Awesome videos mate . already subscribed to your channel.
I wanted to comment on something about the s note app, u mentioned the pen double tap to bring up the "lite" version to scribble a note on it, and when we click maximize it takes it to the full size s note app.
So, I have noticed that even after maximizing, the s note app is missing a few functionalities (like the shape and formula match), and it only serves as a simple note taking app (like the s memo on the original note), unfortunately I find this a bit of an inconvenience.
But I just discovered this trick , once u hover the pen or u touch it with the screen, the fingers touch input is completely disabled, even the capacitive buttons (so u can't accidently hit them), and if u touch the screen with a finger and draw a line (without lifting up yr fingers) then u hover the s pen, that line disappears!
I find those two tiny details extremely useful and important.
Thx again for the videos.

You're totally right about expanding S Note (lite). It doesn't open the full S Note. Just expands with the recording option. As much as I like S Note and the more I use it, I realize how the UI needs some serious improvements.
I don't have the second problem you reported though. Maybe I got an update?
Features I want...
drag and drop combine pages...
at the end of the day, I have many different notes. it shouldn't open a new file every time after the pen is pulled out (with the auto popup note option)
bigger hover previews.
swipe deletes.
multi page hover previews.
google doc syncs snb files that don't open anywhere else than on the galaxy note...grr...
popup note shouldn't pop up a note when you pull out a pen when you're already in S Note....
anyway, that's just for starters. Still love it. Can't wait for improvements.

Questions to those who have already received their Galaxy Note

I thought I'd create another thread where questions can be posted for those who have already received there Galaxy Notes.
Here are my questions so far :
1) Is the touch screen as good as SGSII and can the S Pen be avoided completely? I'm not talking about the added features, I'm just talking if S Pen is needed to be used for default functionality.
2) How do the apps scale with the bigger resolution? Both utility apps and games, app by app examples will be appreciated.
3) Is the handwriting recognition any good?
4) Is the build quality like SGSII? I mean is it plasticy?
5) How do the games like Dungeon Defender : Second Wave, 9mm, Shadowgun perform with this and how does it scale? These are the highest end games on Android and if it can handle them well on native resolution then we're good. Presuming it doesn't scale them and blow up to be blurry, also please use highest graphic setting(If available).
6) How's the GPS? I'm tired of the absolute crap GPS on my Galaxy S. Son of a gun placed me on another road today and made me completely lost for a good hour.
7) At what bitrate can/does the Note take 1080p videos?
8) Can you throw it against a wall? Photos if you do!
PS : I'll be getting my Note on 1st, so I'm very excited.

In my opinion it is as good as the screen of the SGS2. You can avoid the pen completely, you can do everything with the fingers, the pen is only needed for the sketching/painting/writing or doing screenshots by pressing the key on the pen.
never had faster gps lock and on places unthinkable with my sgs2. maybe it's the glonass support (i see satellite numbers higher than before). but can't say anything about road experience so far.
dungeon defender 2 nd w. : controls were partly off screen, deinstalled.
The final text was:
This is Some test on the new Samsung Galax y Note trging the S pen to write Some text for XdaClloldone
Does the screen register stuff when using pen, if the finger touches the screen ?
Can you try gameloft's games and see if they work?
Thanks for answering some of the questions.
1. touchscreen is better then in sgs 2 and you didnt need the pen, i didnt use it one time
2. scaling is for me at the moment on 85% from the apps wich i use good, only the market is not so good and the mp3 player mort, i think that can be better
3. and 8. didnt understand the question
4. the build quality is the same, very good
5. 6. and 7. didnt try

2) I tried Fieldrunners HD and Angry Birds, both worked without problems.
4) In my opinion, only the battery door is really feeling like some piece of plastic, but after putting it in, it more feels like some rubber-coated thing, nothing is making sounds, it fits like a second skin. The whole device feels very valuable, only the S pen feels a bit cheap
As many of you guys can see the screen is pretty slipery for the S pen, has anyone try to use an anti glossary screen protector with the pen?

Depends on your needs. I'm getting the note and the Transformer Prime. Prime will mostly be used for taking notes in class and and gaming/media consumption. Will do the same with the note, but having a tablet that can go full blown netbook is worth it in my eye. I wouldn't get both it the transformer was a normal tablet without the dock. Biggest reason for wanting these 2 items is battery life. Note has a huge battery, and the transformer has 16 hours of battery life while in the dock.

