Hi guys,
I have a samsung galaxy gt-i9003 (lcd screen). It fell down once and from that time the phone is not switching on or its going into bootloop. After I went to service center they said battery needs to be replaced and ripped off 1000 bucks and later again it was giving the same problem and they said motherboard is damaged so needs to be replaced. kindly help me how to proceed??
Is it okay if i try flashin it with kernals and install a new rom??Kindly help me please. THANKS in advance.

Its possible, the flex connectors have slipped or the circuit board gets cracked internally in a fall, best to just to strip down to check . dismantling guides in My Android Collections

subscribing, mine is starting to connect/disconnect intermittently
If you can really deal with hardware and connectors then there is a thread of how to open up an atom here in this forum.
If its still under warranty, I suggest you take it to the service centre.
It won't cover under warranty for physical damage.

Nope. They won't cover under warranty. But they would surely rectify your problem by asking you to pay for it. Best option if you can't locate a good replacement.

Hi guys
I'm having the same problem as oyama, my USB connector broke off the board.
Oyama, can you explain me how you did it?
I'm pretty good at hardware and I have some previous knowledge.
Can you help me out?
Thanks in advance

Why not tell the detailed symptoms here to the experts here before taking it to a repair centre?
perhaps you can find a solution on this great site!
Good luck,

This.
There's a lot of experience here. I've owned an Exec for about half a year and I've learnt so much. Several times I was going to bring it in for repairs but with this forum and my laptop, I did it myself.
Ok, so i tell you how it was,so three months ago i owned my touch and it worked alright for about 2 months, but after that time i read somewhere that i can flash my touch to wm6.1,so i tried to flash it,but when i was unpluging my htc from usb i dropped it on the floor and what i thought something broke inside and it started to hanging on when i tried to use it,so i searched for something that can repair it and what i found was this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=476152 i followed all the steps and when i tried to disconnect the lcd the flex or something like that broke off from behind lcd and when i tried to fix it with normal tape it doesn't worked maybe i just stick it not correct,i don't have idea and what i think it is that problem because i put the plastic on the processor like what it says above, please help what can it be the problem, and if it is expensive to repair, please!!!
I post you what is my problem but you don't reply me,please reply!!
And most probably the XDA HD2 forum
I recently dropped my HD2 in the ground, resulting in a broken lcd AND digitizer
I saw the post where one of the members here changed it, and it contained links to official assemble/disassemble videos. I got my hopes up,and searched around for a replacement lcm. I was recommended [email protected] I bought one, and watched all the material in the post I found. I watched it, watched it again...and than again. I was ready to change it and restore my HD2 to it's glory.
all done and.....wtf, touch does not work..... after opening it again I can see I manage to tear the ribboncable from the digitized to the LCD I can't afford to buy another replacement LCM... So this is goodbye (probably)...and back to my trusty old Hero...
Thanks for listening
!!!!! why did you have to do it all by ur self u should have bought the lcm module an given it to some comp engineer to do it for u!!! anyways how did u manage to seperate it from the housing (i couldnt do it till now i know i know im a Hippocrit )
well I have made phone repairs earlier with self-bought parts, and I have a degree in service electronics. The place the cable is torn, is where it's soldered to the lcd/IC. Tried re-soldering it, but for some reason the the solder will not stick.
But I think I will save money for a month or two and buy a Desire HD or a Incredible S

Maybe someone can help me. I have a T-Mo HD2. I sent it in to HTC's repair center, while in repair they damaged it and the Camera/Volume Up no longer function. HTC won't repair it (It's a long story.) Anyway, since I've been fighting with HTC for weeks now, and getting nowhere... What could they have possibly screwed up internally so I can look into replacing it myself?

1. they HAVE to repair it when they damage it
2. in good case the buttons are damaged which you can replace if you disamble the phone
in bad case, they damaged the mainboard, so your hd2 is a brick

I don't agree on this, it could be only main flexboard... or worst case scenario the main flexboard connector on mainboard could be faulty/damaged.

Yeah. Sounds like they may have replaced your display with a faulty unit. Ask them to replace it or threaten to press legal action.
