Hi,
My phone was working absolutely normal for about a year but suddenly yesterday morning I found it stuck on 'BLINKING SAMSUNG LOGO'. I left it on charge overnight. It was absolutely shocking and I did everything possible to wake it up but It didnt show up. I did Hard Reset a multiple times, tried to unplug USB cable, battery back and forth, but it was of no help.
I found this question on various forums but unfortunately, no one came up with a positive solution except replacing it under warranty. I came back to Pakistan and phone is it out of warranty so there is no possibility for that.
Yesterday, I performed STOCK ROM flash. Luckily I managed to put it WP 7 and so far it is working fine. Later I updated it through ZUNE and during a hour download/installation, I expected it to install WP 7.5 but it popped up the same logo again. I tried everything but problem remains the same. Im stuck on 8th step out of 9 i.e. restarting your phone. I flashed back again to 7, then tried again, but same logo appears back and blinks
It clearly seems like wp 7.5 has some software issues in the bootup. Is there any direct WP 7.5 ROM available on internet?
What else should I do to fix it?

Hi, if you have a microsd card installed it may be the problem, remove the card, do a hardreset, then reflash your handset and try to upgrade to Mango then see what happens, if all is good then your microsd is faulty, this happened to a lot of focus users ))

You will ned to install a custom bootloader for installing a custom ROM, but if you handset is under warranty I would fully recommend taking it to the service as I doubt your problem will magically disappear with a custom ROM, and there is a big chance of bricking the device when installing a custom bootloader if your device is problematic.
Please somebody help!
I have updated it twice but the problem pops up same in the end. It keeps on blinking the logo.
My current version is 7.0.7008. everytime I connect it to zune, it updates on request to 7.5 add on but Im stuck.
Please somebody help me, I have bought a used phone and out of warranty. What can I do to restore it back to WP 7.5.?

My Touch HD doesnt respond, it hangs and restarts itself all the time. Today it chrashed totally and I cant start it no more. It comes to the text "smart mobility" then the softwareinfo in the right lower corner pops up and nothing more happens..
I cant do a hardreset. (tried with volumebuttons and powerbutton at the same time)
I cant upgrade the software..
Anyone had this issue before?
Servicecentre?
Sad times...
Cokey,
Can you even put it into the bootloader mode?
Cheers.
Ehrm, whats bootloader mode?
hold vol down, and press power on (keep holding volume down until screen comes on)
you should see a screen of 3 coloured bars
if you can do this, you should be also able to do hard reset. for a hard reset make sure you hold both the volume buttons down, and keep them held after you press power on
Tom
Okey, havent tried that yet. But hardreset wont work, with both volumekeys and power on...
I've just tried that bootloader mode and that works but a hardreset isnt working. It starts up as written above then the display fades out a bit. Nothing more happens...
Darn it...

Cokey,
All is not lost, don't worry. If you can get into Bootloader mode, then you will be able to flash a new ROM onto it. Go to the ROM section and follow crackwhore's very detailed guide.
Have fun flashing!
Cheers.

All seems ok with it right now... Will leave it on over the night so Im sure it wont hang/restart again..
Again thx for the help..
(Flashing is something I wanna try but I really want my OS to be in Swedish )
I have the same issues. I am constantly reflashing the ROM because the phone will not last more than a day before being stuck on the Smart Mobility screen.
I have been flashing all of Dutty's different ROMs including LEO R4 and WM 6.5 R14 Turbo, WM 6.1 etc every day for the past week. It still freezes daily and when reboot, it gets stuck on Smart Mobility Screen. I am ready to throw it in the bin!
Anyone got any ideas. Flashing ROMs isn't working or fixing it as I have tried all sorts. I have also upgraded the Radio yesterday, still doesn't help. Tried also a new SD card, again, still freezes.

Have you tried reverting back to stock rom to see if problem persists? If so, return device under warranty
J,
USPL or HSPL? Do you install any applications, or do you leave it as it is and it still crashes in a day?
Cheers.