Regarding the latter, there is no question that a large tablet will be more enjoyable for reading. The note sacrifices screen size for convenience.
I know people who own DSLRS, but find themselves using their cameraphone more often, just because it's more convenient.

I know you are only looking for replies from those who already have the Note but I still wanted to pass on this information to you....
Are you aware the Note (like the Galaxy Nexus) has a built in 'Barometer'.
Although a barometer is used to measure atmospheric pressure and to therefore predict the weather the use of having one fitted in the Note will make GPS so much more accurate.
GPS receivers sometimes integrate a barometer, in order to get more accurate altitude readings. The error margin for the Z-axis with GPS is quite high, but combined with atmospheric pressure readings from a barometer, the accuracy can be increased dramatically. With the inclusion of an accelerometer, barometer, compass and GPS sensors, the Galaxy Note suddenly has an incredibly accurate way to pinpoint your exact position, velocity and orientation.
Once the army of Android developers out there obtain the SDK (Due out Dec 2011) they will find some great uses for the barometer.
Hello,
my question is:
How does the stylus improve the internet browsing (Desktop View - not mobile view)? How good is the accuracy. Is the stylus an advantage when browsing?
Browsing with touchscreen ist not very accurate. Im often hitting wrong buttons and links when browsing in "Desktop View".

I don't have much problems browsing the web with my fingers... Especially now on the larger Note.
And I often resize web pages, and than the pen is more "in the way" than useful.
I guess most people will not take out the pen for browsing.
It's too much "work" to get the pen out just for "every day things"....
But the pen has its use for fun things, like drawing and such... And editing / annotating a movie or picture on the Note is really nice...

S Pen - what do you use it for?

Hi guys.
First time note user. Coming from galaxy s2 and s3.
Love the note 2. Simply the best smartphone ever made and so glad I went for it even after recently uograding to s3 which I will now sell.
Anyway...I feel like I should use the pen more. So want to see how others are using it? I have looked at s-note but not sure how I would use that. So if you have examples of how you would use that. That woule be good. Any other apps I can download to get good use?
I find it quicker to type with my fingers. Is this the same for everyone?
Look forward to your comments.

The only app i use the pen for is photo art
Its a nice feature but its not obligatory to use it imho
Only once i needed to note something fast and i used it.
but i know its there if i need it.
I had s1 , s2 and s3 too , and i am addicted to swype so i can't type with anything else.
I use it to learn to write japanese character on ankidroid.
I think that the Galaxy note 2 is just the best device to learn a foreign language on the go.
Signing contracts and documents. Instead of printing and scanning/faxing it back to them. I just sign it with my s pen and email it back to them.
Emailing photos and marking it up with the s pen is so much more personal and exact when you need to highlight or point something out in the photo.
Writing down a phone number or a quick note
I don't use it daily but it sure is very helpful and flexible when I do use it.

I use it to take notes, use it for the multi window feature, also a lot on the web especially when they are small links to click, the s pen gives you more precision and where they are sub menus instead of using your fingers the s pen helps a lot. Take screenshots alao
I put mine in a straw and blow it out, it makes for a surprisingly good projectile to shoot at the wife

i don't have mine yet, but when i look at the review video's i think myscript calculator works better for this than s note does.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.visionobjects.calculator
Haven't found any S pen optmized apps other than stock, so the main use of Spen for me is to show off When I was putting a photo note yesterday, people were saying WOW
I've never taken the pen out of the phone and have no plans to do so lol.
Read you manual when you get the phone, it is worth it. The S-Pen is realy deep inbedded in the software mate, try quick commands for instancewhere you can open any app just by a s-pen shortcut command. It is realy great
I use the S-Pen for Games like SEGA Virtua Tennis, to Paint, Notes,Web and to make screenshots.
Whenever I'm on web, it works like a mice, so gotta have it in hand. Yahoo, espnstar a lot of websites have it optimized well.
In fact, it's always outside holster for me, whether on my hand or not.

