And this only is a problem-for me
What's the problem??
In your first pic there are many apps running in the background so it will cause more ram usage..
That ram is 30-40 mb more than normal usage. The notification /status bar also causes more of ram usage.
Other than this I don't see what problem you exactly have. Can you please explain?

reboot your phone. it might help .otherwise u need to reflash your rom bcoz 220 mb is too high in my view.In my phone i`ve jb3.0.3 installed along with 10 extra 3rd party apps and also avast but mine ram is always 168-178 when idle(i.e. opening no apps, net or wifi) and it becomes 190 to 205 if i use gprs or wifi with browser running.

Actually, it doesnt matter if the RAM is as high as 220. Using processes which run in background just consumes more RAM. Every 3rd party doesnt run in background. Avast is just one background process you are mentioning. That guy could have several apps such as Viber, Whatsapp, tango, facebook, twitter, gmail etc which always run in background and hence take RAM.

Did you mention widget locker? It takes up a lot of RAM..not recommended. Use the stock locker or 8 lock screen mod in various custom ROMs. A 3rd party lockscreen is always not recommended.

i'm using GingerDX v.010 and i'm only getting about 24mb ram, can anyone help me boost the ram so the phone doesn't lag?
Uninstall EVERY system ap that you don´t need and use the Supercharger script(Just search for it)
I used autokiller memory optimizer n set it to agressif, n i get over 70mb free.

how can i use them when the market wont download anything?
You can get the supercharger ONLY from xda, and serach for autokiller on SlideMe.
NEVER use task killers. They just make everything worse!

Usually I find that the lower the free ram is, the snappier the phone is.

Does Supercharger script improve a lot? After that will the phone become as smooth as the original 2.1 rom?
Thx!

Oops, accidentally pressed thanks button instead of quote.
Yes, it does speed up the phone dramatically. Use it and see for yourself.
Hello everyone, I am sharing something that worked for me.
This is for rooted users only.
I had noticed that multi-tasking was not all too great on the S3 at times, if I had to switch back to a heavy game after replying to a message for example I would have to reload the whole game and not be able to just resume playing, similarily I would have to reload pages in Dolphin browser after returning to it if I had switched to something else.
Today I rooted my phone, was playing around with Vm Heapsizes but I ended up just restoring the default value until I tried out this application called
"Ram Manager Pro" on the Playstore.
There is a setting within the app called "Hard Multitasking" using this I am able to switch between all of my tasks flawlessly (So far!) I switched between games and heavy browser pages, and nothing has been closed by itself, I was able to resume gaming right away and there were no page refreshes with the browser!
Also Check the option "keep Launcher in memory" to help prevent touchwiz redraws!
Also I am sure this has been said before, but toning down the animations or switching them off in developer options makes the phone snappier, and so does unchecking the ripple effect for the lock screen,
Hope I have helped, I am infinitely more pleased with my phone now.:good:

You can check out my post/thread history and you would know I'm a guy with a new S3 who has problems with HDMI out and had a lot of questions about rooting and ROMs lol, However I will try to find out what Vm heapsize the program uses so that we can manually set it ourselves without having to buy the program.
Any ideas on how to do so?

remove it, and then it will use no ram
in normal case the wallpaper only consumes ram/cpu when u are on homescreen and can see the wallie, when u go to settings or any other place the wallie stops and is in idle state and restarts when back on homescreen.
Oh.. Thanks for that information !!!

Woah woah.... Thats not true.
I have 95% transparent system apps when i open any app i can clearly see the live wallpaper in motion.
I am using ram expender till the device gets slow when i use live wallpaper.
There is no way to use it lagfree in our limited hardware device.
Uninstall in and have your ram

Just have a quick question iv'e heard that on the s4 that touchwiz takes up a lot of ram from the 2gb available does that mean if i install another ROM will give me more ram to work with ?
Yes ,but Android is not Windows. Free RAM is wasted RAM. Without touchwiz and the Samsung bloat give you more space on infernal SD. If Android need RAM so the low mem killer kicks in and clean unused apps.

Hd2 actually has 576mb of ram. Some of it is reserved for kernel and gpu, but we still havent allocated all of it. I suggest for freeing ram is to make lmk values higher and to use the task killer
