipe dalvik 2x also
7. Then REBOOT (wait 2-4mins until cellphone fully starts)

What kernel Im going to flash...? HYPERION has built-in kernel already..

Hi, I've try 3 times installing Hyperion ROM but I cannot do it. I use the recommended basebrand.. Need help.. I've tried any ROM but I cannot install any ROM too

had the same problem before. ive tried 4 times but the result was the same.. i get stuck at boot logo. then i flashed ddle1 via odin and installed hyperion. fisrt try success... try to flash different baseband.

thy this procedure dude.
go to cmw then go to mounts and storage the format system, data, and cache after that mount system, data and cache. then go back then wipe data and cache then flash the room then wipe data only then reboot. if it is still not booting go to stock recovery then wipe data and cache then flash the rom. after flashing wipe data only don't wipe cache. then reboot. it take 3 minutes to boot for first time. :good:

just flash from stock and evrything will be good

you probably did'nt do the instructions correctly,
try reflashing to stock,
use CWM recovery and mount system before installing,
search on how

try this....
1. install repencis repencis rom. after scanning, boot recovery and install hyperion Rom.
2. in recovery, wipe data and cache and select install zip from sd and select hyperion zip.
3. enjoy...

try this:
1) flash back stock rom DLXF1/DLXF2 via ODIN
2) boot via CWM
3) do wipe data/reset(2x), wipe cashe partition(2x)
4) go to ADVANCED
5) wipe Dalvik Cashe
6) go back
7) install zip from sd
8) choose zip from sdcard
9) select the HYPERION ROM zip
OR if it still stuck on boot logo
1) flash back to stock rom
2) ROOT YOUR PHONE
then do steps #2 to #9

*wipe ur ext partition if u have it (using link2sd)
*then flash Hiperion
oh, it's you again u made it.

*flash with stock rom using Odin
*flash with CWM that Hyperion (read the instruction carefully on the Hyperion Thread)

STEPS TO FLASH HYPERION (worked for me 100%)
- Flash stock rom via odin
- Reboot and go to CWM
- Clear Data/Reset and Cache
- Mount System/Sdcard/Data/Cache, (Sometimes Data/Cache can't be mounted it is OKAY)
- Flash Hyperion
- DO NOT REBOOT YET
- Go to Advanced
- Boot to Recovery
- Clear Data
- Clear Cache
- Reboot

SGY bricked while flashing ROM help plz

Hlo. I was recently trying to install new Custom ROM(ROM thread in link) I did these steps.
1. Boots into stock recovery
2. Boots into CWM recovery via .zip file.
3. Cleared Data Factory reset, Clear dalvik cache and clear battery stats.
4. Flashed ROM file(it was successfull)
Then I reboot the device and it is stuck on Samsung Galaxy Y logo screen.
I dont know what happened wrong(also i followed steps said by rom owner)

The rom mentioned is cm7 based
you need to be on percys cm#2 kernel - search dev section for his cm7 thread and it's on the 1st page

it was a kernel problem i think....
try hells fusion just after flashing

GO to advance Reboot recovery
You will see small fonts
Go to mount and storage
Format system,data,cache
Mount all of them again
Flash cm7 based rom
Wipe data
Reboot system

First fLASH cwm then wipe data wipe cahe and mount everythings then flash the kernal the mount everything the flash the rom

Try Flashing Stock Rom via Odin then flash ur custom rom again..
To flash stock rom via odin ..please search it in google Im sure theres more responding sites to help..