I will use my S-pen of Note1 to clip some pictures and draw something~
It is good pen and function!!
Does it work with draw something? i really love that game and dont want to buy another stylus just to play it.
If you enable the pop up s-note, then it s-pen works just like pen and paper, kinda.
Pull out the s-pen (s-note pops up automatically). scribble whatever (reminder, phone number, address/etc), then just stick the pen right back in. The contents are saved automatically.
I've used it a few times to annotate pictures. circling stuff and writing 'park here', or 'click here', etc.
It's super useful for that, rather than sending a screen shot and saying 'hit the click the option about 2/3s way down'

A trait of Galaxy Note line-up
I use it to show iPhone users what a Galaxy Note series device can do

The new S-Note feels like it's been downgraded rather than upgraded

Hello everyone, first and foremost I am a happy original Gnote 10.1 user, who migrated from the original tab 10.1. The GNote 10.1 have been the most useful gadget I ever used in classes, and it works flawlessly as an entertainment device as well. I purchased the Gnote 10.1 when it came out and nothing has been able to replace it.
I was looking forward to buy the 2014 version as soon as it comes out and retire my old Note, but now I am having doubts.
I bought a Note 3 from T-Mobile on day one, moving on from a Nexus 4 because I needed a device with better battery life and capabilities, and since I was familiar with the Note series-it wasn't a hard decision to make. 4.3 is fast and runs flawlessly on the Note 3, but I couldn't help but notice the changes that Samsung have done to the S-Note app. You know, one of the main reasons consumers actually pick a Note device over the competition. Here's what I noticed so far:
1. Clicking the button on the S-Pen inside of S-Note does not switch between the pen/pencil presets, but instead brings up Air Command.
2. Formula matching is pretty much hidden, you can no longer use that feature inside of S-Note to look up solutions for mathematical formulas via Wolfram Alpha. Instead you have to enter it in S Find. Pretty stupid if you ask me. Actually I couldn't find how to look that up for the life of me if it wasn't for another XDA user.
3. Erasing anything precisely that you draw/write is basically a pain now. You can wave goodbye to being precise about erasing anything you draw into S-Note. Let's say you drew a circle, and you set your eraser to a 1 because you want to erase just that small portion of it to correct it or whatnot, it will erase a lot more than you think it will even if you set it to 1.
4. Backwards compatibility, when trying to import an .SNB file it forces you to convert it so that it only works with the new version of S-Note.
5. Syncing with Google Drive has been removed, instead you could only use a Samsung account or Evernote. Granted you could copy the files from the S-Note folder and back them up manually, but why do you have to do that?
6. Shape matching is the worst downgrade of all of the above, remember how you could draw a crooked line or a set of lines (crossed or not) and they would get straighten up automatically? Now you have to draw those lines, pick the lasso tool, circle the lines you drew, and hit transform into shape for that to work. 50% of the time it misses the shape you're actually aiming for and then you have to redraw the whole thing. This is a setback because if you're crossing lines and if only one of the lines wouldn't be transformed correctly then you have to draw the whole thing again.
Trust me, I am not b*tching about Samsung or trolling, the app has been improved a lot visually and it looks better than ever, and I will probably wind up buying the tablet cause it is still one of the best tablets out there (for me). But I cannot help but ask why would they do all of that? What do you guys think?
If you root you can probably uninstall the new s note and install the old one though there might be issues. I don't think most people used s note anyways. I used lecturen otes personally and don't bother with wolf ram alpha.
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk 4
Of course all I've said is subjective to everyone's usage patterns and what options do they use, but I used all of those regularly. The only reason I'd root my device is to be able to use more apps for multiwindow...but with the Knox drama I will probably hold off. Regardless it is still a bummer what they did to S-Note.
I watched so many product demos of the old Note 10.1 and being the owner of the new 10.1, I can tell you that your complaints regarding S-Note on the Note3 are valid for the Note 10.1... S-Note for the Note3 and the Note 10.1 are the same. The biggest bummer with the new version is that it doesn't automatically do "shape & text" conversion on the fly anymore. You now have to lasso everything, select the conversion, hope it does it well and then to top it off, it doesn't line it up to the lines on the template so you have to lasso it again to move it. To make my handwriten notes searchable I name/tag the top of each page in standard text or just use the handwriting recognition piece at the bottom, which is ok but isn't nearly as good as Microsoft's OCR tool like in OneNote. I wish there was a training utility to help with accuracy; or if anything it'll teach me to be more careful on my penmanship.
this is sad news
i will wait for further confirmation on the incoming reviews
i didnt have the Old note 10.1, so when i choose now what u think ! i Mainly want it for Note taking
and does the lecture notes app solve these issues
would they make modifications in the new snote, wether by Samsung itself, or developers !
Note 10.1 2014 and Note 3 Snote tips.
I just got my Note 10.1 2014. S note still has formula and autoshape functions. They only become an option AFTER you draw them and then hit the select button (looks like a cloud) - then circle the item and hit transform. It works well in practice.
i am looking into the others, after I clean and my tablet charges. I ran out most the battery downloading my apps from my previous tablet.
I could do an insane amount of stuff on a note 10.1 and used it for everything - and I will figure this out - and I have my list.
What I do know is advanced art functionality was given a new home in Sketchbook instead of residing in SNote.
S Finder does solves - but I haven't found out how to do it native to SNote yet.
The Global Search of Wolfram Alpha no longer is in S Note either.
My Note 2 qand Note 10 both toggle eraser and pen - not different presets in my pencil box. No way i found to toggle that yet on the new tablet.
Erase by Stroke is an option in the eraser - and this is new - uncheck it and it does not erase the whole word or shape - just what you actually go over. Tap the eraser for the option. (just found that!)
I am still paying and researching and tinkering - and will find more, i am sure.