No luck
I think my warranty is out the window when I tampered with the screws and broke the VOID Warranty sticker.
I have used both USPL and HSPL and same issues occurs. I think I have narrowed it down... if I don't touch the onboard memory, ie not install anything to the onboard memory or touch it too much in that area, then it will tend to be okay. It starts to freeze and lock up at Smart Mobility Screen whenever I copy stuff or active sync etc.... so far anyway.
Looks like its going in the bin... last resort tomorrow, revert back to stock rom and see how long it lasts.
Recently I have updated the March update of Windows Phone and the process have stucked in 8 of 10 and the Zune have closed incorrectly and my Trophy have turn off and now I can't start it anymore. I press the power button and nothing happend.
Any help?
Thanks in advance.
any tips please?
Same problem, what did you do?
I wasn't able to start it anymore. any tips you guys?
Zune has made a backup of your system. go into the settings to restore
I have the same problem. I just updated my HTC Trophy to the latest version of from 4. January 2012 (v7.10.8107.79).
Before I updated my phone I had the version 7.10.7740.16 from 17. Nov. 2011.
No hacks, no jailbreak or anything else. It was just offical developer unlocked.
So, I started the update and it after the reboot on step 9 of 10 it started vibrating 7 times in a row. After that it was just hanging on the HTC logo boot screen. After an hour or so I disconnected the phone and removed the battery. When I start the phone I got always those 7 short virations and it hangs on the logo screen.
I tried the hard reset as well without success.
Does anybody have an idea what I can do with my phone?
BTW: I made the update with my MacBook Pro but with a nativ windows installation on it.
Thanks in advanced.
What carrier is your Trophy on? You should attempt to flash the stock rom back onto it.
It's a Swisscom branded phone from Switzerland. But I use it atm anyway just as a test device without a SIM card.
How can I do that to flash the stock ROM on my phone? Do you have a link where I can get some instrutctions?
Thanks
EDIT:
I found this thread, I will try this to solve my problem. I'll let you know if it works.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1257986
You can also forgo trying to use that method and use the HSPL process to try a rom like DFT Freedom. It will let you do a lot of neat things a stock rom cannot do (like run Opera).
You would then download HTC Connection Setup and change the carrier settings to your carrier (so you would recieve SMS, etc).
I've been using Android NAND for a while with no problems but the other day I struggled getting into bootloader. Eventually (for no obvious reason) it went in and I flashed the shipped rom. I tried bootloader again but no dice. Then I made the fatal error of flashing HSPL again only to get stuck on the O2 screen. I can't get any further.
I can't connect to the pc because it doesn't see anything and I can't get it onto bootloader to flash anything else. I've tried everything I can think of bar JTAG (which is out of my league) and I'm supposed to be sending it back to HTC tomorrow for a repair.
Question is, will HTC see HSPL installed without access to the bootloader and, if they do, will they tell me where to shove it?
..tried searching everywhere before starting a new thread...

How did you flash shipped if you couldn't get into bootloader?
You're doing vol-down and power on right? If you get a splash you should be able to get into bootloader, because SOMETHING is telling your splash to show up.
Try putting the correct shipped on your SD and power up with vol down.
I think they will be able to tell that you modified it.
Thanks for the quick response. I'll try it again with the sd card. The only thing I can think is that the battery died on me almost as soon as I tried the sd card shipped rom. I saw the bootloader for a second and then the phone went off. When I charged it back up, no bootloader...
The problem is I've tried so many things, I'm struggling remembering the exact order of my screw up. I have a feeling after the battery died and I couldn't get it into bootloader, HSPL was working and I flashed the stock rom using USB flash.

