[Q] Can't get my Focus to fully turn on - Focus General

Hey guys, been using my Focus for about 2 years with no problems, last week it randomly shut off. I plugged it in to let it charge, I got the Samsung logo for about 4 seconds and then a black screen. Every now and then it would turn on and show a low battery screen for a few seconds, then shut off again.
Plugging it in and charging it did nothing, so I ordered a new battery
Swapped out batteries and nothing, same problem. Sometimes when I plug it in, I don't even get the Samsung logo. It's all very hit and miss. Not sure what to do here, seems like the phone is a goner but I'd figure I'd see if anyone here can help.
Cheers.

[Q] HELP: Battery Problem? Can't Even Turn On!

Hi guys, my HD2's battery hasn't been impressive since I first purchased it, especially after using Android on it, but it seems everyone else's complaining about it so maybe it was just the inherent problem with the phone.
Then comes tonight, I didn't have a chance to charge the battery and it turned itself off. But when I got home and had the charger plugged in, NOTHING HAPPEND, not even the LED light. Nothing happened when I tried to hold the Turn On button, then try holding the Volume up button and the start button to do a hard reset but no luck, NO response at all! I kept it plugged in still nothing happened, though the bottom part of the phone at the back turned warm, otherwise, it's like DEAD....
I think the only cause of it is the battery dies. (I didn't drop the phone prior to the problem.) Any suggestions? Would T-Mobile(U.S.A.) cover a replacement, I had the phone less than 1 year? HELP PLZ guys!
take battery out, plug usb in (wall charger, not pc), and only then reinsert battery.
this prevents the phone trying to turn on when you plug into the wall.
don't be surprised the light doesn't come on.
leave for a few hours.

Is my phone dead?

Noticed my E900 was unexpectedly powered off. Tried to switch on and got the LG logo for 3-4 seconds, then... nothing. Seems to power off. Failed to boot?
Subsequently, power button did nothnig. After removing/replacing battery and powering on, I get the same LG logo for a few seconds, then nothing.
The LG logo tells me it isn't a dead screen. Connected to PC/Zune and nothing seen.
Are there any button combinations to do a reset?
I have ordered a new battery, but I think that's unlikely to help.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Mark
I had already tried charging the phone of course, and had left it plugged in for several hours. No change, still as dead as ever.
But later I connected to a PC. No sign of life from there, but I happened to leave it connected. An hour or so later I noticed it was displaying the almost-full-screen picture of a battery, with a small fraction of green at the bottom.
So it seems the battery had been totally drained to the point it was (almost) unrecoverable. Perhaps it was the low-current trickle from USB that got it going again.
Back up and running now. Glad I didn't panic and buy a new phone!

[Q] Nexus 4 won't charge at all. Bricked?

Hi guys,
I got a serious problem. I imported a Nexus 4 from France to Belgium because it isn't availible in my country, I have it for three weeks now and I was very satisfied.
My friend received a S3 for Christmas so I decided to install Antutu; to compare the two phones.
Anyway, the Nexus just randomly crashed. It wouldn't turn on.
I tried to hard reset it, it didn't work.
I plugged it in to charge, for about an hour; it was blinking red, but still nothing.
Then I connected it in on my PC, the battery icon apperead, I clicked the powr button the Google logo appared again but it turned off.
Now it isn't recognized at all, there is no red blinking led and not recognized on PC..
Any help or I have to find a way to RMA it?
thanks a lot

I have tried it but it isn't charging, I'll wait for an hour again.
I did lot of searching..
I had a similar problem while running Antutu yesterday
My phone was charged up to about 98% .. At this time I decided to run the benchmark when my phone suddenly turned off 1/2 way through..
I then decided to hold the power button for 10 secs to no avail..
I connected the charger to see if the screen would light up and lo and behold the phone started charging but I discovered my battery had drained to 0% all the way from 98%..
I wasnt sure what caused this so i let it charge for 2 mins then i turned on the phone....It was still at 3%....i left the phone connected to the charger for 15 mins but it never chrged past 3% so i disconnected the charger and restarted the phone..
By the time the phone was booted up, the battery was back to its original 98% and i havent experienced the problem since then even though i have run the antutu benchmark multiple times after the restart...
I find it odd though that we both experienced the problem while running antutu....my best guess is that there is a particular test that interferes with our phones power management
RMA was my only solution...
thanks anyway

[Q] Potential Galaxy S4 battery issue?

Hi all,
Hoping i posted this in the correct section but i'll start off.
So i've had my S4 for about a year and a half now, a couple days ago the phone's started to act up. It turned off, wouldn't turn back on, i did the typical battery pull but the weird thing is when i did, the phone would vibrate right after i put it in, the GS4 logo comes up and then it just shuts off. I've tried to charge it and it won't work, tried doing a battery pull and then putting it back in then quickly plugging the charger in before it vibrates and nothing. Does anyone know what my issue could be? I can post some pictures to help reference but any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated.
I'm on the latest Kit Kat update, running on rogers.
I hate to bump such an old thread, but I've looked and looked and haven't found many threads with this issue. So, might as well bring the issue to the front so it's visible.
I'm having this exact issue as of this morning. The phone shows the Samsung logo after booting up for a bout 1-2 seconds before turning off. Won't power on until the battery is pulled/replaced. Only powers on for 1-2 seconds again.
If it's plugged into the charger, the same thing happens, except instead of the Samsung logo, it's the empty battery logo with the cogwheel, before turning off 1-2 seconds later.
Worked fine last night, this morning, nothing.
Anyone experienced/resolved this issue?
Unfortunately, the exact same thing is happening with my phone as well now. About two hours ago I was playing a game and then the internet stopped working. Less than a minute later the phone turned off and now I can't boot up past the logo that is displayed for like a second.
Can you guys get into download mode? If so I'd Odin the stock firmware and see if the problem goes away.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
if all else fails you could pm OP and see what he did. he never posted again so may have got it working.

Battery Issue

Hi! I am asking for my friend regarding this weird battery problem he is facing.
His Note 4 (SM-N910G) could be like 70+% then out of the blue, it just black out and didn't even bother shut down properly. Then plugging in back the charger, the phone says his phone is currently 0% already on the bootloader charging screen.
Then he could not turn on his phone immediately or else it will black out again when turning on. He have to wait for the charger to charge the battery awhile before switching it on.
He already tried a new battery and the same thing happens.