If you read my post carefully you would have understood that I am not looking to transform my handwriting into formulas, but actually writing a formula and search the Wolfram Alpha for it. Which like I said only can be done now through S Finder. I find that unacceptable. The transform handwriting to shape is troublesome since I have to go through all the extra steps to do it when I could do that on an old tablet by just clicking an icon and start drawing.
I also did explain that erasing is still not precise even when you set up your eraser side to 1, which only can be done by unchecking the erase by stroke option...
i want the old SN back........
I don't like the new S Note either. If we got a petition going, do you guys think Samsung would change it?
Nope. You would need at least 1 Million names on that petition.

So far this thread has a 1000 views. Maybe the petition is worth a shot lol. The majority of the people that found this thread probably feel the same way.
I just don't get how Samsung thinks that drawing a shape or formula and then drawing a box or lasso around it is better than converting the drawings on the fly.
It doesn't even seem to be quicker, especially with complex shapes.

God I hate Samsung representatives. They know nothing and can't do anything.

I'm right in thinking that s note is laggy correct? Not just my unit but pretty much the experience? It takes a good second or two swiping between pages and a lot of times I have to redo the gesture not knowing if it detected it or not. I do have the lag when waking the device up to getting the home screen unlock and stuff like that, but that doesn't bother me as much because I don't do it as often, but trying to "flip through" notes is next to impossible with the delay. Is that the norm??
S Note does seem to be laggy and semi-unstable. When I first powered my tablet on and got the two forced updates, my tablet was supper laggy and S Note would crash on conversions and imports. Based on that, I wrote a hideous review on Amazon and started the return process with Newegg.
I factory reset it and packed it back up. So then I started getting flamed on Amazon from die hard Samsung fans and decided that it was time for proof that S Note was slower on the new Note than the original. I was video taping the pdf import and noticed that S Note improved, as well as the rest of the tablet. I think the two updates cause the infamous "slow after update syndrome" despite being pushed for increased stability.
Anyhow, that was all to say that after the factory reset, the tablet is more responsive.
However, I do agree that S Note has taken a step down and that it is slow to turn pages. I converted all of my notes to pdfs from my old tablet; the process was actually quicker than I thought. I am transitioning over to Lecture Notes; the import and export speeds are nice.
I would only factory reset after a backup or if you have nothing to lose. I did notice that after I reset the tab, it automatically downloaded all of the apps that I previously installed on it; this saved some time after deciding to keep it.

Do you know if the update would concern stability or the return of the great features S Note once had?

Stability I guess.. They won't change features.. If they do it will be note 10.1 2015 edition.

So I factory reset mine. Kind of a hassle having to redownload an reconfigure stuff, but oh well. The wake to lock screen is now much faster but S Note is still slow, maybe 20% faster in the page to page swipes, but still slow overall. I may have to just switch to LectureNotes or Note Anytime...

I'm glad it's a little faster. I've switched to Lecture notes. So far it's a good replacement if you don't depend on shape or formula match. S Note is still questionable on my tab as well, but the crashing at least decreased. Lecture Notes has a free trial I think so you would have nothing to lose

The problem I have with Lecture Notes is not syncing between devices. With Evernote (Skitch) or S-Note with Evernote sync or Samsung sync it works pretty good. Also, with Note Anytime it sync really well and also to my Windows 8 notebook and iPad. Lecture Notes is like an island unto itself and I have too many devices

Google Cardboard DIY virtual reality app not working on note 2 ?