Well, I've seen lots of warnings about having your battery greater than 50% while flashing, which (obviously) means that if your device has run out of juice while flashing could lead to unrepairable (by end-user) issues .
Try orangekid's advice and report back.

when flashing from SD, SPL and radio are the first 2 things it flashes afaik, so power out right when you started flashing could be a serious issue.
Hopefully what I said above works though, if your SPL is completely fubar I have no idea what HTC will say, what I would tell them if you try to RMA is you had problems with random reboots and did a hard-reset, then when it started flashing it just turned off for no reason and now it's weird or something like that so they think it was a regular stock hard reset thing and not a "oh **** I have to restore to factory cuz I have HSPL on here" thing.
Ok, so I tried about 10 more times with no joy - at least it's consistently broken now.
Thanks guys, just hoping for an 11th hour rescue. I'll send it off tomorrow and report back the outcome with HTC. I appreciate your help. I knew the lack of charge and flashing via bootloader was going to trip me up one day.
Was HTC able to bring the phone back to its original state or were you able to do something to get the issue fixed? I have the same problem. All I did was to load prj Clean Desire v0.3.2 ROM (this ROM is the same as Cotulla's but with few fixes). This was the first time I ever attempted loading an Android ROM on to my HD2. All looked well initially. The phone was rebooted after ROM was installed. I did intial setup like facebook acct, email, wi-fi, gprs, etc. Then after few hours, the menu button (windows button in HD2) and back button quit working. Even the power button when pressed for few seconds wouldn't bring up the power off and other options. I thought a soft reset would fix it and then I pulled the battery off and restarted. All I now get is the first boot screen with "123456...go.go.go..." and then a white screen with HTC on it. Nothing more. It is stuck there. I tried getting in to bootloader, but I couldn't. Holding down the volume-down and then pressing the power button just restarts the phone as mentioned above and takes me to the HTC screen. Not sure how can I get to the bootloader. Desperately looking for help....
My 1.3 focus is stuck in the Samsung logo screen. It lloks like it is in an endless reboot as the logo will go away for a moment then reappear.
I am able to get the phone into Download and Format mode with out issue.
I have also been able to succesfully reflash the original firmware without issue, but the same result none the less.
Any ideas on this?
I had put the mi7 ROM on which worked fine. This morning phone was stuck on the logo. I reflashed the mi7 without issue as well before trying the original Samsung ROM
Hi Guys
i have this same problem with my focus its also ver 1.3
i had an error on the mango update (usb cable bad apparently) according to the code, and after the failed update the phone was acting stupid and cutting out when it wants so i flashed the phone with the rogers rom, and it worked fine attempted to do the mango update again in a diff usb port and got the same error so i went to reflash the phone again so i could get my mate to try his cable the flash seemed to go through with no issues until the first reboot, then instead of getting the connect to computer screen i just got the samsung logo flashing up then restarting and flashing the samsung logo again i have tryed to flash again with diff versions of the tool and original rom and rogers rom many times but still get the same thing the only strange thing is that i cant get into the hard reset mode i can get into download mode fine but not format it just flashes back to the same flashing samsung screen Please Help or is the phone Buggered at a wild guess iv got a problem with the internal memory ??? Lost and need help

I see. You're the 4th person I encounter having this problem after flashing magldr. You should ask in the magldr thread. I'm not sure if it's really magldr related but I don't see anything else that could cause it...
Make sure you specify there your revision(3/4)/ as well as OS version.
I was installing a new windows 7.8 ROM [dynamics one] on my phone, over the current custom 7.8 rom..
Did the usual stuff, installed magldr clicked on samsung focus and it showed successful. Then installed the rom.
Then not letting it reboot, formatting first. But when the format finished it showed "SAMSUNG OMNIA 7" for second and got me pretty worried.
Its not turning on now, Samsung logo appears for a moment and then it goes blank. Then the phone to pc connection image shows up. Thats al.
Ive tried reinstalling the magldr with clicking on focus but still no change.
I'm pretty sure I did it right the first time around but don't know what happened.
Have I bricked my phone or what? Please suggest something asap.
Mine is a sim unlocked AT&T Samsung focus 1.3
It does go to download mode and format options

Hi, my friend has experienced this before, don't worry about Samsung Omnia 7, its just a label, the rom is already mod for Focus.
You should try reflashing the dynamic 2.0 rom again. Make sure your battery level is above 50%, after it finish flashing, it will take something like 10-15 more mins to finish setting up the rom so just don't touch anything on your phone yet. Just wait for the windows phone setup screen to show up first then reset your phone storage.
