So I love my Razr I and I also love the Motoblur on my Razr I but something is bothering me. Even though I love everything about my Razr I, given the fact that JB leaked for the Razr M and Intel has already finised JB to Midfield for several, you'd think there would also be a leak for the Razr I.
No one came across a leak, perhaps? (because as a tester I'd love to test it out)

9 out of 10. Intel already finished the porting and Motorola showed off demo's of JB with blur running on the Razr I at the launch event.
10/10 you can already see server logs of RAZR i running 4.1.1....

I don't remember seeing any Jelly Bean stuff at the Razr i launch, and I was there.
They only confirmed it was coming, and soon, but didn't clarify what 'soon' was.
@alpha beta: That porting that was ready was told by Intel and Motorola itself, although I don't remember where I got that, probably from trusted sources (people) here on XDA.
@jonmorris: You're right. I'm sorry for the confusion. I confused the Razr M launch event with that of the Razr I (it was the Razr M launch event that had demo models with 4.1).
@mattigroff: What server logs?
Anyway, I hope some leak soon comes, I really wanna test it

Not going to link anything. If it's seen in public the log site could be compromised. Just wait we'll get it eventually
I work for T-mobile and after getting my Razr I from one of the guys from Motorola, I did promptly ask him the question around when it would be getting the Jellybean update. His reply was "Probably the beginning of next year"
So we could still be in for a wait anyway guys.

If it is true then it shows not that much has changed for Motorola users not in the USA? I thought now Google are involved with Motorola updates would be a little faster. Luckily I'm happy with the Razr i so guess I'll just wait. I did read somewhere there may be an announcement on Jellybean soon from Motorola for Razr i.

I have spoke with some people from motorola and asked some questions related to general business but also for upgrading Atrix with ICS.
I'm pasting here some answers without mentioning names, I think that this may show that motorola is doing more than they are ready to publicly say in this moment. To be on safe side You can think about this as rumor.
On Software upgrades, I wasn't aware of an announcement regarding ICS and ATRIX. Although Motorola tends to announce what it will do, not what it won't do, it doesn't mean it won't happen. You may be right, but I don't know the current status... The challenge we have with ATRIX however is Webtop, the full linux OS which sits within Froyo/Gingerbread... I imagine this has delayed any comment. The ideal scenario would be to upgrade all phones to the latest software, and I see that almost all high-end (non web top) phones have had ICS upgrade confirmed.

thats a lie dude ;D
Motorola's problem in releasing ICS is not WebTop's fault, is nvidia's! they will not release ICS drivers and sources, not until motorola pays them some good money.
So, our hope for now is that motorola pays for ics on xoom and then make a "hacked driver" of it to the phones with tegra2....

Perfectly acceptable titles:
- Unofficial information from Motorla regarding ICS for the Atrix
- I contacted Motorola regarding ICS for the Atrix, here's the answer
- If you were wondering about Motorola's stand on ICS for the Atrix, here it is
- So I decided to contact Motorola about ICS for the Atrix
Do you understand how the title is misleading enough for it to pass as obvious trolling? Don't apologize, just change the god damned title so people won't read it and get excited over some unofficial comments that do not really say ANYTHING at all about current development for the Atrix.
Thank you and have a good one.

Moto started contacting some device owners asking for their participation in a new Xoom-related project. There's a decent chance this project is actually an ICS betatest program.
I think they did the same thing with the Atix and/or Bionic. Anyone with experience in those devices know how long this beta testing goes for?

Hahahahaha and a double LOL @ this thread. As an early adopter Xoom owner (got it the day it came out), and this really goes for anybody who has owned a Xoom for longer than 6 months, I'm used to software and features (4G anybody?) being implemented by everybody but Motorola first. Hell, with Motorola's track record and commitment to customer satisfaction, you should expect your official ICS to be released about mid August.

I would imagine that the GED Xoom will get ICS before Motorola push it out to non-GED Xooms.
I would also imagine that GED Xoom will get ICS before TP...
Unless Moto are taking full responsibility for the GED Xoom the same as the non-GED xooms - I would have thought they would want the GED to get ICS ASAP really...
Moto can then take their time and make sure stuff works really well with the Moto update for non-GED xooms...
As we have seen Google using ICS xooms at live shows.
It must mean its pretty stable, who would risk a crash on a live show when they could have honeycomb on it ( slow but not much crashes apart from the browser)
So Google having a working ICS for the last few weeks and no sign of sharing it it worrying.
If Asus do get the first ICS tablet out in the market beating the only GED tablet available, what does that say for future of GED tablets? does Google care about the tablet market?
The only reason I want ICS is that there is a slight hope the browser will be stable. So many large websites just crash. Normal websites hang lucky to get more then a few tabs open.

I dont think that the 3G and 4G Xooms can really be considered GED's since VZW has to tinker with the software and are responsible for pushing it out
The WiFi Xoom is, in my opinion, the only GED
Wish I had the WiFi version instead of my non-activated 3G version
And yet the Verizon Xoom is actually running the latest version of Honeycomb (3.2.4) while the WiFi Xoom is stuck on 3.2.1. haha

The differences in the versions have to do with fixes and features that are specific to those devices, ergo, the 3G/4G's 3.2.4 isn't any better than the wifi's 3.2.1.

I wouldn't say Google Now sucks, I'm looking forward to it.
As for smoothness, I've only had the device running extremely smoothly while on CM9. On stock and modded TW, it is quick but nowhere near your average Jelly Bean device. CM9 still has issues with camera quality but I've been running it due to the improvements in performance elsewhere.

Seriously though, I think Google Now is very interesting. I've been hearing about it's behaviour for a week or two on my friend's Nexus. It seems to me that the more this gets worked on, the more intuitive it can become while it's "watching" where you're at regularly.
Already he's noticed it prompting him about traffic around the times he leaves for work in the morning and for home in the afternoon, to tell him about traffic conditions & ETAs.
Pretty amazing possibilities if you can get the phone to passively offer helpful information without asking if you ask me...

Yes it's for real! They want to SOAK Test! Most probably it's going to be 2.3.7! Maybe some minor battery fix, wifi improvements. So pretty sure it's not ICS. Anyways, good to SOAK test. I've applied to SOAK test. I hope they'll roll out the update soon.
2.3.7?
4.0.4 or 4.1.2 you mean!