At the recent google IO, a fun little project was launched.
https://developers.google.com/cardboard/
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.samples.apps.cardboarddemo
It's called cardboard, and it's google take on smartphone / VR helmet. I was really curious to try it on my Note 2, specially since I already had a helmet. (Made it when I was bored some time ago.)
Saddly, it seems the app won't work on a galaxy note 2. It should, but it doesn't.
So I wondered, does anyone else tried the app ? Did you manage to make it work on note 2 ?
Hi there! Same thing happens with me and not only with that app, with Google camera as well.
I'm running stock kitkat from samsung.
Could this problem be from Google apps?
It appears our devices don't support the "GL_EXT_robustness extension"
I encountered the same issue with WebGL not being supported in Chrome. It appears this is why.
i tried it in a stock i9300 and i9500 and both crash .

Thanks for the answer. Already clearer.
Would switching to a non-samsung rom help support it ? ( I guess not, even non-samsung rom probably use samsung drivers.)
Did anyone tryed to use the VR Toolkit provided by google?
I would like to know if apps build with this crash on the note 2.
I have a note 2 on the sprint network(sph-l900 running 4.4.2)
and the app works on mine
as for the cardboard case it seems the note 2s size may cause problems(i will be adding 1/4 inch to the front cover)
the note 2s camara is blocked(i will cut my own hole to compensate for phone difference)

Well, the app was just updated. Like 5 minutes ago on my phone. And now it works. On my note 2, only the "windy day" demo crash.
More info I found though on the subject though :
https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=288731
"The problem is that the EXT_robustness implementation on the Mali-400 does not support reset notification. However, Chrome doesn't use virtual GL contexts on these GPUs, so in theory the effects of WebGL shaders could be confined to the respective WebGL GL context.
I did some further testing (https://codereview.chromium.org/24037006/) and turns out it's still possible for long running shaders in the WebGL contexts to block GL execution in other contexts -- not limited ones in Chrome. Based on this I don't think we want to enable WebGL on Mali-400 based devices.
Note that users can still override this by disabling the "Software rendering list" in about://flags."

Even though I figured it wouldn't be the correct dimensions I went ahead and made the case per the instructions and the biggest issue is the focal point. Everything else including the magnet placement works. I'm going to pull the pdf into photoshop and increase all of the dimensions so it will actually be able to encase the Note 2.

I finished it a couple of days ago and just got around to printing it and cutting it out of cardboard. It needs a little tweaking, but otherwise works pretty good. I need to scale it down just a bit since the one I made accounts for my phone being in my otterbox case. I'm almost done with that one though so I should have it complete in a day or two.
I've included a picture of my completed in-case version looks like. I still need to make one change I know of to this case. When increasing the dimensions I guess I missed making the back panel bigger so it doesn't actually close all the way now. I'll upload that one when I'm done too.
Hey SPIDERTECH,
nice to hear you got a note2-version of the cardboard. Can you share the Photoshop-file?
Best regards!

I would have had this done sooner, but I wanted to print everything out and get it assembled before making the PDFs. I've attached a ZIP with 3 pdf files to print each individually and assemble like the original. I've also included a transparent PNG and a TIFF that is the entire thing for large printing.
I need to rework the version with the otterbox since after printing and assembling it I discovered that I had missed resizing certain parts. I should have that one done soon though.

I have sent you $10.00 Spidertech for the files you just posted...when you get the one for the Note 2 with Otterbox done, I will send you more for it as well. I appreciate you sharing this, and since I am also having trouble getting my Note 2 SGH-i317 upgraded to Kitkat 4.4.2 from 4.3, I will gladly pay you if you can offer advice to me on what to do via email.
Looking forward to the Note 2 with Otterbox case files.
Thank you!

I got this template from a friend (source unknown)
I made one using tgis template and works perfect.
Its not the best looking cardboard, but fits perfectly and works great.
Also i tried downloading some SIDE BY SIDE 3d videos from YouTube and played using MxPlayer ( have to set it to 80% zoom for 720p videos to get perfect display)

I saw that you sent the donation. Thank you for that.
Was there a particular ROM you were looking at for the 4.4.2 or were you wanting to update to the official release?

Some other nice apps for use with the cardboard case can be found here http://www.divegames.com/games.html. I actually use the two I've listed below.
ViewR - uses your camera in SBS format so you can strap this to your head and view the camera feed. It has voice activated triggers that are used to change the "filter" on the screen which is actually pretty fun to play around with.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=biz.buelter.viewr
Side-By-Side Video Player - Lets you play any videos from your phone in SBS mode. The only issue I've found with it on the Note 2 is that the videos cannot be played from the gallery. If you play them from a file viewer like Astro then they work fine.

I have tried both apps. Due to loss of edge data i don't really see a point watch videos in it. Unless the videos are made to compensate the loss (round cornered videos)
Also in my first post i attached template but its not getting attached.

What phone do you use with this tablet?

I was just curious to see peoples' work flow with this tablet. Are a lot of people rocking the note 3 or 4 to have s note and scrapbook sync on both devices? I ask because I was wanting to upgrade my current phone. Typically I go for a near vanilla andriod for my phone like a nexus or moto x, but now that I have this tablet I've been considering one of the notes. Would it be worth it? I see features like handwriting and multiwindows working much better on a 10 or 12 in screen vs a 5.7 in screen, so perhaps this is simply some ocd kicking in on my part.
Note 4. Just because. Lol. I don't use S note , I use papyrus, but they sync nicley
Note 3.
I've never touched S Note or Scrapbook. I use Evernote, Lecturenotes and Sketchbook Pro.
I came from a Nexus 4 and I'm now using a T-Mobile Note 4 on AT&T as my daily driver. Haven't rooted it yet but intend to once I sort out porting over my company phone number to my personal account (in the transition stage from company provided phones to a bring-your-own-mobile program). The Nexus 4 is now just for my work emails.
I've never gotten into S-Note and Scrapbook. I just don't find that I need them for my typical use case but I did play with scrapbook to see if things sync across via Samsung Account and they do. I would imagine S-Note through Evernote would sync too but I don't like jumping through hoops so I don't bother. I use Lecturenotes for all of my note taking now and I sync that to my Dropbox using Dropsync. I'm able to access my notebooks just fine on either device so thats great.
Note Pro has me spoiled when it comes to multiwindow support. IMO its just not very useful on the Note 4. Pop open two windows and then try to use a keyboard and its just a mess LOL . . I guess its fine for watching a video while surfing or something but I don't do that personally so . . meh . .
One thing I can say about the Note 4 is that having one makes me long for an update to S-Pen features on the Note Pro. Smart select and text selection features are fantastic and will make you think "Damn, this is how it should have been all along . . "
xperia z ultra
Can you sync papyrus the same way you can sync lecture notes (dropsync)?
It sounds like a lot of people do have note phones, but that it's strictly for the hardware. That makes sense, it is one of the fastest phones with the best screen year after year. But the software and multiwindow features seem less useful. Do you guys write much on your phones? I've gotten use to and enjoy writing on my tablet, but I think it would be a lot harder to do it on a phone where I wouldn't be able to rest my wrist anywhere.
It sounds like it might be best for me to start using something like lecture notes or papyrus, then load it on to whatever phone I get. That way I could do all my writing on my tablet, but be able to reference my notes from my phone still.
Sidenote, after reading your posts I started messing around with my apps for taking notes. I realized that with air command off, you can draw shapes and clip part of the screen, then share it to any app you wish. I like that a lot more than the scrapbook option through air command.

You probably can but I haven't been successful with it yet. Papyrus saves its data in a secure location that requires root access to get to it but from what I can tell Dropsync can't see it. I haven't spent any time trying to see if Dropsync can access root though . . I'm sure if there are other sync products out there that get root access then one could use that instead. Unfortunately while Papyrus supports Box and Dropbox it's only for file opening or saving type stuff and not for the storage of your entire notebook database. If it did that (allow you to select a path where all Papyrus data would reside in your Dropbox) that would be sweet.

Writing on the phone is challenging, I do it once in a while for quick text messages and whatnot but yeah I agree that without a place to rest my palm on there's no way to do extended writing sessions. Honestly though if I know I'm going to need to take notes in a meeting then my Note Pro comes with me. The Note 4 is more for availability of my stuff when I didn't anticipate the need of the tablet.

You don't have to turn off Air Command to do screen clipping; instead just click and hold the button on the stylus BEFORE you bring it near the screen, then bring the tip to the screen to draw a marquee around what you want to clip, let go of the stylus button once you're done and the selection popup window should appear.

Oh sorry, still new to the site in general. I figured the thread was more on the general topic of news on products(note 4 and this tablet vs. Something like a nexus 6), Samsung's ecosystem (especiallywith the spen) , etc versus a straight how do I get X rom/app/adapter to work.
